Booked a premium vehicle (Audi A6)

Booked a premium vehicle (Audi A6), but it was not available at pickup.

I was given a lower-class vehicle (Passat SW) with minimal price difference and no real alternative.

This is not an acceptable substitution for a premium booking.

Customers should not be forced into lower categories due to availability issues.

Very disappointing experience.

Shameful experience.

Customers left stranded and lied to about their rights.

Terrible experience with Alamo at Frankfurt-Hahn. I had a confirmed reservation made 45 days ago and fully paid for a one-week rental. They sent a cancellation email while my flight was already in the air. After staying at the airport hotel and arriving at the counter at 8:00 AM, I was told they had zero cars available—not even a higher or lower category. Nothing.

I asked to be taken to another branch; they claimed that since it was Saturday, branches closed at 12:00 PM and it "made no sense." I then requested a transfer to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) to get a car there, but they lied again, claiming there were no cars available there either. Furthermore, they refused to provide a formal complaint form or any written proof of their lack of availability, falsely claiming I had "no rights" because the contract hadn't started yet since no keys were handed over. This is a complete lie intended to avoid legal liability for breach of contract.

I was forced to make an emergency booking with another company, paying €623 for the only car they had left—nearly triple my original price. Do not book here unless you want to be left stranded at the airport.

Airport Palma der Mallorca

Airport Palma der Mallorca

The overall experience with Enterprise was mixed and unfortunately left a negative impression.

At pickup, the staff was friendly and the shuttle service worked well. The driver was very helpful and welcoming. We also received a brand new car (Seat Arona), which was in excellent condition.

However, the rental process involved constant upselling. We were repeatedly encouraged to upgrade the car and purchase additional insurance products. While this is common, the persistence felt excessive.

We eventually agreed to an additional roadside assistance package for €100, as we were told we would otherwise have to organize and pay for towing ourselves in case of a breakdown.

A major issue occurred at drop-off. We were clearly informed at pickup that the car had a half-full tank and should be returned the same way. However, at return, we were told that their policy only allows “full or empty” and that half-full is not accepted.

Despite returning the car with more fuel than we received (approximately 3/4 full), we were told we would be charged €150. This was confusing and did not make sense, as it contradicts the initial instructions.

After discussion, a partial refund was processed, but the situation felt inconsistent and unprofessional. It created unnecessary stress at the end of the trip.

In summary, while the car and some staff were good, the unclear fuel policy and aggressive upselling significantly affected the overall experience.

We would not choose this rental company again.

We renteDeposit Withheld Without Justification – 6 Months of No Resolutiond a car from Memmingen and…

We rented a car from Memmingen and returned it early in the morning at Memmingen Airport parking.

A month later, our deposit had still not been refunded. After contacting them, we were told we had exceeded the mileage limit. In reality, we had driven less than half of the allowed kilometers under the contract.

For the past six months, we have been trying to recover our deposit. We only receive generic responses saying they will get back to us — but nothing happens.

Unprofessional handling and poor customer service. I do not recommend this company.

Overcharged for an entire day + dirty car with oil lack

had an extremely frustrating and frankly unacceptable experience with Netprise.

I was charged for services that do not reflect the actual usage period, and despite providing clear evidence (including timestamped documentation), the company refused to correct what is obviously an overcharge. This is not a minor billing discrepancy—it shows either a lack of proper tracking systems or a complete disregard for basic customer fairness.

What is particularly concerning is the absence of transparent time-recording or verification mechanisms. In any professional service context, especially one involving rentals or usage-based billing, accurate tracking is the bare minimum. The fact that this is missing—or ignored when challenged—is highly problematic.

Customer service has been equally disappointing. Instead of acknowledging the issue or offering a reasonable adjustment, the response was rigid, dismissive, and entirely unhelpful. There was no attempt to resolve the situation in a customer-oriented way, no goodwill gesture, and no accountability.

