Would not recommend

Unfortunately, my husband and I were in a car accident. We had to rent a car since ours was towed. We made a reservation online at enterprise to pick up the next day. Our pick up time was 11:00 AM. When we got to enterprise in Tucson, Arizona on 22nd St. and Kolb Road, they did not have a car for us. The worker named Josh was less than helpful. He said I’m very sorry, but we have no cars for you. And I asked why they made the reservation. He stated well they should not have and we’ve had people that have been on the waitlist for weeks now so they will come first. While we were there an older couple came in after they had had a car accident that morning at 9 AM. Guess who is getting a car, they were??? How, if we had a reservation from what Josh said at 7:30 AM that morning , and they had their car accident at 9 AM that morning, how did they get a car? He could not give me an answer. He told me that I would have to call around to all the other enterprises in town to see if they had a car for us. He did not offer to do it. He did not offer to help us! So thank goodness I had my car and that we didn’t just get dropped off. So I started to call around, and enterprise had no cars available at any Tucson location until later that evening. How does the company make a reservation and not stand by it??? Absolutely ridiculous! So we went with someone else, Budget! I would recommend you do not use this company as they do not stand by what they do! and to this day, I will not understand why the couple that had gotten in the accident that very morning got a car and we did not. Seems shady, doesn’t it?

Avoid Enterprise Wrexham!

So here we are again, not for the first time, having to provide a one star review for Enterprise, Wrexham branch this time (as opposed to Chester last time around). So previously I had cause to complain because my car turned up three hours late, way too late to make a business meeting that same day. Worse still, Enterprise Chester tried to charge me for fuel I hadn’t used. This time around the Wrexham branch went one step better and didn’t deliver the car at all, despite being advised the previous evening that a car would be delivered. Actually, I am fibbing, they did deliver a car, just to the wrong address! Excuses given: it was late and dark and we couldn’t see; we don’t always use the same teams to deliver so they didn’t realise they had delivered to the wrong address (having previously delivered to the correct address); the neighbour should have called me to let me know a mistake had been made. I have afforded Enterprise Wrexham a month or so to provide an explanation/apology, as the representative said the branch manager would. Of course nothing has arrived. What annoys me most, both in the case of Chester and Wrexham, is the complete disinterest in the inconvenience caused. In both cases I was unable to attend critical business meetings. No plausible explanation, no apology, no attempt to put things right. I have written to my employer to ask that their contract with Enterprise is cancelled. I suggest you avoid Enterprise Rent a Car at all costs!

Avoid at all costs, or it will cost you

I booked a car in Perth with Enterprise, they were lovely when I picked it up, fine when I dropped it off with no damage and then with no details or communication they charge me over 4000 AUD for damage via Redspot Car Hire Perth. Just stole the money. No details, nothing,so nothing I can dispute, no information on the damage, not money owed from enterprise, just their partners smacking me up the maximum allowed dollar for the excess. I thought by going with a big brand I would avoid this kind of corruption. Avoid at all costs is my advice, they are crooks.

Was taken advantage of ($$$ fees)

Received awful service during a damage report. We caused damaged which I was of course happy to pay for. The company the took the opportunity to claim a whole bunch of other damaged that was already reported prior to the rental. It was in the reports, and documented by photos of myself prior to the rental.

Their senior supervisor who has worked at the company for 10+ years, won't name her to give her the benefit of doubt, who lead their efforts simply ignored me when it was evident I was right. Super poor, and whilst I can't blame her necessarily (maybe policies internally prevented her from doing the right thing) she never responded to my emails and never called me to clarify despite multiple attempts from my side.

THE DEPOSIT DISAPPEARS

Never again with this company. Zero stars if possible. No photos were taken when check-in. The tank was not full. On the return, the employee just took the keys without taking any pictures or inspection of the car in my presence. No documents, no signatures when returning the car. Less than an hour later the deposit was immediately withdrawn from my card - 450 euros. They act quite quickly in this regard. After a while they sent me a picture of a very small scratch that can be seen when shining a strong light on it.

This review is for Pula airport

This review is for the Pula airport branch in Croatia.
I spent 2 days trying to find a car rental agency, as the majority of places had absolute horror stories associated with them, predominantly around returning the vehicle and getting charged hundreds or Euros for false damage claims - the favourite being damage UNDERNEATH the bumper!!
Enterprise came up with having the least bad reviews, but I must admit I did hand the keys over with a degree of trepidation!

