Such an amazing organisation made up of truly inspirational people. It may sound excessive but the company's 12 week startup programme has changed my life in so many positive ways. It is hard to put on paper how much of a difference the Escape the City guys make but the company connects you with the best startup tools, an amazing network of driven, motivated people and a job board full of less ordinary and more exciting jobs. I would recommend Escape the City to anyone and everyone. Thank you to the great team of people that work there. Its nice to know that there are genuinely great people in the world that are willing to help others and expect nothing in return.

Before the Escape Startup course I was unsure as to what was going to come next. I'd safely left behind one career, scratched the learning itch by studying for a second degree, but didn't know how to break into my new industry.

During the course at Escape I learned so much about myself, my future and how to shape it. The highlights? 1: Working out what values are important to me. 2: Being (persistently) curious and learning new skills. 3: Gaining the confidence to try them out and experiment. 4: Giving it away - my time, my talents, my ideas, my compliments - being generous. 5: Doing all of this with a group of wonderful, like minded people who in a short space of time went from being total strangers to trusted, supportive friends.

Now I’m about to start my dream job, which wouldn't have happened without Escape the City. If you know you want to do something different with your waking hours but don't know where to start or to turn, then DO THIS COURSE! I can't recommend it enough.

When I joined the Startup Tribe with Escape the City in September 2016 I was at a point in my life where I felt stuck. I had lots of ideas and knew that I wanted to start my own business one day, but didn't really know where to begin. Escape the city gave me the confidence and tools to make changes in my life that I never thought possible with the help of a wonderful and supportive community.

The most important things I learned from Escape the City were to know what is important to you and make sure whatever you're doing aligns with that, to break daunting tasks down into small steps (it's amazing what you can achieve!) and to surround yourself with people that can help you on your journey and who in turn you can help on theirs.

After Escape the City I took some time off work to travel to places I had always wanted to go and work on some ideas. I have now started a new job, which is much more aligned with my values and the lifestyle I want to lead while leaving time for me to work on my side hustles. Thanks to Escape the City I have gone from feeling stuck to knowing that I can achieve anything I set my mind to :)

Great course, learnt so much practical experience, met a lot of amazing people, and gave me the tools and confidence to launch my business with minimum risk. Absolute bargain.

With Dash Water we went to Escape with a vague concept; we left Escape with a brand ready to shake up our industry.

Escape teaches all the practical skills of creating, testing and fine tuning a business - all the important stuff which one never learns at University.

The Escape Startup course I did in 2015 was transformative. The content, teachers, community, and accountability was spot on. I couldn't have picked a better place to explore my entrepreneurial side.

The most important things I learned were: start today (projects can turn into businesses); ask yourself, is this idea important to me and do I want to serve those customers?; and hustle for the ingredients to make it happen - from favours, to advice, to space, to support!

Escape the City, and everything that's part of it, is now an important part of my life - I love heading back there to speak to new joiners. I would recommend it to anyone who has an inkling to start something - a project, business or experiment - and wants the motivation, catalyst or supportive community to bring it to life.

Escape the City is an amazing organization that has changed the course of my life. When I enrolled on the Startup Tribe in May 2016, I was just leaving a very dark time in my life. I knew I had to make changes, but didn't know what I wanted them to be, or how to figure that out. I had always wanted to start my own business, but thought it was beyond me: that it was something that other people did.
Through Escape the City I have met so many brilliant and inspiring people. Through the Startup Tribe, gained the skills, mindset and confidence to start my own business and am currently living out a dream I never thought I would fulfil.
I would recommend the tribe to anyone who has recently had the thought 'there has to be more to life than this', and who is brave enough to do something about it.
