Don’t waste your time
I really wish I could give this company a higher score because at the beginning, their sales team was friendly, responsive, and helped me find a package that worked with our needs, quick timeline, and budget. Ultimately, however, I cannot say my experience with expert movers was positive as I had too many issues to ignore.
All in all, I would recommend going with someone else. It’s not worth it and I wish I took more time finding another provider.
Our move itself was quoted for 13 hours, however it only took 12. Still, one of the movers was complaining it was taking too long, he was tired of moving things, and he was not going to move our furniture into different rooms because he was done with it, despite our package including moving furniture into specific rooms.
Another issue I had was the packing of our items. Day 1 was supposed to include packaging our items and day 2 was set to be the move itself. The first day they left quite early because they ran out of boxes, but assured us that the remaining items we pointed out to them would be packed the next day and moved. The next day they refused to pack them and we were left hiring a second moving company later to move the remaining objects.
The third issue is the treatment of our plants. I would highly recommend you not let them touch your plants if you decide to use them. They packed them like they packed anything else- shoved in boxes with other items packed ontop. Many plants died, all had to be repotted due to soil loss from being dumped upside, sideways, or packed separately from their pots… one plant in particular was put in the moving van with a very large very heavy mirror placed on top of it. When we arrived at the end destination the plant was in pieces and the movers acted confused as to how that could happen.
Another issue I ran into was the box rental system. You do not own the boxes used during the move- you rent them. You are meant to hold onto the boxes for the team to pick up and use again. This is fine in theory, except it lead to many boxes breaking open and spilling contents everywhere during the move. Additionally the team has still refused to pick up the boxes. I have been told now on six different occasions that they would come to collect them, and they have failed every single time. I have spoken to three separate people about this and they all blame each other. Ultimately, they have all failed and I have an entryway full of boxes that I now need to rent a dumpster or a large van to get rid of. I have spent too many days waiting at home for a team who has failed to come and do what they say time and time again.
The last issue I have is the failure to return my keys. I provided keys for the team to enter the building so I would not have to buzz them in over and over again over the course of the day. At the end the drove off with my keys and have still not returned them. They continue to reassure me that my keys are “safe with them”, yet have failed to return them to me for over 2 weeks now. Additionally, I am now stuck paying for a new key fob, key, and lock because they refuse to pay the fee or return the keys.
