Energy Advice Team provides independent, impartial advice to homeowners who are considering solar panels, battery storage and other home energy solutions. Choosing a solar system can be confusing. Homeowners are often presented with several quotations recommending different numbers of panels, different battery capacities, different equipment and very different estimates of savings and return on investment. It can be difficult to know which recommendation is genuinely right for the property and which is primarily designed to secure a sale. Energy Advice Team offers an alternative. Rather than selling or installing solar equipment, we provide independent assessments based on the individual property, current and anticipated energy consumption, lifestyle and longer term requirements. We can also review existing solar quotations and explain the differences between the systems being proposed, including equipment, system sizing, battery storage, expected generation and the financial assumptions behind them. Our aim is not to persuade customers to buy solar. In some circumstances, our advice may be that an installation does not currently make financial sense. Each full assessment is carried out individually and customers receive a written report setting out the findings and recommendations in straightforward language, giving them the information they need to make their own informed decision. Energy Advice Team does not receive commission from solar installers for recommending a particular system or supplier. Our customer is the homeowner, and our advice is based on what we believe is appropriate for them.

Great service

Your advice was clear, concise and has helped me find my way through the Solar mire. I have to date had about 10 quotes all giving conflicting advice. With your report l now know what to zone in on and am near to making a final decision. All the best for the future.

Thank you for your lovely review, William. Making sense of conflicting solar quotations can be challenging, so I am delighted the assessment has given you clarity and confidence in your next steps.
