RS Components - Poor customer service

I placed two orders with this company.1st order on the confirmation I picked up that the delivery date was 5 months from date of order as it was not a stock item.
2nd order placed. No confirmation received despite telephonic and written requests. Eventually having phoned in again I was told by one of their agents that the delivery would take 14 weeks despite the online store indicating that the product was in stock.
Really poor service.

Delivery

Ordering, paying ok but the delivery is a nightmare! If you are a small company or individual than the next working day delivery is not next working day and if you are not home and haven’t specified anything they will not deliver the parcel to the post box or letter box. Only to your hand …. If you not home they will return the parcel but they don’t pay back your £8.95 for the delivery.

RS Components ordering is really good…

RS Components ordering is really good system but once a delivery is missed, headache starts. We have requested RS to allow ATL (Authority To Leave) on delivery but never allowed. Deliveries has many chance of missing and usually because the delivery person doesn't wait enough.
Many other suppliers like Amazon always allow ATL and we never miss any order from this supplier. If a product from RS is availasble from Amazon or other suppliers that allow ATL, we would order it from Amazon or other supplier even if it costs us more than RS. Redelivery from RS is always a headache.
I just hope RS would change because I've been an RS supporter for over 30 years now.

Bought a lamp

Bought a lamp. Went to fit it but wow "no bulb".
Advertised as "Werma 200 Series Green Continuous lighting Beacon, 12 → 230 V, Base Mount, Filament Bulb, IP65". RS not willing to supply a buld despite nothing on the advert or description saying its just a case ! Peter of tech services agrred its not clear.
Considering the prices they charge its a joke. What next? A bulb with no filament in it?

Absolutely disgusted……

Absolutely disgusted……. I had my identity stolen and amongst many of the problems this has caused, an account was attempted to be opened with RS Components, I emailed them and the following morning, I received an email saying I had left items in my basket. I decided to call them ASAP to stop an order going through and explain the situation and to make sure nothing was set up using my details. The guy was very helpful and sympathetic and I explained to him some of the issues that it had caused me and he told me what he was going to do and that they take fraud very seriously etc etc. I can report that they confirmed that they had marked my file as fraud and would make sure no purchases went ahead by email. However, that 40 minute phone call to them to ensure I wouldn’t get scammed cost me £39.99 as it’s a premium rate number costing around £1 a minute! I would have been better not doing anything and just informing my bank if any order went ahead………. Turns out I was scammed……..,,, not by the identity theif……,,,,,by them!!

Great support service

Great support service! (Used the UK website)

I had account login issues that was time consuming - initially caused frustration but true to their word someone arranged a Teams call with me and sorted the issue out - quite helpful.

Please do NOT mix this company with UK and Ireland based RS Components company.

Readers, please do not mix this company with UK and Ireland based RS Components.
UK(dot)RS-online(dot)com >>> I received very good service in UK.

This site is for RS Components company in Spain.
es(dot)RS-online(dot)com >>> It has not received overall good reviews so far.

It could be pandemic havoc. Remember, Spain was hit hard with closures and riots.

RS Components seem to be in lots of countries too eg Denmark.

Two parcels to be delivered

Two parcels to be delivered, only one gets delivered. Photos and Names from delivery company completely different but RS insist it was the same GPS so must have been the same. Other photo also shows about 10 boxes delivered... but customer service just say we will investigate and tumble weed... poor poor poor customer service. So obvious delivery driver dropped to wrong address.

Bad Shredder

I had to send back a shredder that went wrong after a few uses it would only go in reverse .they sent me a replacement but now it is doing exactly the same .I believe there is something wrong with the batch as the original one cost £86-94p I would like to warn people of this problem.It is theFellowes Power Shred .

GARBAGE CUSTOMER CARE & DELIVERY EXPERIENCE

Orders components that took 30 days more than usual to receive.

1) No one answers the helpline ever. Tried 20 days in a row.

2) No one responds to emails. Tried to cc everyone from their Customer Care team

3) Cannot reset the password or login to my account because of a bug on thier website.

Basically, I have no clue where my shipment is, my production is delayed, no one answers their helpline, neither do I have any tracking details or access to my own account!
