This is very simple - I wouldn't consider going to India with anyone else other than Alok at Enriching Journeys. I have travelled far and wide over the past 40 years and have never come across a travel agent that has provided a more personalised, well thought through and organised, and thoroughly enriching journey.

I must thank Alok for the incredible travel plans he put together for myself and my daughter to Rajasthan and Goa in March - it was our first time in India and we really appreciated how Alok listened to our interests, but also guided us to be realistic about what was possible to do in the three weeks that we had. As a result we had a perfectly paced trip, with a lovely mix of city as well as some incredibly rural stays (which were actually our highlights), meeting locals, eating delicious food, and taking part in some great hands on experiences. It was a life changing journey. To finish off with a few days of total relaxation in Goa was the perfect end of our favourite travel experiences ever. I am an Australian who has travelled to India 4 times and on the last 3 have been a client of Alok’s team at Enriching Journeys. The Enriching Journeys trips have been about 3,000 road kms with an excellently appointed hire car and expert driver and a couple of rail legs.

It is a given that accommodation arrangements are seamless and matched to the experience we seek and itinerary planning results in full days without being overloaded.

What really sets Alok’s team apart is attention to detail and the high quality of guides and drivers who are mature people that treat you like a long-lost friend and pick up on whether you want to move on or linger at a particular experience, and whether you require ongoing commentary or the space to soak in the experiences of monuments, shopping, industry, or culture and everyday life in your own space.

To anyone considering a first trip to this wonderous country, I would say it is a place like no other and after going you will timeline your life as “before India - and after India”. That said, the press of human activity and blend of ancient tradition and large-scale modernity can be a bit overwhelming, and to get the very best of it you could not put yourself in better hands than Team-Alok.

You use this company for a real experience. Our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the history and hidden gems. The pacing was perfect, he did what we wanted to do, eat food, see places that were not on a normal tour. I am actually a travel agent so I am fussy about who does my travel.
