EVO has left us stranded
EVO has left us stranded, they moved under Bankinter and nothing seems to work anymore. They said we will be able to manage all our products via the app in Bankinter but that was incorrect. I needed to search for my investments to figure out which entity holds it and needed to get in touch with them and still haven't been able to move it to Bankinter. On the other hand Bankinter does not seem to be prepared to handle the new customers from EVO, they collapsed and can't deal with any problem regarding these new EVO accounts. Disappointing to say the least, I hope some managers will be help responsible for this mess and learn from it at least.

It was a great online bank years ago but in the past year it's nothing but a nightmare and I don't recommend it
Once upon a time they were good. Now awful
I opened my account when they began as a bank and they were great! Now they have closed every branch and only one is left in the entire country. Their customer service is AWFUL. I took my money out and didn’t even waste my time closing my account. I wouldn’t put money I found on the ground in an account with them. RUN FAR AWAY!

I started with evobanco in my Erasmus, it was the coolest card on that time. Since then, they have closed every sucursal in spain.
So, if you have very few money, it can be a good place to stay. It's everything electronic and easyway.
The problem is when you need help. I would never ever recommend evobanco. Only if you are a young human with low salary.
In the two last times I have called they asked me about writting in trustpilot, ok, I already did.
I'm with evobanco more than 10 years, but everymonth, first thing I do is take my money from evo to other places.

The best online bank in Spain
I've been a EVO Banco customer since 2014 and it's been the best one so far. The customer service is excellent and it offers the best commissions. Even if you own a "nomina" or not.
Recently I was on the phone with Jose Manuel Calvo and he was the nicest so far. It was very pleasant experience.
AVOID
I ordered a replacement card from Evo on Sept 21 using their app.
Evo have an app with an automated system for ordering a replacement card that doesn't actually send the card.
Evo seem think that using HalCash in a bus station or a casino for weeks is a suitable alternative when they fail to send you the replacement card.
By the way it is not possible to update your details on their app so don't you dare change telephone number, email or address ever.
Thankfully Evo has a customer service team who are both incompetent, unhelpful and unable to make a scheduled phone call or reply to messages.
Their complaints department don't appear to understand that a complaint requires a resolution, so instead they dedicate resources to vaguely offering apologies and not solutions.
Evo has no physical branches you can visit to get an issue resolved.
The only way to get Evo to actually do anything is through spamming their social media feeds like a crazy person, so they are embarrassed into acting by their marketing department.
UPDATE: Nov 6
6 weeks after ordering it, Evo still haven't managed to send a plastic card to an address on their system
Maybe they will send it to me for Xmas.
UPDATE: Nov 10.
Still no card. Evo are incapable of answering an email, honouring an arranged phone call or resolving a simple logistics issue so I have given up chasing this and am opening an account in a different bank.
UPDATE Nov 16.
As expected no card arrived. Evo finally called me to tell me things I already know and to apologize for the mess, but not actually offer any solutions.
Evo then sent a follow up FB message to tell me that a new card is being sent to my address, afterwards they contacted me again via email to advise I can collect this new card from their office in Madrid.
This card is like Schrödinger's Cat.
So after 2 months of them failing to send a card in the mail 4 times, multiple messages, calls and emails later Evo's only solution is for me to fly to Madrid and collect the card from their office.
I have asked four times what the process for closing my account is and they are ignoring this request.
UPDATE: Nov 28th
Evo insisted on sending a card directly from their office.This card also failed to arrive.
So to date five cards have either never been sent in the first place, have all been sent to the wrong address, have all been lost, or have all been stolen by the postman.
I have opened an account with a competitor and moving my business there.
Don't waste your time with this cartoon bank. They are a disaster.
Pathetic attempt by a dying bank to appear modern
They pretend to be a modern bank, but under the hood it is still Bankinter — a typical obsolete Spanish bank with buggy digital services, incompetent customer support, and sneaky fees. I really see no reasons for anyone to use them when there are so many decent alternatives out there.

Horrible. Three weeks to make a account cancelation. Informatic failure evertime. And the esctructure of the account is very complicate.

I have been working with them for 6 month, and everything perfect. No presential office but you can do almost everything online / by telephone.

I've been EVO's client since 2018 and the overall experience is great. Sometimes the waiting time to contact a physical person can be more than 5 minutes, but once you get it, they solve your issues really fast and in a very polite and professional manner.

I'm with EVO since almost 10 years now and I never had a problem with them, also all the advantages they offer helped me a lot in tug situations and their online bank and móvil app allowed me to setup easily everything I needed anywhere, as last mention it could be said that their customer support is excellent and very kind.
