We had solar panels fitted three weeks…
We had solar panels fitted three weeks ago. Rep explained process clearly and wasn’t too pushy. Installation very efficient and mess free - scaffolding up Monday, panels up and running Tuesday, a bit of delay for scaffolding to be dismantled but all clear now. Minor hiccup today with the app that records our output, usage etc but brief emails back and forth with customer services (Daniel) and very clear instructions what needed to be done and quickly sorted. Would definitely recommend.

Andy and Lewis have done a fantastic job installing 12 solar panels along with two 5kW batteries and an inverter at my property. Their workmanship was clean, tidy, and very professional. They managed to install the battery and inverter in our garage — exactly where we hoped they would go — so nothing looks out of place on the driveway. Overall, an excellent and highly professional service.

I am writing to formally report misleading commercial practices and severe safety non-compliance by the solar installer Evergen Solar.
Evergen Solar is actively advising consumers that installing domestic battery energy storage systems (BESS) in loft spaces, roof spaces, or voids is safe and legal. This guidance is factually incorrect and directly contradicts mandatory UK safety standards, creating an acute structural and fire hazard for unsuspecting homeowners.
1. Regulatory Breaches & Technical Non-Compliance:
• BS 7671:2018+A4:2026 (IET Wiring Regulations Amendment 4): As of April 2026, the national wiring standard officially introduced Chapter 57 (Stationary Secondary Battery Installations). This chapter legally prohibits the installation of domestic battery storage racks in lofts and roof spaces due to critical safety risks, including lack of ventilation, thermal runaway risks, and extreme ambient summer temperatures
• PAS 63100:2024: This fast-tracked British Standards Institution (BSI) standard specifically bars battery systems from being placed in lofts, voids, and roof spaces to protect residents and firefighters from structural collapse risks during a battery fire
2. Nature of Misconduct:
Despite these national safety regulations being in full effect, Evergen Solar continues to recommend loft installations to consumers as standard practice. By declaring a prohibited practice as "safe and legal," they are directly breaching consumer protection regulations against misleading omissions and false representations.
Unsuspecting consumers must be protected from having dangerous, non-compliant electrical configurations introduced into their homes, which may also invalidate their domestic property insurance policies.
