Avoid energydundee
Sorry, but I am not letting you away with this. I did not say you advised me to move to V4 seven months ago. You advised me two years ago and it took me seven months to get out of the contract you recommended. During this time I had four weeks with no broadband. You did precisely nothing to help me resolve the situation apart from not reply to emails and calls. If Ofcom were not so toothless I would have complained to them about you. I still might to the trading standards authorities. My utmost apologies to you for having appalling service and for being such a disreputable company.

Pressured into Contract
Currently support a 79 year old woman to leave her unsuitable contract, arranged by Energy Dundee, with Utility Warehouse (energy and mobile phone package), which she was pressurised into before Christmas 2023.
Energy Dundee 4 U staff pressurised the woman into an energy/ mobile phone deal, even when the woman repeatedly said she doesn't use a mobile phone. The staff member kept saying this was the best deal.
The woman rang Energy Dundee again to say she was not happy with the package during the cooling off period, and was told it was the best deal and if she wanted to stay with her present energy supplier it would cost more than UW.
The woman then tried twice during the Xmas period but office was closed and during this time, the Utility Warehouse contract had started and the woman was trapped into this contact.
Energy Dundee pressurised the woman into this, using jargon and speaking very quickly, which caused confusion.
It has caused extreme amount of anxiety and stress, which has impacted on her health. And has cost her a lot of money to exit early from her UW contract.
Would not recommend - don't care about their customers

High pressure sales tactics targeting vulnerable people
This company likes to target elderly people who find it hard to say no. My mother-in-law has told them previously to stop calling and they've recently started again. Despite her saying again that she didn't want to speak with them the girl was very persistent and insisted on calling back which my mil found very upsetting.

Served me right - I should have known better than to trust then.
I was perfectly happy with my energy company and had decided not to use Energy Dundee again as I had a bad experience last time, so stupidly was lured by the fact I could change from one provider to another and the early cessation of contract fees would be paid - this amounted to £1106 and new provider would only pay up to £400; I had therefore to cancel the internet & telecoms part but the energy and mobile phone had already gone through; so instead of saving money things have been more expensive - the only people to profit were Energy Dundee!

Basically an agent for UW.
Currently I'm an Octopus customer and they have tried to swap me to Utility Warehouse with quotes such as
"Recommended by Martin Lewis".... no they are not
"We'll never go above the price cap"... we'll doh, isn't that the point of a price cap.
They quoted my current rate and the utility warehouse rate but used the "I'm not sure if they include VAT". Im guessing that utility warehouse didn't and Octopus did!!!
Said they could save me £80 a month.
Now that is a blatant lie!!!!
I feel sorry for the employees really. They've changed my gas/electricity before (I assume legitimately) but since the price cap came in, all gas/electric is basically the same price, so their business model goes out of the window.
Now resorting to switching people for no reason.
Don't believe them. As other reviews have said, I think they are now just agents for Utility Warehouse.
BEWARE... research before using their recommendation (which I'm betting will be Utility Warehouse)

Switched my mums energy with your guys help and we ended up getting an excellent deal on the broadband too! She is a very low user on her energy and they were able to cut her standing charge in half. Very pleased to say the least. They switch everything without any hassle and the agent that's looking after us has been monitoring everything and keeping us right and updated on every part of the process. Even got a mobile deal that works out to not actually cost us anything. Been getting calls yearly by Kristie for a long time now and we always welcome her call as she's saved me so much money.
