I ordered this piece that cost only €18…

I ordered this piece that cost only €18 on the French website (.fr) for delivery in France, when it arrived I had to pay €11 to the post lady as it had been sent from the UK and there was a customs tax to pay - what a con!!! Why even offer things on a french website if the customer is still going to pay an import duty as the part comes from the UK, or at least advise at point of purchase so the customer could then have a choice to purchase & take delivery in the UK.
Only time I’ve had this problem with Espares.fr

Thank you for your reply & offer to pay the customs duty. Unfortunately, I don't have a receipt as the post lady took it with her, because I queried it with her too, so I am unable to supply you a copy. Sorry. It was €11, if you want to credit my eSpares account, that might be a generous compromise?

object exactly as wanted but a bad surprise with an extra tax on delivery

object exactly as wanted. However a bad surprise with the delivery because we paid an extra 10 Euros for the tax. Apparently this item arrived from England but the website is French!!! So there was no indication of the extra charge for import tax. Bad surprise, otherwise the item was correct.

I thought by buying from espares.fr I…

I thought by buying from espares.fr I would avoid paying duty or taxes. Not so. Paid 16 euros in duty.

Ordered parts from french web but wasn't informed that this would be coming from the UK , which then incurred custom charges , not exceptable

Better informed where the parts are coming from to save on returns.
Better communication,,, left with tickets as reference and nothing, no telephone no,s or emails , no chances of on line chat either

I had to pay customs duty as the parts…

Bought item in Europeanen Schengen zone. Shipped outside Schengen zone so I had to pay more than 30€ extra. Cheaters

It took over three weeks to receive the…

It took over three weeks to receive the item. At one point I began to suspect that the organization was fraudulent. When I realized it needed to ship from the UK to France, I gave it some leeway. But I had other products (books) also shipped from the UK ordered afterwards that all arrived much faster. Otherwise, I have no complaints. The price for my mixer’s splash guard was reasonable and exactly what I needed.
