They should be investigated for breach of GDPR

Acting illegally, using private data against GDPR.
I’m currently being bombarded with mailshots, catalogues and magazines, from companies I’ve never shopped at.
I contacted a few of these companies who said Epsilon Abacus provided my details to them.
WHY isn’t EA being prosecuted for this illegal and extremely aggravating activity?

I will never buy from a company that bombards me with their mailshots, EVER!
Waste of paper and resources.
I wish I knew which company provided Epsilon with my address in the first place, as I never tick any third party marketing.

LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE FINALLY BEEN CAUGHT!!! I RATE THEM 0 STARS!!

Epsilon A Scam. Got locked into this catch 22, add more money and then more commission, then you can get your money out, But the system is designed so you never finish evaluating your 38 products before it asks for more money. Mine was at 2500USD before I got another package and now add in further 2500USD to get more commission. The system is designed to catch, so you never get enough money out as income. Any you do get out, you have to put back into the system. Just round and round the same problem. I gave up lost £571 and quit. I did not have 2500 USD to give to the system. Don't waste your time a scam. Which is shame that the company have created a system to scam their employees instead of benefitting them.

The Epsilon Platform is a SCAM!!
I have paid over £3,000 and I couldn't make a withdrawal, because every time I got closer to completing the package given, they sent me this "Super Deal" congratulating me and asking me to pay more money than previously. They made me believe that I would get all my money back plus a large commission.

Beware of Work-from-Home Scams – My Experience

I want to share my experience to warn others about a scam that cost me £2,000. As a 19-year-old looking for work-from-home opportunities, I came across a platform that claimed I could earn money simply by reviewing 38 products a day. They made it seem legitimate by depositing a small amount into an account they asked me to set up on their website, making it look like they genuinely paid for the work.

However, as I continued, I was told that to unlock higher earnings, I needed to deposit money myself. First, they asked for £1,500, then another £1,500, promising returns between £8,000 and £10,000. When I realized this was a scam and confronted them, they denied it and told me I could withdraw my money at any time by contacting customer service. But when I did, I was told I could only withdraw if I deposited even more money to complete the “level” I was on—clearly a tactic to take even more from me.

The scammers pretended to be real people, including a woman claiming to be a housewife with two kids trying to make extra income. I trusted them, and now I’m devastated to have lost £2,000—an enormous amount of money for someone my age.

I have alerted my bank, but I want to make others aware so that no one else falls for this scam. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Please be careful and do your research before trusting any online work-from-home opportunities.

No idea how they got my details. They have somehow now obtained my married name and started selling that despite only the NHS, Bank and HMRC knowing these details. They ignore emails and their phone number just tells you to email or look at their policy. I have put in 2 formal requests one via their website and one via email for all the details they hold on me website I got no response and I'll await to see if I get anything by email.

Absolute nightmare. Get sent rubbish every other day

My personal data was sold to Hello Fresh without my knowledge of them ever having it in the first place and certainly without my express permission to do so. I will be reporting both companies to the ICO for breach of GDPR. They need to be closed down for illegal and immoral practices leaving unwitting individuals open to identity fraud selling information they have no right to access

They are the worst. After being deluged by catalogues for months I finally discovered my data was being shared via them. I've contacted them and all the companies sending me catalogues that I never signed up for and I'm still getting them through the post. Don't understand how their business doesn't contravene GDPR. Abacus Alliance were given my personal data without my express consent, or knowledge until I got junk mail. I am still struggling to communicate with them to tell them to take my data off their system. Does anyone know if there is a complete list of the hundreds of UK companies who belong to their data sharing pool?

This company has illegally shared my information without my consent. Appalling organisation. I will also be reporting to the ICO.

I’ve just received a catalogue the sender has stated within the catalogue that my details originally came from this terrible company. Have done a GDPR request on another company, And ultimately had to go to the ICO who did take the case up, I may very well do the same with this companyThose of you out there who are complaining and saying somebody should report them, If you feel like that do it yourself Don’t just complain and leave it to somebody else

I too have been the unfortunate and unwilling recipient of a heap of recent direct mail catalogues. One of the companies were good enough to disclose the source of their data…

I have emailed them to stop sharing my personal data without my permission.

I have also spoken to the ICO who advised to make contact with the Direct Marketing company first and should they not be able to justify their actions based on a minority of exemptions from the GDPR regulations, they will investigate.

Please somebody investigate this company's practices. They are clearly selling my data all over the place. I've had a huge influx of catalogues, many of them citing this company as the source of their ability to contact me.

Like all other reviewers I would give NO stars but it isn't an option. I had this problem with Epsilon Abacus 2 years ago and after a very stressful time, I finally got my details removed from their data base. Now I've just found that it's starting up again. Yesterday I received an unsolicited catalogue from a fashion company and over the past couple of days received 2 unsolicited calls, one from a roof insulation company and another from an insurance claims company. I joined the dots and sure enough it's this company yet again! I'M ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS THAT 2 YEARS AFTER I STOPPED THIS COMPANY FROM SELLING MY DATA THAT THEY HAVE STARTED DOING IT ALL OVER AGAIN - HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN? WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO BE STOPPED FROM THIS DISGUSTING PRACTICE?Thank you to a previous reviewer who advised sending all unsolicited catalogues to RTS UNSOLICITED MAIL, via the Post Office who will charge the originator. I am definitely going to do this and I ask anyone else who reads this to do the same. If these originators have to pay for the return costs they may just think twice about signing up with Epsilon Abacus! As the general public we need to fight this company and put them out of business - this is OUR personal data and we should own it NOT them!

We gave just received unsolicited mail from Lloyd's Pharmacy, the background information for the mail came from Abacus Alliance.
It is despicable that a healthcare provider uses sources that have gathered information from sources who have not been given permission by the individual who owns the data, ie. the member of public concerned.
This company should be prosecuted for illegally gathering information. I'm sure that someone has something in the small print allowing sale of such personal data. This should be a legal opt in, not opt out, provision with signed consent. Too many companies use the " by using our services you are allowing" route to gain permissions. That form if data mining should be made illegal.

Trading peoples details with companies for money- avoid any company that trades with them otherwise you'll be inundated with junk emails, letters, brochures, phone calls etc.
