Not in English and not a small tour group
I paid for a “small group (30 or less) English tour” of Sweden, Finland, The Baltics, Poland and Germany.
For this part of the tour, my tour group was three buses, with 140+ mostly Spanish speaking people. Less than half of my bus were English speaking people.
Stopping into a location for a break that had one operating toilet was an actual shit show. How anyone thought 140+ people would be able to use a single bathroom during a 20 minute break defies all logic.
On day seven, two bus loads of travellers finished their tour, I was put with a new group of 25(?) travellers from Mexico, Columbia and Uraguay. I was the only English speaking person in the group.
There were two tour guides on the bus, one spoke exclusively in Spanish and the other one translated to English for me. It was ridiculous. I missed things that the guide was pointing out to the rest of the group in real time. The translation I got was a shortened version of what was being said and from that point forward I relied on Google lens and Google translate in order to understand what I was clearly missing out on. Group meals included on the tour were awkward, and attempting to get to know other travellers was futile.
The coach had no wifi, passengers were not allowed to use the toilet and annoyingly, the driver did not tilt the bus when passengers were alighting or boarding making it difficult for people with mobility issues.
The tour and the experiences were excellent and had I received what I paid for which was an English tour, I would have given this five stars but the fact that I missed so much and that I had to gather information from Google myself as I was on the tour is just not acceptable.
All the tour guides were fantastic and I really feel they were let down by their employer who, as I can see now from other reviews of Europemundo, just don’t care about their customers.
Horrible tour
I'm so disgusted with this tour. I'm on the tour NOW and it's been a nightmare. I'd recommend anyone considering this tour look elsewhere. This is a big bus tour, where you'll hear very limited content in three languages, sometimes by someone not even a native speaker of any of the three. Water served with dinner, poor service, being left. For "free time," in cities you don't know, with only enough time to get a quick meal, then back in the bus. If you are elderly or a vegetarian, forget the provided "meals." The guides try, and they are very nice, but spending all day on buses with only stops to get off for a cup of coffee and a selfie, eating at 930pm, arriving to major sites after hours or even in the dark, no wine only water at meals, this isn't travel, this is just a herding people. Please do yourself a favor and book something else. It's heartbreaking to lose time and money this way. I'll never return to Spain because of this horrible experience.
Avoid Europamundo in Turkey atleaat
Our experience with Europamundo in Turkey was disappointing and below expectations. From the beginning, the planning and communication were poorly managed. The English-speaking guide, though perhaps not fluent, was also ineffective in his role as a guide—consistently late and providing very limited or unhelpful information about the places we visited.
In contrast, the Spanish-speaking guide on the same bus gave detailed, engaging explanations lasting around half an hour, while the English version was condensed to only a few minutes. This created a clear imbalance in the experience.
The choice of hotels was substandard and did not reflect the quality one would expect from an international tour operator.
On the final day, during the long journey from Kusadasi to Istanbul—nearly 590 kilometers—we were asked to travel in an old, poorly maintained bus typically used for local transport, which added to the overall discomfort.Overall, the trip was deeply unsatisfactory.
Europamundo appears to lack the required experience and attention to detail needed for quality travel experiences, at least in Turkey.
Based on this experience, I would be hesitant to choose Europamundo again, in Turkey or elsewhere.
That said, Turkey itself is a beautiful country and may best be experienced either independently or through another agency that offers better service and professionalism.
Very bad experience
⸻
A very disappointing experience with this European tour.
We joined this European tour and, unfortunately, the service was far below what was promised. The hotels were extremely low quality: missing basic items like hand soap in Paris, no fridge or safe in Lyon, and in Madrid the “double bed” was actually two single beds pushed together.
There were also serious issues with organisation. Nobody came for airport or train station pickup, and this happened more than once. We had to walk several streets with our luggage because no one showed up. There was no direct phone number to contact anyone, and when we tried calling the office, no one spoke English.
The tour leaders were hard to reach, and the information we received was often incorrect. For example, the written schedule said pickup at 8:00, but they actually left at 7:30. When we asked why, they simply said we should “coordinate,” even though there was no proper system to coordinate anything. Breakfast was also downgraded and separated from other hotel guests.
Overall, this tour was poorly organised, low quality, and far below expectations. I hope the company seriously reviews these issues for future travellers.
