Paid $7 for eSIM. Got Charged $22 After. Feels Like a Scam

I paid $7 for an eSIM thinking it was a one time purchase. After it expired, I was unexpectedly charged $22 for a monthly subscription that was never clearly explained or made obvious during checkout.

This kind of setup feels very misleading and honestly like a scam.

Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this service.

I have purchased two Egypt eSIMs for myself and my partner, and they have worked well so far. The purchase process is simple, they have several options, and they activate within a few seconds. You don’t need an app or anything to activate them

Paid for 2 eSIMs, Got No Service and an Unwanted Monthly Charge

I paid for 2 eSIMs for one week, but neither worked anywhere on Saint Martin, neither the Dutch side nor the French side. Instead of getting the service I paid for, I then discovered an automatic $22/month subscription had been added without my consent.

To stop another payment, I cancelled the subscription after 3 days, but that immediately cancelled the eSIM as well. So I ended up paying for something that never worked and then losing access entirely.

The website login process is also incredibly frustrating. The only way I could get into my account was by putting a new subscription in my basket first, which feels like a trapdoor hidden inside a vending machine.

I sent multiple emails and received no response. I also tried the chat several times, waited over an hour, and the only message I ever got was “Hey”.

Complete waste of time and money. I would not recommend this service.
