Scam!!!!
I wish I had read the comments here beforehand. I made a subscription and the money has been withdrawn but my membership has not been activated. I've been contacting the support for four days now. They weren’t helpful at all and stopped even answering now. I wish I never tried to make a subscription.

Loved Scribd/hate the new Everand
I subscribed to Scribd for 6 years and
loved it. The recent changes with Everand make me wonder what I'm paying for as 90% of my saved books aren't available. I'm an avid reader so getting 1-3 unlocks of premium books isn't enough. I'll probably cancel my subscription.

The change to the premium title model is NOT OK
I have been with Everand for about ten years. This last change to the subscription (premium titles) is ridiculous. It basically reduces the advantage over Audible to nothing for those of us who listen to a lot of books. I'm out.

Was GREAT. Now GARBAGE
Was GREAT.. unlimited books.. read and then another, save for later, etc. Now ONE BOOK A MONTH.. for $12!!!! That is a complete joke.. These are greedy people who are about to destroy their income base. Who would stay on there for one book a month?

Used to be good, now horrible!
I have been a subscriber for years. This past year has been the worst and I am canceling. The app freezes up constantly. The price keeps going up. Books I want to listen to I am told or unavailable for weeks and now everything that I have saved Needs to be unlocked and that can only happen if I upgrade my membership again.
WAS great, now Audible is better value
Was great and amazing for the past couple years as you could just keep reading and listening without worrying about limits or "credits." They just changed the whole subscription so it works just like Audible and you can only listen to one book a month under the basic plan or 3 books a month under the premium plan. I just like binge listening while driving, but now I'm not even allowed to listen to more than one or two weeks worth of content before it shuts off until the next months renewal
DON'T BOTHER IT'S A WASTE OF MONEY
Up until just recently Everand was an amazing app that allowed you to pay one monthly fee and have access to tons of books (e-books and audio books) all for one monthly fee. You had the ability to read several books, or if you are like me 10+ books at a time while still paying one monthly fee. Instead of simply raising their price the company decided to jump into the pool with all of the other disgusting companies out there who care only about their bottom line and not their customers by entirely changing their subscription plans. Now you can choose one book for $11.99/month or 3 books for $16.99/month to unlock and that's it. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. SAVE UP FOR THE BOOKS YOU WANT AND BUY THEM OUTRIGHT SO AT LEAST YOU WILL OWN THEM FOR JUST SLIGHTLY MORE THAN WHAT THIS COMPANY WANTS TO CHARGE YOU TO RENT THEM WHILE YOU CONTINUE TO PAY THEM ASTRONOMICAL FEES FOR BASICALLY NOTHING. I HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS AND WOULD HATE FOR ANYONE TO WASTE THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY FOR A GREEDY CORPORATE SHAM OF A SERVICE. I rarely leave reviews so this should tell you how disgusted and outraged I am by this company. Like I said save your money and buy your books, you will save yourself tons of money and have something to show for it in the end instead of just an empty wallet and a cancelled subscription.
Back to Audible After SIX Years, Here's Why:
I've been a subscriber to EverAnd for about six years. I've used their referral program to earn over 18 months free during that time. I have recommended this app (then Scribd) to nearly everyone I know and many, many people I do not know (on-line). I had my moments of frustration over the years. I read a lot of fantasy, and, occasionally (and without any written/specific "terms") I would be suddenly limited, usually late in the month, to anything BUT fantasy. Customer Service advised me I'd exceeded my allowed number of a specific genre. OK, fine. And, of course, Audible Exclusives will NEVER be found here. But, by and large, I've loved using this site/app. I've listened nearly every day for years!
Enter the New & Improved "Expanded" library - which is NOT an expanded library AT ALL. Now the thousands of titles I *could have* listened to a couple of weeks ago, as part of my standard subscription are LOCKED. My standard subscription allows me to "unlock" (BORROW) one book per month. An Upgraded Subscription allows one to "unlock" (BORROW) three titles ... but you are BORROWING the books (you do not own them, as you would with Audible) AND your "unlocks" (CREDITS) DO NOT CARRY OVER TO THE NEXT MONTH. Oh, yeah, and, of course, you STILL do not (will NEVER) have access to Audible Exclusives. This is a no-brainer to me. I'm taking my money back to Audible. It's no longer even CLOSE to worth it to keep my money with EverAnd.
Wish I hadn’t subscribed …
This is a poorly designed and somewhat confusing site with new and even more confusing changes. I have had difficulty adding and deleting both audio books and ebooks. There must be a better designed site than Everand. I will definitely not renew. I wish I’d read reviews before I subscribed.