Scandinavian Trip Sept 21 - 28, 2025
Just went back from Scandic trip - not so good experience with EUROPA MUNDO. Avoid this travel agency at all cost, stay away. Don't ever try. Had the worst customer service, with tour managers that are unapologetic for placing too many passengers in a bus with not enough space to put luggage and had to put them on the aisle and we could not get off the bus without shuffling them around so we have space to move. Shame. No regard for customer's safety - we were given information that our check in luggage should stay in the bus while boarding the ferry from Stockholm to Turko, Finland. We ended up dragging our heavy luggage to the ferry with very tight spaces to move around- elevators were full. We ended up using the escalator which was unsafe for moving our stuff. Not enough and clear information provided by the tour manager representing Europa Mundo that we had to get off in Turko at 7:30 in the morning to board the bus. We were rushed to leave the ferry and catch the crowded bus.
The Vatican: closer to hell than to heaven
Our experience with Europamundo on the Vatican tour was very disappointing. From the start there was disorganization with schedules, delays in departure, and only a few minutes at the Colosseum—spending more time waiting for a bus than actually visiting the site.
At the Vatican Museums tickets were not ready, we were given paper slips without QR codes that didn’t work, and we were almost denied entry. The visit was rushed, with superficial explanations in the rain, museums at full speed, and just a few minutes inside the Sistine Chapel.
The most serious issue was that the guide discouraged us from visiting St. Peter’s Basilica, saying that due to the Jubilee only a small section was open and there was a 4-hour line. This was false: we stayed on our own, entered in 30 minutes, and everything was open, including masses and confessionals.
In conclusion, what should have been central became accessory, and what was accessory became the focus. The experience did not meet expectations nor what one would expect from a tour at this level.
Horrible
🚩 Major Issues Encountered
1. Lack of Guide Support
Our guide was notably unhelpful. Every time we asked questions, he would dismissively say he would explain later, which rarely happened. More concerning, he did not accompany us during free time, leaving an elderly couple dependent on my mother and me for assistance. Furthermore, due to the guide’s strong accent, the couple could not understand him, and I had to act as a translator throughout the tour.
2. Misleading Itinerary in Vienna
The itinerary stated that the first day would include a panoramic city tour of Vienna, showcasing “majestic avenues, beautiful palaces, large parks, and the vibrant city center,” followed by a visit to the Grinzing district. In reality, we only drove past parts of the city and stopped at one palace, without entering the city center. We were dropped off near the opera house and instructed to make our own way back to the hotel. Additionally, we stopped at a summer garden but were only given one hour, which included the time it took to walk to and from the bus—a considerable distance. As a result, we had no real time to see or appreciate the gardens.
3. Substandard Accommodation
The accommodation in Vienna was not a hotel but rather the Citadines apartment building, located far from the center and not up to the 4-star standard advertised. In Prague, the hotel was again far from the center (30 minutes by car), and my mother, who is 70 years old, is unable to shower due to the high side of the bathtub. As this situation is unacceptable, we have booked alternate accommodation in the city center and will not continue with the rest of the tour.
4. Poorly Organized Optional Activities
The optional classical music concert caused unnecessary confusion. The guide himself said he didn’t know why it was offered due to the conflicting Grinzing trip. Although the elderly couple had already booked the concert, they were told they couldn’t attend. Eventually, the guide booked it for us—but without transportation. We had to pay for our own taxis (around €20 each way). Attending the concert also meant we missed the Grinzing visit, which had been included in the tour package.
5. Communication Failures
The first afternoon in Vienna was wasted. We waited for the itinerary all afternoon, as instructed. Despite asking several times at reception—who even contacted your offices—we were told the guide would arrive by 8 PM to deliver it. This did not happen, and the elderly couple also waited in vain.
6. Unprofessional Response to Refund Request
After experiencing these issues, we requested a partial refund for the services that were not delivered as promised and compensation for the additional costs incurred (taxis, missed experiences, alternative hotel). The response we received was dismissive and unhelpful, further adding to our frustration.
🗣 Similar Complaints from Fellow Travelers

— r/travel forum post highlighting widespread dissatisfaction with service and organisation

On Trustpilot, the company scores 2.7/5, with 57% of reviews at 1 star—many citing disorganization, poor guide performance, and a ‘herd’ style tourism experience.