This experience leaves the impression that Netprise prioritizes extracting maximum payment over maintaining trust or long-term customer relationships. I would strongly advise others to double-check all charges and document everything carefully if dealing with this company.

Overall: Poor transparency, inadequate systems, and unacceptable customer handling.

Awful experience

Very rude, disrespectful customer representatives. Staff was ignorant, not very knowledgeable at all.
Not very helpful at all. Complete wast of time. Truly awful experience, despite paying lot of money. Don't use enterprise car hire at Frankfurt Airport.

Very disappointing experience with…

Very disappointing experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car Germany.

Before starting my rental, I carefully documented the vehicle condition with photos and a full video. The documentation clearly showed multiple scratches on the vehicle as well as a missing rear logo. As instructed by Enterprise staff, I sent this evidence by email before the rental began, and I also received confirmation that my email was delivered.

Despite this, I was later charged €1,500 for alleged damage without any proper explanation and no proof that any new damage occurred during my rental.

Since then, I have:
• Contacted both the Ulm and Oberhausen branches
• Been redirected between locations with no clear responsibility
• Resent all evidence including timestamps from my phone
• Sent multiple follow-up emails

However, I have still not received a clear response or resolution.

This level of communication and handling is not what I expected from a reputed international company. Charging the full excess amount without proper justification and then not responding to the customer is extremely disappointing.

I would still prefer to resolve this matter directly, but if this issue is not addressed, I will proceed with a formal chargeback and further escalation.

Price of Petrol

The Employee at the desk impliciatly told me that it , given war in Iran, would be cheaper to let Enterprise fill up the car with Petrol, as the cost pr. Liter was 2 EUR. The price was stated on a poster hanging on the wall. Now they have invoiced 3,78 EUR/l. I had lots of time to fill it up, but didn’t because og his statement.

Now I want to complain but can only get to a callcenter in US, which is closed. Not good service!

I would give 0 stars - But need to give 1

I was trying Enterprise for the first time, now it will also be the last :-(

Don't trust to honor your reservation

Location gave away my rental because I didn't arrive within an unpublished 30 minute window after my booking - which is consistent with what many other reviews say is a problem here. More importantly, this location didn't do what I have experienced worldwide elsewhere, which is even a minimal good-faith attempt to recover my reservation or match it. Instead, they immediately offered a much more expensive upsell. Avoid like the plague.

⭐ 1/5

⭐ 1/5 – Avoid Enterprise Leipzig City Center – Prager Str. 38-40 Germany At All Costs
February 28, 2026

Do not rent from this branch. I am a 20-year loyal global Enterprise customer and this was the worst rental experience of my life.

What happened:

I had a confirmed reservation and asked in advance for pickup for my rsvp time but was denied. So I told them I'd be taking the bus there. I became stranded at a tram stop for 30 minutes. I called again for pickup and was told there was a city-wide transport strike. The employee—a fluent English speaker—pretended he couldn't understand my spelling of the street name of where I was and hung up. He then blocked my number.

I took a €25 taxi to the branch to reach them before they closed. Because I am disabled, I summoned the police to help mediate what I knew was already egregiously unprofessional behavior. Upon my arrival to the branch, the young employees tried to bait and switch to a different class of car. When I asked why they had left me stranded they said I was insulting them and were canceling my reservation. Back inside the office, another employee said he could process my taxi receipt and the car rental but he was stopped by the other employee. When I asked them to contact their manager they responded by trying to trespass me as the police arrived. Apparently the other employee had gone in the back to report me for trespassing in retaliation for my having summoned them.

They didn't want to do their work that day and manufactured WILD lies to the police who chose to believe them instead of helping me as had been their original reason to come in the first place. In the end, I was denied a car for being late, given some letter by the police about trespass and insult, and told the manager and his employees declined to press any charges. The employees did however, demonstrably celebrate loudly with the police their apparent take down of an innocent customer. I took another €35 taxi to leave. €60 out of pocket for a reservation they confirmed and then refused to honor.

