You can search high and low for a decent, honest mechanic, let alone a mechanic you can be bothered to review.
Ben has been a pleasure to deal with from initial enquiry through to finished job. He did a full service along with clutch and flywheel, all on my driveway in the blistering cold, whilst I did sweet FA except make sure he hasn't frozen to death at my behest.
He'll be my first and only choice from here on in because he genuinely is that good. If you need his services and you don't want to wait 3 months for a well polished garage to over charge you for work you don't want or need, pick up your phone and see if you don't agree with me

Brilliant hardworking

Ben suppled and fitted a new cam belt and water pump to my Vitara, a job quoted to take 9.5 hours by Suzuki, Ben had it completed in less than 3. Ben arrived on time and started immediately,
He’s methodical and fastidious in his work. I highly recommend Ben and will be using him for all my future car servicing .

Ben replaced my clutch outside the house in about 3 hrs great job done,turned up as arranged and fixed my car very polite and professional and very good price have recomended to my friends and will def use him if needed again would be more than 5* if possible

I don't write reviews as a rule unless to warn other about a bad experience, but Ben was amazing-turned up when he said he would and got cracking straight away on a clutch and flywheel change, which I was at my wits end with and he completed it in rapid time. He made sure everything was ok before leaving. Won't be using anyone else in future!

My car was in limp mode due to a blocked DPF. My local garage quoted £1100 for a replacement. I’d read online about DPF cleaning but was sceptical as my local garage told me it wouldn’t work. I contacted Ben from Etherington’s Autos for a chat and a quote and even though he was fully booked he managed to fit me in between pre booked jobs. He arrived on time and was done within the hour. I cannot thank Ben enough. He has just saved me over £1000 and really made my day. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone looking for a Honest mechanic who wont charge you the earth. He will be the first person I call if I’m having car trouble. Thanks again Ben.

Recently, my Vauxhall Corsa needed a timing chain replacement. I was worried about the duration of the process. To my surprise, the repair was completed much faster than I anticipated. Excellent service, highly recommended!

Completed a full service on my VW T5 at a good cost. Very happy with the result as etherington's autos flagged up a few minor issues which were directly shown to me, so I'll need to address these in the near future. Ben carried out a chemical clean on the diesel particulate filter (DPF) on my 2017 Dacia Sandero Stepway. The car returned to limp mode following the clean, so Ben investigated and found a split pipe going to the pressure sensor at the rear of the engine. Ben quickly put a new pipe on and accompanied me during a road test with his diagnistic gadget plugged in. Everything now works perfectly, and I am very happy with the service and the price, especially when compared to the quote from a main dealer which was high just to investigate the issue. I will be using Ben again.

I had my car serviced with Etheringtons Autos and they were amazing. A very reasonable fixed price, great availability and a fantastic job. Ben even went the extra mile to inform me of anything which may need works on within the next 6 months with no pushy sales.

Ben was very knowledgeable and fixed my car cheaper than I thought it would be. Definitely use again next time I have an issue.

I had Ben come take a look at my Peugeot 107 which was very noisy and not happy.
He quickly diagnosed that the clutch had failed and thrust bearing was at fault.
With in 4 hours my little car was back on its wheels and zipping me and the little one around again. I would highly recommend Etherington’s Autos! Thanks again you'll be the first choice for the next repair 👍