Firstly, the price was super reasonable. Like any sensible traveller, I got 3rd party insurance instead of getting striped up with the rental agency policies.
On arrival we were lucky enough to be near the front of the queue - Pula is not a large airport and this agency deals with Alamo and another mainstream rental company.
They were efficient and pleasant to deal with, and though we’d hired a mid sized car, we were overjoyed at being handed the keys to a Jeep Compass!!
There were a couple of scrapes on it, but they were listed on the documentation, and I was shown a tool which governs the size of acceptable dinks or scrapes. We were also advised that a tyre sensor was not working and incorrectly highlighting low pressure on one of the wheels. It was fine and an issue I’ve seen before on cars.

Before driving off I took a slow video of the ENTIRE CAR, not forgetting the wheels. It’s important.

12 days later we returned the Jeep - it was well behaved the entire time - and we had a great holiday!

When we returned and the attendant checked over the car, she highlighted a wheel with a scrape on it. I provided the video I’d taken previously which showed the same damage and she was fine with everything else. Again, pleasant demeanour and friendly.

Nice company - the wheel damage was slight and I’d give them the benefit of the doubt for picking it up as it didn’t look old. Just make sure you take a thorough recording of the car before you drive it away.

The worst experience with a rental car…

The worst experience with a rental car company ever. Arrived at the pick up at Brisbane airport only to find they had gone home, even though they told us they would wait as jetstar was 20 mins late as usual BUT they did not wait. BEWARE

Rude, condescending, dismissive

Enterprise car hire Australia, like most of the car hire companies, will gouge and take every single fee & charge possible. Enterprise increased my tolls by 75% even though I had the car plate on my Linkt tolls account. Then when I told Enterprise they made me jump through hoops to prove it and when I proved it they called me a liar and wanted more proof. They want me to spend hours to get back a few dollars KNOWING that nobody will bother so they get to rip people like me with their extra hidden fees and charges.

Also, they took a $1000 deposit, which now over a week after I returned the vehicle has STILL not been refunded to my account so who knows what other fees and charges they will come up with before I get my money back or even if they will give my $1000 back!

Enterprise car hire customer service were rude, condescending, dismissive. They said that if I want to make complaints that they will black ball me from their company and refuse any further car rentals. I told them that if they were the last car hire car in the world and I had to drive to Perth from the Gold Coast that I would rather walk until my feet were bloody than do business with them in any form.

Enterprise car hire seem to have no concept of customer relations, no concept of how to do business and nurture relationships and do not care as there's always another trusting sucker waiting.

All car hire companies are 5 star UNTIL something goes wrong and so ALL the reviews here that say ALL was fine are when nothing went wrong! Read the reviews where something went wrong and you see the true nature of a company and this company, Enterprise, is just like all big corporations where we are just numbers to be crunched and all their pretty advertising about great service and fair charges is just puff, lies and mirrors designed to misdirect while they gouge every cent they can possibly get away with.

Any response by Enterprise here will no doubt be misinformation and pathetic excuses for their shameful behaviour and actions. The CEO of Enterprise car hire should hang their head in shame, I am appalled by this constant corporate greed and the ripping off of the little person.

Unreliable Service and Poor Customer…

Unreliable Service and Poor Customer Support

I had a very frustrating experience with this company regarding a vehicle booking made well in advance. We booked the vehicle for a trip scheduled on the 5th of August , with all details confirmed under booking reference 1664978878. On the day of collection, we were told that our booking "did not exist" despite multiple confirmations in the days leading up to our trip.

The staff offered no immediate solution and showed little concern for the inconvenience they caused. We were left stranded, forced to scramble for an alternative on our own. Even after contacting the office and requesting to speak with a manager, we received no meaningful assistance.

We were promised updates, but since that day, we have never heard back from the company. Not even an apology for the disruption or any follow-up regarding the mishap. The lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable, especially for a service many depend on for important travel plans.

I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to think twice—poor service, no follow-up, and complete disregard for customer experience.

1.5 hours to pick up a pre booked car

1.5 hour wait to pick up a pre booked car hire.

We waited 55 minutes for the desk at palma airport. Then when we finally got there…. You have to go queue in another queue in the car park. That was another 35 mins. The queue was snaking down the corridor and I heard it was pretty normal.

Given we pre booked it shouldn’t take 1.5 hours to pick up the keys and get the car.

