Worst taxi service of my life
I am submitting this review to document a highly unprofessional and unacceptable experience with Clock Tower Cabs. The service provided to my international guests and me fell far below the standards expected of a licensed taxi company, and I believe other travellers should be aware before booking.
Despite making multiple phone calls in advance to arrange and pre‑pay for airport transfers, the company failed to process the payments and did not send the required booking links. This resulted in confusion, unnecessary stress, and last‑minute issues that should never occur with a reputable operator.
When the drivers arrived, they demanded cash directly from my foreign guests, even though pre‑payment had been requested and confirmed several times. This behaviour is completely inappropriate, especially towards visitors unfamiliar with local systems. It created an uncomfortable and unprofessional situation that no guest should experience.
One driver in particular, Abdul, was notably rude. When I raised concerns, he stated openly that he did not care if I made a complaint. This level of disrespect towards a customer is unacceptable in any service industry.
In addition, the company failed to follow the very clear instructions provided:
Drivers did not meet guests in the arrivals hall at Heathrow, despite this being explicitly requested.
Drivers did not WhatsApp the guests to make contact, even though this was agreed in advance.
Instead, drivers repeatedly called me while they were driving, telling me to contact the guests on their behalf.
I also received emails stating that bookings had been cancelled, even though they had been confirmed earlier.
These repeated failures show a lack of organisation, professionalism, and basic customer care. My guests were left confused and unsupported at one of the world’s busiest airports, and I was left managing issues that should have been handled by the company.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Clock Tower Cabs. Their disregard for clear instructions, failure to provide agreed services, and the rude behaviour of their staff demonstrate a serious lack of reliability and respect for customers.