Deceptive
This change was done in a very deceptive way. They basically lied.
I paid for a year's subscription with…
I paid for a year's subscription with unlimited access. I got -- three months.
I asked for a refund on the balance of my unlimited subscription. Everand refused because, they said, I had read some "premium" books. If that doesn't make sense to anyone, it makes even less sense to me.
Although I subscribed to Everand and Scribd for years, I am done.
Bad service, deceiving practices
I signed for a trial and the app assured me that I’d be notified three days before he trial period ends. I used the service for about one hour, It wasn’t for me. Never received any notification and was charged for a month. Contacted the company, no reply. Terrible customer service and company
Long-time Subscriber No More
I have been a subscriber since the days when Everand was still Scribd. Back then, the service was extraordinary—a treasure trove of both ebooks and audiobooks. But now, they've cast aside their loyal subscribers, offering nothing that even resembles the quality expected in today’s digital marketplace.
Their current model doles out pitiful access for a steep monthly fee, without even the courtesy of letting you keep the titles—unlike Audible. This so-called ‘service’ isn’t worth a fleeting thought, let alone a second look. Their free trial? A cunning trap. And if you’re foolish enough to subscribe, prepare yourself for a customer service experience so dismissive that any hopes you had will be shattered at your first request. Steer clear and consider yourself fortunate if you’ve managed to avoid them altogether!
Be ye not deceived with the single star rating, it is not even worth that. Had I the opportunity for no stars, that would be their proportionally meritorious reward.
Everand used to be the best and now it…
Everand used to be the best and now it sucks like Audible. I don't know why they started with this unlocking feature that you get to unlock one audiobook a month or every few weeks it used to be a great bargain and for unlimited audiobooks ebooks and such for one monthly payment and now it's just not worth it. I'm really going to miss using the ever end site for all my listening needs. Another thing I noticed was that the selection started to decrease there weren't as many titles available on their site then before when I knew they had a certain title before when I went to check back it was not there it was like it never was even ever available on the site so that was kind of fishy too.
Higher Price, Smaller Selection of Desired Titles
I used to LOVE Everand, when it was Scribd. Since the change it seems like there are fewer and fewer audiobooks available that I haven’t already listened to or that I am even interested in.
Now they’ve made it worse. For the same price I was paying per month for ALL of their content, I now only have access to an even more limited selection with one unlock for ‘Premium’ titles per month. If I’m willing to pay $5 more per month for the same limited library, I can have three unlocks per month. Considering 95% or more of the titles I have saved ARE premium, it would take me months to get access to the same titles I used to be able to listen to in the span of a week. Definitely not worth the price anymore.
Misleading Upgrade and Deceptive Practices
Everand is extremely deceptive and has completely misled its current users. They promised that upgrading our plans would give us access to even more books, but once I upgraded, they locked almost all the titles I previously had unlimited access to. Now, I’m stuck paying $16.99 a month for only three books, whereas before, I only paid $11.99 for access to nearly the entire library. Everand has essentially conned me and other users by promising "more access" when they’re actually taking it away and charging us extra for less. To make it worse, once you upgrade, they won’t let you go back to your original plan once you realize you’ve been scammed. Absolutely unacceptable and dishonest.
Don't buy an annual subscription
Don't buy an annual subscription. I paid for a year and the app doesn't work. 26 messages have been sent back and forward and still the issue is not resolved. I just want my money back but I am asked to send videos to prove the app doesn't work. Then I am told that there are no refunds available if you start an annual subscription.
I changed to the premium service…Now everything is Locked!
I changed to the premium service thinking that I'd be able to read more of my saved books - BUT now i find i get to "Unlock" only 3 books in a month????? Seriously? where did the access to all the other books go? I appreciated Scribd for all the older, retro and rare reads I could find in ebk and audio formats. . .and now I get only 3 books???? for another $60 a year? astonishing. Am Not Happy.
Rising price, less access.
New changes to the subscription as of November 2024 and its rising prices and a narrowing selection to books. What a joke.
