We were mislead and lied to about our very low power outputs
Their Salesman told us before we signed a Contract that we would have a 11 Solar Panel System with a 5 Kws output that would pay for itself . It was to include a 5Kws Inverter and a free 5Kws Battery for £12,677. We signed the Contract and they didnt supply us with a DNO S98 for nearly 2 months so we couldnt get paid for all the Energy that we exported to the National Grid . Our System was installed on 19/03/2026 and since then we have complained about very low outputs and their Customer Service kept saying that the System was working Fine. After a few months they informed us that we had a 3.68 Kws Inverter and not a 5 Kws inverter that we signed up for. I checked the Contract and the panel output was 5.11 Kws output and the Battery was 5Kws storage and the inverter output was left Blank with no output written down . I told them that our power output was so low we had to pay Octapus for our Electricity at Night. I asked how much would it cost for an extra 5Kws Growatt Battery and i was told £2,750 which would throw our total cost up to £15,427. I checked online and I bought a Brand new 5Kws Growatt Battery for £830 with 10 years Warranty. I could have bought 3 Batteries for the price that they were going to charge us. I Contacted Tandem Loans Complaints Dept and they Emailed Evergen with no response Evergen refused to give us a 5 kws inverter that we signed up for. I then contacted HIES Insurance and they Complained to Evergen with no response from Evergen . And I asked Evergen to either give us a 5Kws inverter or remove the whole System from our House. I was told that according to the Contract I would have to pay Evergen to remove my System. I refused to pay because I am getting outputs of 0.5Kws and 0.8 Kws and 1.4 Kws . The maximum power output that i had on the hottest Day of the year was 2.9 Kws . There wasnt a cloud in the Sky and it was very Sunny with Temperatures between 32 deg C and 35 degC. That is nowhere near 5Kws or even 3.68 Kws I have now had to involve the Financial Ombudsman to fight my Case against Evergen . I have had a quote from another Solar Company for £7,943 for 12 Solar panels and a 5Kws inverter and 11.52 Kws Battery storage that is around half of the price that Evergen are charging us. They have Mislead us and lied to us about our power outputs and I want the System removing because their Customer Service is absolutely Disgusting and they cannot be Trusted. Evergen responded to my Review saying that they responded to my Complaints. They did nothing to improve the very poor Outputs their response to every Email was everything was running fine as it should be . Then they stopped responding altogether they respond only when they think that you are going to pay them more money.
I totally agree with most of these Bad Reviews about Evergen on Trustpilot.
Today on 21st September 2026 my 11 Solar panel System is only giving out 0.3Kws output it is not even enough to charge my Battery .This is totally Disgusting I am discharging my Battery during the Day to power my Home if it gets any Worse I will be relying on Octapus to power my Home again. Do not Use this Company for your Solar System installation they will Rip you off. They deserve 0*

Pushy sales people
Sales person was very pushy using outdated techniques
After 3 hours the quote was £17k then reduced to £15.5k on a "sign today" pressurised incentive,then they reduced it to £12.9k- how can they afford to drop the price by over £4k?
Because they use basic equipment and quote over the top prices, therefore profiteering
Like outdated double glazing sales people.
Same system elsewhere is about £10-11.5k depending on brand,spec etc
Ask for a formal written quote with full spec
Do your homework,use a local firm not a national one that subs the work out

Paul and Anthony were great
Paul and Anthony were great, quick installation, we had some slight issues to begin with but they helped us through them and helped us understand the slight changes we needed to make to help it all go smoothly so our initial installation date was pushed back. They made sure we understood everything and were prepared before they left and didn't leave a mess.

ZERO stars for after sales service, FIVE stars for pre installation service
I feel mostly disappointed with Evergen Solar. The pre installation service from them was great - it was thorough and informative. Once my installation was completed, I paid up in full. Making full payment after the installation was a mistake on my part. I should have paid around 75% on completion of the installation, and 25% or so on completion of receiving their handover pack and MPAN export number. Since I made payment to them, their after sales service has been terrible and typically what I’d expect from a big corporate, for which if I’d invested a small amount with them, I’d be prepared to accept, but definitely not for the 1*K plus that my installation cost. They failed to advise me before the installation that the scaffolding can take up to 4 weeks to be removed - which I found most inconvenient - fortunately mine was removed after 2 weeks. After the installation they advised me that their handover pack and my MPAN export number would take 4 to 6 weeks to reach me. I got their handover pack after 5 weeks, and it’s now 7 weeks since my installation and I still have not received my MPAN export number - after having exported around 1000 kWh back to the grid free of charge. There has been no clear indication from them on how an MPAN export number is obtained - only that I will receive it in an email from the relavent authority. As of now I am still trying to get my MPAN export number out of them, with shocking follow up and little accountability.
UPDATE - I finally received my MPAN export number from customer services on 11th September, after my 20th July installation date.

The delay to your export MPAN was our responsibility, not the network operator's, and we should have picked that up far sooner than we did. I am sorry too that we did not set out the scaffolding removal and handover pack timescales before your installation rather than after.
I have taken this on personally and I am in direct contact with you to get your export MPAN issued and your export registered, including the period you have already exported.
