I am a very optimistic guy

I am a very optimistic guy, and this experience has left me in awe of such a display of medevil clownship at the level you would find in bedtime stories. We were mocked and rediculed after recieving only sighs of discomfort for the mere question if we could rent a car. He would only for double the price we could see online. I think this is a perfect place to AVOID if visiting Ablania try any car rental close near the airport and negotiate a good price is my advice.

SCAMMER

SCAMMER. We had a very unpleasant experience with this rental company. They tried to charge us a fine without explaining why (parking ticket? traffic violation?) and could not provide any clear evidence. The incident was supposed to have happened in Kakome (Vlore), but we never went there. The staff member was extremely unfriendly and pushy. First, he demanded 1,000 Lek in cash. When I asked for proof, he became even more insistent, and in the end he claimed he would keep 25 euros (2,500 Lek) from our deposit instead. He clearly tries to scam his customers. Do not book here.

The man at the desk was extremely unfriendly, pushy, and even threatening – clearly a very frustrated person who hates his job. Fortunately, this seemed to be an exception, as most people we met in Albania were very friendly and welcoming.

The car itself was fine mechanically, but it had many dents and scratches all over.

Totally conned by this company was led…

Totally conned by this company was led to believe by the Eurocar Marseille airport that I was taking out an insurance that would cover me if I returned the car un-fuelled or late but if it was returned fully fuelled and on time I would get that deposit back. So I signed the paperwork trusting them. So the £370.24 sat in my account pending and today 8 days after my return they have taken the money. The reason I believed them is because it sat pending the whole rental time which made me understand that when I returned the car this pending amount will not be taken as I returned it fuelled and on time.
Customer services in the U.K. are so unhelpful and basically said tough you signed the agreement, Yes I did in good faith of what I was being told was the truth.
This is disgusting behaviour from such a world wide company but I’m just the standard person trying to provide for my family but they don’t care. You should be so ashamed of your service.

I hired a car from these people, this happened

I hired a car from these people, they took my money, then they refused me the car because of a credit check then refused to give me my money back. They didn't inform me until the day before ruining my daughters birthday plans.
NEVER HIRE A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!

Worst rental experience I've ever had

Worst rental experience I've ever had. The car broke down after just 30 minutes, and I received no replacement, no official communication, and no documentation. Europcar withdrew money from my account without any authorization or explanation. I was even contacted via WhatsApp and asked to “respond for damages” in an unofficial location. Despite multiple formal complaints, I received only vague replies and no resolution. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional

Cheap and cheerful from downtown Tirana

We rented from Downtown Tirana and made the booking through Discover Cars. The staff in the office were lovely and communications were excellent.
The car itself was cheap, you get what you pay for. It served it's purpose for our road trip without breaking down.

We can’t help

I went to the desk at Dublin Airport and was instructed to get the bus to the depot. On arriving I was then told I should have picked the car up at the airport ☹️. So after some conversation I was giver another car . Had some minor intermittent electrical problems but nothing terminal. I then took the car back to the airport as instructed by the Google map link they sent to be told I should have left it at the depot when I explained he said they’d probably drop the charges. They didn’t 😡. In the mean time and all the confusion when I got airside I remembered I’d left my wallet in the car i immediately phoned and was told they’d look and phone me back guess what they didn’t . I later found they’d waited to the next day . In the mean time I organised for my friends to pick it up but they didn’t have Time to go to the depot but they wouldn’t take it to the airport 😡

Where do I start

Where do I start? Long story short, @1 Nov through 1 Dec 2023. Flew into Schiphol in the Netherlands and rented a car. I get back and I have received 14 speeding tickets for the amount over 2000.00 USD !
Eurocar website is worthless ! you cant call them (wrong number) and email is either returned or not even legit). My fines will not only double soon but they will not contact me except to send me tickets with no further instructions except don't pay until you receive the actual ticket in the mail !! so here I sit watching the calendar and this company will not reach out to me. Worthless to say the least AND they do mention they will charge me at least 20.00 USD per ticket for "admin fees" the Netherlands will also charge me 10.00 USD for each ticker for "admin fees" I can understand the Netherland fees but Eurocar? what a scam ! I am trying to take care of this but no one is reaching out because they don't allow you to contact them with bogus numbers and email addresses that don't work . I would appreciate ANY help on this matter.
P.S I was never stopped once it was all "cameras"

Horrible experience,

Horrible experience,

We had a horrible experience with Eurocar Albania. If you have any other choice, and there's plenty at Tirana international, PICK ANOTHER ONE!!!!!

With us it all started with a flat battery halfway our trip. The first reaction of Eurocar was not to fix it but make it harder on us. Try it again tomorrow, it will most probably start...... Obviously it did not. Recharge it fully and try it again the day after... same deal, nope.

The solution of Eurocar, in the name of Dennis, was to fix it ourselves, pay for it and see what happens. That finally took us three days and at least 15 jumpstarts. Our guest house owner drove it into Kosovo (I had to stay at the border), payed for the battery and really helped us. Meanwhile Europcar did...... nothing except saying sorry there is nothing we can do.

Then getting back the money spend on the battery. Same deal, I will spare you the details but that took a week and multiple set up meeting point with failed transferes. Finally we got our money back from a complete stranger somwhere on a beach in the south of Albania. Obviously afterwards they charged us for the days that the car did not work "because it is better that way"

So: DO NOT RENT A CAR AT EUROCAR
