AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Ordered and paid for two installations, given two dates for installation on both dates no one turned up and no one contacted me.

I have asked for my money back and they have now blocked my telephone number and do not respond to my emails.

Have now started court proceedings.1614

We waited 3 months for our installation and we got different charger than we ordered. After chasing them for long time they emailed us the installation date that was not convenient for us and they said that it cannot be changed if we don’t want to lose Government grant. I booked a holiday in order to be at home, but they turned up a day before without any notice. Electrician left all the rubbish on our neighbours’ driveway.

Good thing is that the installation is nice and we don’t have any problems with it.

Installation of my EV home charger was very professional. The installer was very neat with his work and completed quickly.

Prefect Solution for my Hybrid car.
Like many people spent time reviewing the many different options for homechargers. Lots of reviews said the product was good but the sales experience left alot to be desired. Not with Evchargers. From my initial inquiry through to install the service has been excellent. Every email was followed up by a phone call to keep me updated and answer any questions as well as confirming the installtion date. Opted for a Podpoint tethered charger. Quote came back at half of what a local supplier quoted!!
Some people say you get what you pay for but not here.
On the day of install I received a call to say the installer would be with me at midday, and he was there 5 mins early! As the power had to go off made a quick coffee and left him to it. In less than 2 hours after his arrival the charge point was fitted, tested and the area tidied.

Not that I would need a second charge point but if I did, or needed to change mine I would definitely use Evchargers.

Excellent service throughout, from contact with Head Office staff in Hull to installation engineer. Fitting carried out quickly and without fuss by very polite and helpful installer, who answered all technical questions fully. Would recommend to others looking for pain-free EV charger installation.

My experience has been very positive. The team were helpful from the outset - times were agreed and stuck to perfectly - the paperwork was easy and quick - and the people throughout have been friendly and polite. Still need to spend some time getting to grips with the charging app, but no doubt that will come. I recommend them.

This is unacceptable.
To say your engineer was unable to contact me is untrue. I spoke to your engineer twice whilst he was at my property, at 12.33 and at 13.38. He did not mention any issue either to myself or the person who was here.
The service I have received from your company has been poor and I am extremely disappointed. I paid for my charger in full on 22/03/21. I was told the estimated date for fitting would be mid-April.
On 17th April, I emailed to ask when it would be fitted and it took 2 days to respond. The email stated it would be w/c 3/5/21. I heard nothing until I phoned on 30th April to be told it would be Monday 10th. When I said I could not be here as I have to work, there was no flexibility in the date, despite my having originally booked over a month before.
No idea of time to expect the engineer was given. It was an "all day slot". I have had to pay a local tradesman £60 to be at my house for the visit because you were inflexible.
Now I receive this invoice from you telling me retrospectively that there was a problem I was not informed about, stating that your engineer was unable to contact me which is blatantly untrue and charging me extra money for work that I did not agree to.
I could not be more disappointed.

Good afternoon Julia,
On the day of your installation, our engineer was unable to use the spare circuit on your fuse board due to the amount of cables connected to the board and being unable to drill a hole to the exterior wall. Therefore the engineer installed a small fuse board inside of your electric meter cupboard. He explained this to the person onsite as he was unable to contact yourself at the time.

Bought and paid to get our charging point installed over a month ago and still not heard back. The company no longer appears to be responding to emails.

If you are reading this EV Charger, we would appreciate an installation or our money back. We ended up going with Sync EV and they were brilliant. We did get a full refund from EV Chargers, but the service was not great. Much better from Sync EV

Just had my Pod charger installed by EV Chargers UK. Great service from the day I applied for a quote. Very friendly on the phone and informative. I did apply for 4 quotes, But went with EV as they were not pushy on the phone and were very patient. I was advised of the installation date via phone and email. On the day of the installation the engineer walked me through the installation and also gave me a better way to hide the cable. Great service over all. I would highly recommend EV Chargers UK.

I went with EV Chargers UK as a friend had recently used them, who in turn were given their details by their dealership. Plus, they had the lowest price for the charger I wanted.

First of all they send you a long, confusing, badly formatted, email containing the chargers they sell, what you need to do to apply for the grant and how to go about ordering. It was so bad I had to check it wasn't a phishing scam. I had to trawl through it all several times before I understood exactly what I needed to do next.

Once you send all the photos (which you'll probably need to send in multiple emails due to the number of large files you'll be sending) of your various utility meters and fuse box, along with a required diagram of where you want the charger fitted and the various signed forms you then have to order the charger on the website.

Once I'd placed the order I then received a confirmation with instructions requesting that I sign the forms and send the photos that I'd already sent! I explained I'd already sent them (since you *have* to send them before you place the order) and resent them all again for good measure. Whoever responds to the emails isn't always the same person, and doesn't always sign their name, so you never know if you're dealing with the same representative.

They had given me no estimation as to when the installation might take place, so when I hadn't heard back after a week I chased them up and was told "we only book one week in advance and confirm appointments the week before" which is of no informative use whatsoever.

I waited two more weeks before chasing them again, and was then told that the installation was booked in 3 days time! So much for one weeks notice. And of course they couldn't provide me with an estimated time slot of when the installation would take place, that would have been far too helpful.

When the engineer finally arrived (approx one month after the original order) he seemed to have no knowledge whatsoever of the diagram I'd been instructed to draw and provide, and so I had to explain it all again. By that point just wanted to get the damn thing fitted so I didn't have to deal with them any more.

The installation went well, the charger looks great, although the conduit piping they had to route round the front of the house is black and ugly, but I guess that's not their fault. Also, the app you have to install to use with the charger (a EO Mini Pro, in our case) is next to useless, and seems to have no idea how much charge is in your car, but again, that's not their fault.

After the installation they sent me an invoice for the additional installation work, which I paid promptly. A week later, they chased me up to tell me the invoice was overdue. This clearly demonstrates the utter lack of communication between their various teams.

If you're looking for a decent EV charger installer there are lots of companies to choose from in the UK, so just pick one that has good reviews, regardless of whether they charge more for the unit itself. Also, try and find one that has a flat rate installation charge, otherwise you may get stung with additional costs.