⚠️ Tips for Prospective Travelers
Expect rushed itineraries, minimal free time, and guest-led exploration.
Most guides speak Spanish or Portuguese; English may be secondary or unclear.
Hotels are often located well outside city centers, impacting convenience.
Elderly or less mobile travelers should carefully consider accessibility needs.
✅ Final Verdict
This tour was disorganized and exhausting. It failed on core promises around guide support, itinerary accuracy, and quality of stay. The unprofessional response to our refund request further underscores the company's disregard for customer satisfaction. If you value reliable communication, support for elderly travelers, and flexibility, I would not recommend Europamundo.
We recently returned from a tour of…
We recently returned from a tour of Classic China with Europamundo. There were so many things that went wrong that I won’t be able to finish on here. They were extremely disorganized, the majority of the tour guides were rude the others had zero control over the group. I’m not talking about the obvious things that can go wrong, I’m talking about guides telling you not to ask anymore questions, basically shut up. We were scammed out of $100 each for an optional “tour” in Shanghai. It was supposed to be a small group, 3 bus loads of people is not small. Imagine trying to wait on 3 bus loads. On more than one occasion we would travel from city to city alone without a guide & when we arrived at our destination the receiving guide had no idea how many travelers, etc… they took us to restaurants that I wouldn’t even stop in if it was an emergency. Rat infested humid & damp restaurants. It was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. We finally decided to leave the tour group & finish the last 3 days on our own. Multiple travelers felt the same way. The only saving grace was that China is a beautiful country & please go if you can. Just avoid Europamundo, they will ruin it completely for you.
Extremely disappointing experience.
Extremely disappointing experience.
No effort to help or respond meaningfully. Completely unprofessional and dismissive. Avoid at all costs.
SHOCKING TOUR
Just got back on 14 days tour of parts of europe. Shocking tour, left in rain & cold for spprox 3hrs a day, dumped like herd of cattle in places not interesting everyday. Get into hotels late like 6.30-7.30pm after getting up to leave at 7.30am every morning. No time given to relax, do your own thing. Most of bus got sick with flue, no consideration given, everyone was fed up & you were made to walk like 7klms + a day on boring things. It was a waste of money
Dont do it worse tour
company ever.

Took a 7 day turkey trip with Europamundo. Our guide was Savas and the captain was Serkan. The trip was very well organised and our guide was very indulgent and knowledgeable. It was an excellent experience with the two of them and our tour group. The driver and guide were both fabulous!

Not recommended. Poorly organised. Did not deliver what was falsely advertised on the itinerary. Washington to New York. Overall the worst tour I’ve been on in 25 years travelling the world.
Don’t ever go with this tour company
Don’t ever go with this tour company. It was awful. A tour bus filled up to 60 people. A tour guide named Diego Bueno who would become upset if you asked questions or made him repeat himself. Two Argentinian woman harassing and bullying my mom to get out of the bus seat because they claimed it their own. We told Diego and he didn’t do a thing yet he went out for drinks with them, befriending them like they are best buddies. Constant antagonism from those two woman and the other young adults who treated us with distant contempt. My mother and I didn’t learn a thing on this tour. The only thing we learned is how hard it was to survive two weeks in a bus full of people who mean bugged us all the time, always on a rush, couldn’t drink water because we barely ever stopped to use the restroom to the point that I got dehydrated. A tour guide who had favorites and allowed threats to be made against my 60 year old mother. On our first three days in France, my mother and I spent it all alone. The tour guide and the company never called us or left us a note on where we were going to be picked up for our excursions. The tour guide Diego met up with us on the fourth day said he called us and looked for us but that was a complete lie. He changed our itinerary and we ended up missing two excursions because the group he has already established had already gone to those excursions. They shoved my mother and I in a group that’s already been to places we haven’t so we had to miss out on what we planned to see. Now ask me if I want to do business with these people again.
Brilliant and a dream.
absolutely excellent tour, got everything i paid for and was treated with the upmost respect. our guide was incredible and really knows his stuff.
our trip in athens was perfect and i would do it again!
