Visited Helmsley and Helmsley Castle yesterday - 20th August. Think the last time we visited was possibly 20 years ago. Forgotten how interesting the site is/was although this is possibly because the information has been updated.

Very enjoyable until we tried to catch the courtesy bus back from the beach. The driver got in the vehicle and drove off when we were just 10 meters behind the bus waving to her to wait and we were totally ignored. Other than that great day.

Amendment of our arrival date.
Somehow, while pre-booking passes to Clifford's Tower, the date came up wrong. I emailed and within a day the date had been rectified to the day we wanted. I am greatly appreciative of this. Thank you again.

I had paid for a new membership but…
I had paid for a new membership but hadn’t received my pack. I had to use the live chat feature to query this and was told my membership hadn’t been activated. This was a pain, but the person who I spoke to was very helpful and sorted things. Thank you

We were looking forward to a member event at an English Heritage property, but an unforeseen family emergency prevented us from attending.
