They were fine on my solar panel installation but now I can’t contact them
Don’t touch Eco homes of Southampton.
Don’t touch Eco homes of Southampton.
They are con artists.
Rep came to see us. He went on and on about what his company would do in our loft.
Showed us pictures of lofts which were apparently done by them.( Looking back I think they were pictures from magazines).
Promised us that our loft would be done and that upon completion we would receive a guarantee for the insulation material.
Never seen a guarantee even after ringing them. Now can’t even get hold of them.
£2350of our money wasted by this set of cowboys.
KEEP WELL AWAY!!!!!!!
Unpaid Bills - beware before handing over money
I did some contract work for them to provide pre-installation EPCs on two properties before solar panels were installed. My bill was £160 but they haven't paid it despite promising that they would. Clearly potential customers should be concerned before handing over large amounts of money to them if they are having trouble paying even meager bills. I was just filling out a small claims court claim but it now appears their website is down and they are not answering their phone, so it may be that they have gone out of business. I hope no one has lost large deposits with them.
Have they closed?
Evoeco homes final point:
Although the installation of the solar panels seemed okay and fair and a reasonable price.
Naturally the help needed to set up the over use energy reclaim never arrived and now never will.
The went into insolvency or liquidation or whatever term they wish to use.
(Unfortunately far too many PLC's have and do seem to find it far too easy to go into liquidation and simply leave customers stranded, and tax payers to cover lost cost .
Insolvency winding up order issued
Sadly, this company has now been issued with a winding up order (see Companies House website). The website has been closed down and the phones go unanswered. Great shame, nice people and good product, but customer service let them down.

I’ll grant you, the cavity wall insulation can be seen to be doing its job. On frosty mornings the frost is on the wall outside….
The constant return visits just seem to yield the addition of even more distribution boxes but for what?
Professional job
Engineers were very competent and all works well and looks a professional job.
Not sure how much electric I have saved during the winter as fairly low output from the solar panels. Hopefully we will gain it back and be feeding back in the summer. Registering for SEG and changing tariffs was a fairly long and laborious process.
The work was carried out well but...
The work was carried out well and on time. However there was an installation fault which they dragged their heels on resolving. I eventually went through the manufactures (Daikin) complaints procedure, they sent an engineer out who fixed the issue. The contract also called for 4 smart valves to be supplied, despite extensive communication and repeated broken promises they have not yet been delivered. Now some 8 months later I am in the process of starting to take them to small claims court to get the contract fulfilled.

Louis came to do the survey and was very polite and helpful. He told us that the scaffolder would turn up on the Wednesday and that the solar panels would be fitted the next day. everyone turned up on time and all the work was carried out to a very high standard, very pleased. I would recommend your company to anyone.
It was good but the installation could…
It was good but the installation could have gone a lot smoother. There were manpower issues that dragged the work into a longer period. The standard of work when it happened was of a good standard. The economy of the project i will reserve judgment until a 12 month period has passed, at this moment my energy costs are higher than i planned for

Updated review
I now have to amend my review. Although the panels, heat pump and radiators were installed on the date arranged, I have an issue with the company in that I ordered and paid in full for a battery (The rest of work was covered under grant) To date I have not received the battery (a month down the line) and it became impossible to get in touch with the company.
Luke Gifford sent emails saying he was getting in touch but never does, also you cannot get hold of anybody at the office. The whole business has been extremely upsetting. We have now asked our bank to try and get our money back (£2,795 is a lot for us to lose as we are pensioners. We have no trust in this company and even though initial installation was fine the business over the battery was awful and still going on as we don't know whether the bank will be able to get back our money. Be very wary.

Great company - efficient and friendly
The installation teams were efficient, friendly and respectful. The installation of the solar panels, heat pump, inverter, radiators, water cylinder and loft insulation was amazingly fast, just over a week! All with a smile. Lovely people. The resulting heating was the best Christmas present we could have had. Queries were all dealt with courteously, both locally and at the back office. A great company all round. Highly recommended.

A wonderful group & so hardworking
The workmen who came to my house, 11th Jan-16th Jan were polite and really hard working, that includes the 2 Surveyors, the Scaffolder & the 6 workmen who had a very big job on their hands. They worked really hard, never stopped & not only did they do a grand job but they tidied up afterwards.

Very efficient service
Called in the evening as our air source heat pump wasn’t working. Luke advised me straight away on what to do but didn’t quite work (because of my lack of knowledge more than anything) so they sent Harry the following morning to resolve it. Amazing service. Thanks guys.