Enterprise - Zurich Airport

Hard to award above 2 starts. The bulk of their job to provide me with a vehicle I booked was OK. I was handed the keys and somebody pointed at the car. Given it was a hybrid I'd never driven before I'd have appreciated some form of interaction on the controls. They did manage to speak long enough to try to sell me an upgrade and roadside assistance on a new car though. On the return I filled up the car at a petrol station next to the airport return multi-storey. I then took the 1 minute to drive from the station to drop off the car. They have now emailed me an invoice for 4.11 Swiss Francs. Really? How utterly pathetic. I'm not sure how they got any more petrol in. I can almost guarantee it wasn't topped up like that over the shut off when they gave it to me.

They just completely ignore your emails and give no alternative

After a successful hire, we were charged a £35 admin fee to our credit card for 'fines' associated with the hire. Turns out, we had forgotten to pay the Dartford crossing. I immediately called the Dartford crossing line, explained the situation and they waived the fine and we just paid the £2.50 fee.

I wrote to drfine @ ehi.com as instructed to get the £35 claim back. After 3 weeks and 2 follow ups, I still had no response. I went into the physical Ber Street Norwich pickup centre and asked about it. I was told there was no other way to contact support other than that email and "we agree, they're terrible at responding. Cc' me in and I'll see if I can move things along."

Cc'd in the Branch manager Alex Bates. Still no response from anyone 25 days later. Phoned up Ber Street and got another manager's name (Edward Bye) and cc'd him in. Still no response 18 days later.

Clearly they intend to ignore me until I give up. I'm lucky I'm only down £35, sounds like others here are losing thousands of pounds to this company. I won't stop contacting them until someone responds to me.

Enterprise Burton on Trent

Enterprise Burton on Trent. I had a reservation booking booked at this branch which was cancelled because enterprise did not have the vehicle they said they had. 19 days later and I finally get my money back. Beware of this branch they refuse to process refunds I had to contact customer services to sort this out. Very disappointed in this company it’s not worth trying to hire a vehicle off this company.

Never hire a car from this companyNever…

Never hire a car from this companyNever use this company. They demanded a $1008 deposit hold for the car hire. Took the car back in perfect condition with a full tank.
The I was told it will take up to one month to get my deposit back. They must be earning interest on everybody’s money.
Contacted my bank and the said it should only take 2 days.

Called up their support but they could not give me any timeframe and that how the company works. Nearly 3 weeks now and I still don’t have my money.

This company is a scam. Never use them.

Jamal at Huddersfield Branch

Excellent service from Jamal at Huddersfield.

I went to pick up a car that my insurance arranged. I was greeted by Jamal and he was both professional and informative.

He explained the process, carried out all the required checks and answered any questions I had.

Thank you very much!

Extortion.Fraud.Extremely not happy.

We are extremely not happy about the Enterprise Chippenham. Our insurer chose Enterprise for booking cortensy car. When we receive the car we just quickly looked around with the Enterprise employee. We found a scratch on the wheels rim, and said they are aware of it. We had a car for over a week, driving just to work. After returning the vehicle the lady - Z.C. was checking the car around. It took her seconds to walk the car around and suddenly stopped by the wheels tyres and find small chip. It is something very difficult to see, definitely more time is needed to notice it. But for her it was couple of seconds. We are sure they were aware of the damage before. Also the chip was exactly next to the wheel rim damage they knew about before. So that was probably damaged at the same time. We wanted to see the picture of the car taken the day we have received it to see if it was in perfect condition or the damage was there. We didn't want to pay for it. But the lady said that her manager is not in and she can't let us go and took a money from our debit anyway and it was £198. She didn't even wanted to talk to us, she was chasing to finish the conversation over. That was a fraud, extortion. We feel deceived.
Everyone please make sure before you get the car from them you take plenty of time to check everything, literally everything and take lots of picture so they don't hit you up for a money.

Unacceptable Charges (£2000) and Poor Service - Avoid Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I had a very disappointing experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Belfast. They charged me £1500 for an almost invisible scratch that was already there when they handed over the car. Despite my insistence, they refused to provide a damage report at the time of pick-up and assured me that everything was fine. They didn't take a video of the car or suggest we check for any scratches, making us feel we were ready to go.

When returning the car at the airport, the staff suddenly spotted the pre-existing scratch and demanded £2000. After reviewing my contract, I noted that the excess should be £1500, which is still an unacceptable charge given the circumstances.

Moreover, the baby car seat they provided was old and without any manual. The staff informed us they are not responsible for installing it. With a baby under one year old, it was extremely challenging to install an outdated car seat without any instructions, which were also impossible to find online.

Overall, the service was incredibly frustrating, and the unexpected charges are unacceptable. I would strongly advise avoiding Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