8D7N spain tour
Signed up a 8D7N tour with them for Spain. Arrived in Madrid at 1am. Had some problems with the hotel check in. Called the emergency number and someone answered the call quite quickly. Issue was resolved.
The tour started. Instructions were clear. We had a change of guide in between. Most of the guides were good except for one who seemed to be more impatient.
Overall I think service is gd and will book with them again if possible
Did the Spain tour Barcelona to Madrid
Did the Spain tour Barcelona to Madrid, stopping in Portugal. This was in July this year and it was supposed to be an English speaking tour. Well 80% of it was in Spanish was not happy and on the third day they changed our bus which should have been off the road, windscreen had large cracks which we were sitting right behind . We were scared that if we went over a ditch it would shatter on top of us. Some of the seats’s backs kept falling back, even the arm rest kept falling down, aircon was very noisy and there was a foul smell, light fittings dangling down and air vents broken, these are just to name a few. Informed our tour guide, but nothing happened. I emailed our travel agent who was appalled by the condition on the bus as I have photos. They lodged a complaint on our behalf and another couple, which Europamundo are denying even so we have photos. This company is a joke
Do not book!
Do not book!! They changed our itinerary at the last minute. And left us with a “ free day” ( which we payed for ?) 30 minutes from anything to do! Had to pay to get into town…. Do not trust them!!! When I called to figure out our schedule change the “customer service rep” was of no help actually the opposite. she gave me false information and I had to ask Larana to double check?! They act like the want to help and say they’ll call you back but never do! Please do not book!!! Very sad because there guides have been great. I wish them the best!
Anyone but this awful company
I would strongly advise you not to use Europamundo under any circumstances. If you look carefully at prior reviews, there's a theme -- The tours seem to go fine, unless something goes wrong. If so, the company is difficult to impossible to work with. Our experience was a genuine nightmare.
We got to the airport and were turned away at the gate because of a passport problem that our travel agent never checked. This began an entire summer of stress and frustration. All we wanted was to rebook at the end of the summer after we got a new passport for my daughter. But, you're not allowed to deal directly with the company. We asked the travel agent every few days for updates, but literally WEEKS would go by without Europamundo response. First, Europamundo told us through their agent no problem, they'd just rebook us. Weeks later we were told they backtracked, there'd be a 25% rebooking fee. Unfortunate, but we agreed. Weeks later then they'd only rebook us for a specific date and if we didn't commit that day to it they'd refuse to refund any money. We felt strong-armed (we didn't have the new passport back for our daughter yet), but agreed. Then, they just said they were keeping all our money. When we complained and pointed out that we did EVERYTHING in the terms of service to notify them 24 hours before the tour started, they played games with the language and told us no refund whatsoever. It finally worked out that they kept (i.e., "stole") about half, around $4000.
Losing the money is bad. But worse, they destroyed our summer in unnecessary stress, anxiety, and anguish. After all this finally ended, I managed to get a Europamundo email address to complain directly. Unsurprisingly, that email was entirely ignored. It's only now -- after having a "do-over" Europe vacation this summer with another company that went smoothly and fantastically -- I realize how important it is to warn everyone to avoid this tour company. The downside is simply not worth the risk. Use ANY other company but Europamundo for your trip. They are truly awful.
It’s a company that you would regret…
It’s a company that you would regret paying whatever you did . If you expect someone is going to welcome you with open arms and smilingly tell you your schedules for the day then forget it . The communication is extremely poor . We did their swiss and Italy spotlight trip. From day 1 we were struggling . There was no one to tell us what to do on your first free day or to greet you . The hotel staff was clueless . Hotel selections were cheap hotels far away from centre where even to buy a meal you have to travel and spend a lot of money. Eating at hotel was expensive and you are expected to pay for water , tea bags etc . The guides at Europamundo are like military professionals. You will feel sometimes you are on an army training campus where they shout and scream at you for being even a minute late , expect you to be up really early and there is no respect for the elderly . If you request you need to stop somewhere for a toilet they will rudely turn you away at times . The vacation was so de densely packed that it did not feel like a holiday at all and we as a family feel we need another holiday to get over this one . Overall I would rate them 0/5 for bad hospitality, poor communication, zero compassion and indifferent attitude towards elderly . You are better off paying twice somewhere else and having a better holiday . This company is a nightmare To travel with
