Estarland Bad Business .

So I was aware of them keeping 30percent of your quoted price,So I only sent in Brand New items that where in Perfect Condition an instead of me getting $125 they are sending me a check for $67. So at all cost Do Not Do Any Business with this crocked company There rating of 2.4 on here is way to high. I wish there was a 0 star . This is not my opinion this is a fact,A former employee told me on Reddit that this is the way they do All deals that are sent in. !!!

Great Experience ordering game for Nintendo Switch

I ordered a used Nintendo Switch game, Pokemon Let's Go Eevee, internationally from Canada. The game and packaging was in perfect condition. They could've sold it as new and I would've believed it. It was even professionally resealed with, AFAIK, genuine original cover and case. Best part is it was the best price I could find even after shipping costs (which were also very reasonable!) Very impressed, will shop here again!

Backorders

Backorders! They have three games available. I order it and 2 days later I get a email says two of the games are on backorder. If they were out of the games, I shouldn't be able to order them in the first place. This has happened more than once. I sick of dealing with them. They voided the games. This is what happens when you give a company a second or third chance.

Traded in some dreamcast games and…

Traded in some dreamcast games and console because I can't play it anymore. Claimed the console didn't work (It worked the night before) claimed there were games missing (Funny how they were in the box, when I shipped it)

I think they did not want to pay me the money for my entire trade in. And wanted to scam me instead.

Took awhile to get my money and the customer service was super slow in response.

Wouldn't recommend doing business with them.
Next time, I will trade my stuff in to the local game store.

Lost $80 in games

Lost $80 in games, including $20 in shipping. Didn't get my games I ordered. Not their problem, right? They just claim they never got it. Customer support okay at first, then slow and unresponsive. Never using that website again. Wanna trade in? Go to Gamestop.

This company is absolute trash

This company is absolute trash. I had a console to trade in and my trade in qualified for “EZ shipping” and despite eStarland saying they’ll email a shipping label within 2 business day, no contact was ever made. I sent an email saying that if I can’t get my shipping label, just cancel my order so they just cancelled it. Such low quality service!

Disappointment

Any company or business can have their share of complaints or bad reviews. That including Estarland themselves but I am writing this because staff doesn't care enough to handle massive issues or even simple customer service troubles,even to point of wanting to talk with upper management but being denied..let's begin with some common pros and cons before moving onto the complaint shall we?

Pros:
-Decent stock and inventory
-Decent trade values
Cons:
-Horrible customer service
-Not guaranteed game if still going through processment for longer than 10-15+ days especially if they make a huge mistake and sell off.
-Will nickel and dime faults at times with trade ins even if they are fully working and as most said,it is true they will either keep or discard your stuff in trash if do not mention to them specifically that want stuff back and cover for shipping unless use trade credit to do such.
-Will accuse of trying to resell when are not and never respond back to accusations

Complaint:
Had used trade credit as have done through many times to purchase a $400 game which was still being processed and was told it would need at least "$20" more until they could ship. 10-15 days later with nothing moving,contacted and was told they would ship within 24-48 hrs until they when received email saying they sold out and apologized for any inconvenience despite order saying processed and email stating they were sending. Curious to see what was going on,talked with one of the employees who stated "Oh no" and apologized as an employee "Sold off" game but as another. Did not offer much help other than there was nothing they could do except "$5",a "refund" & dibs whenever it would come back in trade to buy but I would have to pay for it. Fustrated and disappointed,had asked to speak with upper management only to be denied even talking. Let me ask you,does any legit business deny you the chance to talk with upper for simply wanting a better resolution? No and that's a poor excuse which leads me to believe they did not like the pricing and took it off despite giving the "Employee did not realize it was this edition" based excuse when covers are different ontop of cart itself. Since this is the only way to really outreach since emails get ignored ontop of feedback I hope many see this company cannot keep or hold their guarantee as are likely told by their owner and founder to do so in situations which is very disappointing.

Highly suggest if are looking for better deals or even simple trade ins to use gamestop or even ebay but with purchases to think twice because you may end up in a similar situation like myself who never thought a company or business such as EStarland would stoop that low

Shady Business Practices

Absolutely terrible website.

Very shady business practices. They lure you in with very cheap shipping, only to hold your order hostage and send you an email saying they need to charge you 4x the shipping amount due to an error on the website. Shipping costs more than the item itself after this "adjustment"

Pretty sure this is illegal in some places.

Shipping was listed at $8 USD on the website, I then received an email asking for $24 USD MORE in order for them to ship out my one poster ($32 USD shipping on top of a $24 USD poster) absolutely ridiculous.

eStarland is a Total Ripoff

Customer Service Agent was a bot named Sam & was very rude and obnoxious in a passive aggressive way. eStarland gave me high payout quotes for my video games then they lowballed me and made deductions for every little minor imperfection which had no effect on the actual games ability to be played. In fact I'm certain that their claims on the condition of my games were purposely falsified and downgraded so that they could intentionally pay me less than what they quoted. Finally after receiving my check from them I was unable to cash it after several attempts at banks, check cashing outlets & Walmart. I had to contact their CEO Chris Kong personally to void the check and pay me via PayPal. I was EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with the final outcome of my experience with eStarland and will NEVER do business with them EVER AGAIN!!!

Very disappointed with the customer…

Very disappointed with the customer service. I've used them for 10+ years, especially when I was still in the Army and stationed overseas. Long story short, just had an email conversation with an employee who was rather blunt and rude about a trade in issue. They expect us to be patient and loyal during this tumultuous time, which I was more than happy to be. However, after these 10+ years and many transactions with them, I have received no loyalty back. I am done, eStarland. This may not mean much to you but you have lost a long-time customer today.

If I can save 1 person from a situation…

If I can save 1 person from a situation like mine I'll be happy. I'm from Canada ordered a game from them and got my 51 dollars removed from my account. The next day they tried to say I only paid 30 and owed them an extra 19 dollars which I questioned on the online chat. O showed proof of bank statement. I finally asked for it to be cancelled and they guy refused to send me a confirmation email and said I can take his word for it. I put up a fight against the employee and after 20 mins they finally gave me my email....said it was a 24 hour wait to get it back and I'm waiting currently. Dont trust that I'm going to actually see my money again but he refused to give me any other means of contact if I dont get my money back. They tried to blame my bank and stated I'd have to take it up with them. They tried to RIP ME OFF only reason I got what I wanted was due to arguing with the guy... will keep you posted if I dont recieved my money back. Please dont ever send more to them. It's a 100% scam.

Ordered retro games from the UK

I used this site to order some retro games into the UK. I was a little unsure at first as I had never heard of them before, however I can confirm I received all the games ok and at a decent price too. If you want to obtain NTSC retro games that are harder to find in the UK, I recommend using them. I will order from them again.

Derping shipment prices again, doesn't want money from importers.

Estarland for a few months lowered the international postage to 6$ which was a starting set up, wasn't still enough (should have lowered to 4$ shipment as other US stores do) but it was starting to look nice.

HOWEVER for some dumb reason, they went back on it and their international postage prices are back in the 8-10$ interval (disc only games are 8$ while complete or boxed ones are 10$) which defeats the purpose to import games from estarland. 10$ is just too much, making it impossible to get good import deals. If other stores can do it, so can they.
