I purchased an item from a seller on Etsy. Unfortunately it is faulty and so I attempted to contact the seller through Etsy. I received a message saying that this seller no longer trades through Etsy but they would be happy to help with any problems. Unfortunately it is impossible to contact customer services so I contacted their CEO direct. Sadly he clearly doesn't care about his customers (or reputation) because I have not received an acknowledgement to the two emails that I sent. Suggest you do not buy from this disreputable company.

Everything is lie taken money missing delivery no refunds, customer service is very bad disappointing. Don't waste time and money .

I have purchased several items from Etsy over the years and have always been delighted with the quality of the product delivered. Etsy kept me updated and let me know estimated deliver time before purchase. This time i bought Studded Elephant Footstool and LOVE it! It is so practical and utterly cute!

Since 2017, I have run a small Etsy shop from Jordan, completing over 5,900 orders and fully complying with Etsy’s rules.
I was notified that (my Etsy shop will be forcibly closed on 5 August 2025 ), due to Etsy’s decision to remove PayPal as a payment option and the absence of Etsy Payments in Jordan - leaving me no means to receive payments.

I proposed multiple reasonable and lawful solutions to Etsy, including :
* Using my verified Payoneer account, which works legally and officially in Jordan.(which is permitted for sellers in other countries).
* Transferring my shop location or shop management to a US based trusted individual.
* Establishing a US based company to legally shift my store operations.
Unfortunately, Etsy rejected every solution without offering any alternative. They did not give me a path forward, nor did they demonstrate any consideration for loyal sellers who helped build their platform,
They refused to allow PayPal to continue until a proper solution could be found.
Etsy allow sellers from many countries around the world to receive payments from Payoneer, Although I have a verified Payoneer account, but they do not want to add the Payoneer service to me.
It is deeply unjust for Etsy to succeed with our efforts for years, and now abandon us without support. They are turning their back on sellers who helped build this platform, not because we did anything wrong, but simply because of where we live.
We sellers are families, workers, human beings, not numbers. And I believe this injustice should be addressed at the highest level.

I hope that in the future, the competent legal authority will hold them accountable and stop them from this injustice to simple sellers.

Ex Etsy seller here. Only 26% of sellers on Etsy succeed. Most earn less than £1000 per year. I thought I would be different. I wasn’t. Etsy unapologetically works for Etsy. Too many terrible experiences costing me too much. Etsy’s policies state that they will always side with a buyer over a seller. Therefore, what is the point of selling there? Sellers are sitting ducks for unscrupulous buyers. Goodbye scammers, and good riddance to Etsy.

I am complaining at the outset of a dispute...at the first stages of how this is handled. I have a problem with three ghastly garments which have arrived bearing little or no resemblance to their pictures.
I have begun (with a weary heart with the worst one) But at inmception it is impossible to tell which is the wrong garment for which 2 of them being literally unrecognisable. No paperwork came with either. I have made an educated guess and begun a dispute. I needed guidance in this but there is no customer service anywhere - you are just thrown to the wolves and I suspect at the mercy of cheap scammers from faraway places. One of them being Canada
10 years ago it was so much gentler - a bit inaccurate but you were mostly doing business with genuine artisans. Now it seems a competition to get as much money for as little as possible with clever photogaphy. And so I have opened my dispute ...and how I missed that they had charged me £11 postage and £10 VAT I don't know. I check for these things ! It must have said it somewhere I guess but tragically I missed it. I think they should be moderated by some authority they have gone beyond a joke and there is absolutely no way to contact them verbally. In fairness if I can get these three horrible garments sorted out then I will come back and edit my review accordingly. As it stands I will never ever shop from there again.

I have been a seller with etsy since 2018. As a seller I feel entirely unsupported by etsy, if a customer opens a case due to an item arriving broken or not arriving they give the seller no opportunity to respond to the case amd instead will immediately refund the customer not allowing the seller opportunity to provide evidence to support the case. Most cases get opened and closed inside a 1 minute time frame giving sellers no opportunity to respond meaning often buyers get items for free at the expense of the seller. Its a messed up system and at this point I'm considering that I should close my shop permanently and find a fairer platform in which to sell from.

Ordered some jewellery that originated from Greece - were very happy until we hit with a Duty demand. It may be in the small print but there should be warnings. We have bought a lot through this website - never again. We will ensure the loss to Etsy will be more than the duty!

Complete cons. Do not buy from this site. My item never arrived and there is nowhere for you to contact them for help,happy to take your money tho! Will no longer buy from etsy .

Absolutely disgusted with the service received from Etsy, i ordered an item for £90 it was delivered to completely the wrong address and now i can't contact the seller or start a case against them because Etsy have closed down the sellers shop. It is completely impossible to speak to someone at Etsy, i have spent hours going round in circles. I have used Etsy regularly as i like to support small businesses but that's me done, I'll stick to Amazon from now on.

I have been using Etsy for years because I like to support small businesses. At first Etsy were great and I had no issues with them so I continued to use them. Recently I placed an order with a seller called Leroucel and placed an order with them on 1st August and paid with my hard earned money. The Company is supposed to be in Paris but two weeks later and my purchase isn’t even on its way! There’s absolutely no response from the seller to the many messages I have sent despite Etsy saying they respond within 24 hours! You cannot contact Etsy at all and you only can raise an issue about the order on 7th September some 6 weeks after the order has been paid for. Disgraceful customer service by both the seller and Etsy. I will never use Etsy again which is a shame because there are some genuine small businesses who provide an excellent service. You have lost sight Etsy of the reason you set up in the first place.

I use Etsy UK on a regular basis, mainly for 3d printed miniatures but not only.
Iv had a great experience from all aspects of Etsy, from sellers to customer service.

I signed up with Etsy before buying anything as they guarantee orders which instantly put my mind at rest.
I use the rating guide given to sellers aswell as reviews but also give new sellers a chance and on the rare chance the order goes missing in the post or some other misshap then usually the seller will replace free of charge. On the very rare occasion that a seller dosnt answer Etsy steps in issues a refund. This happened to me once but shortly after the refund was issued I received an email from the seller telling explaining the situation and still sending the order free of charge.

Etsys algorithms are also very well designed and helpful for finding and recommending items,sellers I'm looking for or to add to lists iv already made which makes shopping extremely easy and quick.

My advice to people new to Etsy is to sign up, take your time looking at different sellers, read reviews and put your favourite items and shops in lists. This allows you to make the decision you need for cost, time , quality ect to suit your needs.

Fantastic site

Goods arrived ok not what I wanted - tried to contact seller but I must register with Etsy first. Whatever I do and I am an experienced user I cannot get past the Captcha verification to create an account. repeated trying I clear all the say traffic lights and I go round in loops. No email address for seller so I cannot contact them to let them know my order is wrong. No way to contact Etsy either without registering. How useless is that.

My resent shop with Esty had been a wonderful search for my quest. Sorting through abundance of knitting wool. Oh so many different colours for choice.
But I made my selection.
Very fast completion with payment, also a very fast delivery in a few days.

I have already written a review but note it says no reviews received yet. I expect the bad ones are removed. I would advise crafts people not to touch this site. It is made up to a large extent of in bought items. And the smaller hand made crafts people are neglected. Plus the customer service is awful.
