This is the most advanced AI retouching software I’ve found. As a professional commercial photographer this has sped up my workflow significantly. Lots of ways to dial in the controls, fast preview processing and doesn’t crash.
TERRIBLE customer service
The customer service is beyond terrible. Some live-chat help center somewhere in the middle of nowhere and the employees have no idea what they're talking about.

Evoto as a software works great and deserves at least 4 or 4.5 stars. Their customer service is one of the worst I have experienced. I purchased credits for over $200 and after I edited 65 images I got a notification that I had no credit. I emailed my receipt and proof of charge to them, it takes days of customer service to get back to me. I have been stuck not being able to finish a project for almost a week now. I changed my review to 4 stars. After 6 days customer service got back to me and solved my issue.

Powerful AI, but poor cancellation UX needs fixing

After posting my initial review, Evoto’s customer support team reached out personally and confirmed that UI improvements for subscription management are scheduled to roll out in about two months. I appreciate their follow-up, the goodwill gesture they extended, and their acknowledgment of the issue.
Out of goodwill and in recognition of their commitment to improve, I have updated my rating to 4 stars. However, if the promised UI changes are not implemented within the given timeframe, I will revisit and adjust my rating accordingly.
Looking forward to seeing the improvements go live and will update this review again once they are in place.

While my initial experience using Evoto AI’s editing tools has been promising—the results are impressively natural-looking and the interface is smooth and intuitive—I feel the need to highlight a major concern regarding their subscription cancellation process.
Simply put, it’s far too difficult to turn off auto-renewal.
After searching extensively through my account settings and speaking with both a live chat agent and email support (neither of whom knew how to cancel the plan), I was eventually escalated to a higher-tier representative who showed me how. The button was buried behind a tiny, unmarked icon—something no reasonable user would intuitively click to manage billing. It felt intentionally hidden, which is frustrating and borders on unethical UX design. This kind of obfuscation erodes trust and wastes users’ time.
On a more positive note, the AI photo editing itself is fantastic. I’ve only edited a few images so far, but I was genuinely impressed with the power and subtlety of the results. The desktop app was easy to install and integrate into my workflow. I did have an issue with the CAPTCHA loop when trying to claim the 10 free credits, but that was minor compared to the cancellation issue.
If Evoto makes meaningful changes to their subscription UI—specifically making it easy and transparent for users to manage auto-renewal—I’d be happy to revisit this review and raise my star rating. I believe in the product, but accessibility and respect for user autonomy need to be part of the experience too.

Using Evoto AI has made photo editing a breeze. Not only does it edit the photos fast, they look amazing too. I love that can use it either on my laptop or iPad so I can edit on the go! If you're a photographer or photo editor I highly recommend it!
Just blown away...
I had seen the review on YouTube from some very notable photographers and didn't think much of it. I have, like many other photographers, plenty of software that I am comfortable processing my photos with.
I ended up downloading Evoto to try out the "Remove Glasses Glare" feature and was ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY. The results were absolutely mind-boggling and completely natural looking.
Digging in, I used Evoto to process 130 headshots from a recent shoot. Using batch processing, I was able to get through everything in less than 2 hours. The batch processing did most of the heavy lifting, leaving only minor tweaks on an individual photo basis.
I am looking forward to using this more and looking even more forward to seeing what features are added and perfected over time.
Disappointing Experience with Unprofessional Customer Service
I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional and uninformed customer service I received. The lack of assistance and clarity has made this experience completely unacceptable. I expected much better support and resolution.

The app looks good, it doesn’t have RAW quality export option like DXO Lab, but the processing is good. What disappointed me, though, is the support. Instead of giving new users about 50 images after showing interest, they cancel them :(
The support person provided some information, but they are not tactful and do not behave as if they care about the user, and they openly say this.
Trial period is too short to see how app works.
The best app is already out there, and it's Adobe, but I don't use it because of the price. This seemed like a good option, but with customer service that openly says they don't care about users, what's the point, even if they were better?
I changed the rating from 2 to 3 because the customer service apologized and even offered 50 credits for a detailed program test. This is a good thing as it shows that not all employees of this company are unprofessional. The apology was accepted, and I decided to further assist them with some suggestions and constructive criticism. The reason for the 3-star rating is actually as follows:
- My images leave my PC and are processed in the cloud, which is unacceptable for some customers. Consequently, this program is dismissed as an option and loses potential clients.
- The credit policy, following the trend of subscriptions which are disliked by users yet have become standard practice for software companies, is even worse. This pricing model can only be afforded by professionals and wealthy individuals. If they introduced an option for smaller users that could be purchased on a monthly basis, like €10 for 30 photos a day (totaling 300 photos per month), it would be an acceptable package. Of course, they could also expand this to 50 photos a day at a higher price.
Overall, the program deserves a higher rating based on speed, results, and similar aspects, but due to pricing and online processing, unfortunately, I cannot give it a higher score.
