Put your money to work fighting climate change. Target up to 8% annual returns investing in companies that provide solar energy access to African families. Start with as little as £50. Don’t invest unless you’re prepared to lose all the money you invest. This is a high - risk investment and you are unlikely to be protected if something goes wrong.

Have recently invested in social projects via Energise Africa. They provide very clear and useful information on them as an organisation, on each investment scheme, and transparent about the limitations and basis of the investments. I'm looking to gradually invest more with them due to good returns

Thank you so much for allowing me to make ethical investments

Very efficient and insist on the disclosure document being read or at least downloaded.
Once registered the organization is impressive even from the antipodes. The offers are often relatively small so I sometimes miss out as the notification is times for UK investors.
Putting some money into slightly risky investments while probably doing good in a global fashion is easy at EnergiseAfrica.

This was the latest investment I have made with Energise Africa. Each time it has been straightforward to action, clear what I am investing in and the nature of these bonds.

Four (so far) out of my 15 investments are no longer meeting their capital and interest payment obligations.
There is no positive news coming from the platform. They ought to be totally transparent and report on how many previous investments are failing to meet their obligations
This is an increasingly risky area of investment, and with domestic inflation rates at 10%, you can invest your capital much more safely than this.
Update as of 11 November 2022. So this week I was informed by Energise Africa that Redavia in which I have bonds in two issues have gone into liquidation. The most recent bond issue was May this year. I have potentially lost £3600 on this I'll fated venture. By the way it seems the physical assets of the companies are squirrelled away in other entities. BEWARE!

It wasn't until I called you that I discovered the business account name had to be in capital letters i.e. SHAREIN LTD. Please make this clear. Also I want my investment to be in an ISA wrapper. Can you confirm this will happen. Thank you

This ethical investment platform does a great job in facilitating solar power to developing countries. The end result of an investment is to displace fossil fuels like kerosene for lighting, reduce CO2 emissions and create a healthier environment for many as using kerosene indoors is not good for the good of those breathing the resulting fumes. As you will see from some of the projects the benefits of solar PV are also now extended to the business sectors and the investments on offer allow users like me to feel like I'm doing some good with my money....something I do not feel if it is languishing in a bank or building society.

Clear & easy to use website - and based on considerable previous experience, usually trouble free, but staff are helpful if anything goes wrong with a transaction.

Simple and straightforward to use, and a good way to contribute to the installation of renewable energy in Africa

Investing in bonds for good causes (which may be risky) made easy

Reply from Energise Africa
Easy to use platform and I'd like to think is helping to do my bit both for the planet and ethical causes. So far, the companies that I’ve funded have met their obligations except one that has suspended final reimbursement while it reviews options for refunding after COVID disruption to it’s business model. That’s a reminder that these investment are not risk free.