The bottom line:

They lied about why they cancelled
They straight out lied to police multiple times
They used "Hausrecht" to bully rather than serve
Management was unavailable
A 20-year loyal customer meant nothing to them

I will be filing formal charges against both of their employees for their wanton coordinated malicious actions of false accusations against a disabled person that caused me a great deal of real harm beyond the €60 taxi fees and destroyed plans with the intent of criminalizing me and threatening my presence in their country.

There are plenty of other rental agencies in Leipzig. Use one of them.

Supstandard Rental Car Company

Would not give even one star if I could. Rented a car in Germany and got subsequently billed for the deposit instead of the rental fee. More than double. Nobody was willing to correct the mistake. Months of trying to work with those people who were either not willing or incompetent in fixing the issue. Long story short, the incorrect bill with an amount that was way too high was sent to a collection agency. Would not ever recommend a rental with this substandard company.

I booked a car for pickup at Dusseldorf…

I booked a car for pickup at Dusseldorf Airport online. Upon arriving, we were told that the car we booked is not available, so we settled for a non premium car. When we returned the car, they found two scratches on the car (same spot, few centimeters appart) that we definitely did not cause. We were charged 1200 eur immeditaley. When I conntacted them through lawyer and we wrote them that they are obliged to send us bill for fixing the car, they sent us estimate of 1.700 eur for repair. This was a business trip which felt sour because of this, and I will stay away from them for the rest of my life. Not to mention the impoliteness of the employee when we returned the car back.

Card charged without consent - money lost

They charged my card for a rental without my consent. Now they do not refund me.
Despite this, their cars usually are not well cleaned. I do not rent with them any more. Other companies provide more service for similar rates.

Absolute Nightmare – Avoid Enterprise Autovermietung at All Costs

I rented a car from Enterprise Autovermietung GmbH and showed up at the agreed time and date to pick it up. Sadly, they told me one of their cars had broken down and they couldn’t provide the vehicle I booked. I had no choice but to leave and rent from another company at short notice, with much extra costs.

Now, four months later, I still haven’t received a refund. Every time I contact them, I am bounced between managers, assistants, and interns, all claiming they are not responsible. Sometimes, they leave me on hold for 30 minutes until I hang up or they stop answering my phone number.

This is completely unacceptable. I never expected such poor service and lack of accountability from a German company. I have documented every interaction with dates and times. I will be taking legal action to receive my refund, compensation for the additional costs I incurred, and lawyer fees.

Four months and I have not even received a refund for a service I never received. This company’s handling of the situation has been unprofessional, disrespectful. Avoid at all costs.

They tried to charge crazy money for damage I did not do

I had an appalling experience with Enterprise/Alamo at Munich airport and I strongly warn others to be extremely careful. However, after writing to their head office, they were professional and refunded the unfair damage charges.

After returning the car, Alamo charged me €2,094.10 for three scratches on the wheel rims — damage I am absolutely certain I did not cause and which is excessive for this kind of cosmetic minimal damage. The car was driven only on motorways and main roads, from the airport directly to my hotel’s private parking, where it stayed unmoved for 10 days, and then straight back to the airport. I never parked near pavements or anywhere that could cause rim damage. Anyone who drives knows this type of damage can only occur by scraping a curb — which simply did not happen.

What makes this worse:

My contract excess was €1,050, yet they charged my card double that amount claiming that there were separate instances and the excess is applied per instance! Sent them several emails to which they initially did not reply but after writing to the head office they were professional and refunded me.

So all OK at the end.

I am in the process of a dispute over…

I am in the process of a dispute over an exaggerated charge for a scuff on the front bumper. They are trying to charge me euro 2,000 for the scuff. Three emails to them without a single reply. They were very quick to charge my credit card, but no no reply whatsoever from them justifying the exorbitant charge.
