Investors beware

Investors beware. ET Money is starting to feel like a big scam. It's shocking to see that my stock portfolio on ET Money has an XIRR of negative 21% after a period of 2.5 years, while the sensex has outperformed over the last 3 years with over 41% increase in value.

ET Money: The Worst Investment App – A Complete Nightmare!

ET Money is by far the worst investment app I have ever come across. I initially trusted the platform and invested over ₹1 lakh across 8 SIPs, planning for long-term investments. However, for the last four months, every single SIP has failed, despite having more than sufficient funds in my bank account.
During the bull market, the app was quick to accept my investments. But now, in a bear phase—when investing makes the most sense—all my SIPs are getting rejected. I contacted their customer support multiple times, but instead of resolving the issue, they kept shifting blame—first to the UPI app, then to my bank. However, both my bank and UPI app confirmed that they never received any charge requests from ET Money during this period. This clearly shows that the issue is entirely on ET Money's end, especially since my other SIPs are working perfectly fine with other investment apps. To make matters worse, their customer support has now completely stopped responding to my emails.
Adding to the frustration, there is no proper desktop site for making investments. If you visit their website, they force you to download the mobile app to access your account. When I installed the app and tried investing manually via lump sum, there was no option to do so! In fact, I couldn’t even access detailed information about my investments. Every feature is locked behind a paywall, constantly pushing their premium subscription. Without it, the app is practically useless—you can’t even access your own investments!
I strongly advise against using ET Money if you value your hard-earned money and mental peace. The app might look sleek, but it’s completely worthless unless you pay for their premium plan. Now, I’m stuck—I can't invest, I can't track my funds properly, and withdrawing would mean exit load charges, tax implications, and potential losses due to the current market downturn.
ET Money’s customer support is a joke, and the app is nothing but a trap to force users into their paid plans. Avoid this app at all costs! 🚨
