Great service and great items!

I was recommended this shop by my fiancée ejo got her pcnfrom them for both herself and her son, I bought a refurbished gaming pc bundle, it said to deliver between 10-12 working days, it came the next saturday, opened it up and saw that it looks actually brand new, and after booting it up, fixing stuff I noticed the cpu was upgraded/better than it was supposed to, which is just awesome, its working great so far. Amazing company and great service for great prices :) thanks expertec!

Overall a satisfied customer

I ordered my son a gaming pc for Christmas. I know nothing about them so the guys at expetec gave me advice on what the best pc was to buy. It did take a bit longer than expected to arrive due to high demand but I was promised I’d receive it on time for Christmas. I read a lot of really negative reviews which panicked me. People saying their emails were ignored and they weren’t receiving their orders. I sent a lot of various emails and every single one was answered. Jo promised me I’d receive my computer for Christmas and I did. Even after Christmas the aftercare from Jo was excellent. Not knowing anything about computers I didn’t select a big enough memory so jo asked me to send it back to them and they would install a larger memory for me free of charge. I sent it away and received it back 2 days later with the larger memory. I also didn’t select a good enough graphics card and due to the current climate they are virtually impossible to come by. Jo gave me advice on what graphics card I need and told me when I can eventually get one I can send it to them to install or one of their engineers can talk me through how to install it over the phone. Overall I am extremely satisfied. Sometimes companies make mistakes or can’t deliver on time but it’s how they deal with it that makes the difference. I was promised a Christmas delivery and I got it. I sent a lot of emails and they were all answered. I gave poor Jo a hard time at one point and she gave me great customer service before and after my purchase. I think this is a good and professional company, I just think they were overwhelmed during the Christmas period and some customers were left disappointed. Thankfully I wasn’t and I am really grateful to Jo and the team for all their help. My son loves his computer so I’m happy.

Scammers.

The good reviews on here are obviously friends of them. They have stolen £1100 from me and dont care. They say my refund is in the system. 2 months later and nothing. All they now say is, get your bank to claim it.
Scammers. Beware.

Ordered the twin screen gaming pc bundle in October for Christmas for my 14 year old son. Wanted to wait a while until I left a review to make sure everything worked as expected. Order arrived very quickly. Great pc bundle, son absolutely loves it and it's been great for his remote learning too, a real godsend for home learning. I see Expertec have had bad reviews but I certainly didn't experience anything negative, I think the whole Covid situation caused problems for them. I would definitely order from them again.

Great experience with Expertec

Great experience with Expertec.
I spoke to Jo who explained everything so clearly, l decided to order a refurbished PC as still has a year’s guarantee and outer casing is brand new so you would never even know. My son is so happy with it. It’s so fast and perfect for gaming.
Had a small problem with a corrupt disk but as soon as l emailed, Jo sorted it. It got collected by DPD and repaired and returned back to us all within 2 days....wow fabulous service, I’m sure you wouldn’t get that service with a bigger company.
Would definitely recommend.

Bad reviews... where! Great company!!!

I have no no idea how this company gets bad reviews. I recently purchased a gaming pc for my daughters 13th birthday and although there was a slight glitch and it had to be sent back I cannot fault their service they arranged collection and return of the computer within 4 working days even with bad snow we have had in Scotland: the computer is everything my daughter could have wished for and more and thank you to JO who has been the most helpful person to deal with. 10/10 thanks guys

So I needed a new PC for my husband's business/general home use as I nearly lost everything when the hard drive played up in my existing PC but the IT guy we use at my work managed to salvage it but suggested I definitely get a new one as mine was about 8 years old.
He suggested getting a refurbed one which I had not considered but he said so long as it's got 12 mths warranty you can get a much better spec PC for the same or less than a new one which also only has a 12mth warranty. He said to get i3 or 15 processor and a SSD.
So I found several online and he said the HP one with Expertec was by far the best PC for the price (8gb Ram/240 SSD/i5 7th gen processor - £256)....so I ordered it.
Then got a bit worried when I read some of these reviews....seem to be either really good or really bad but I had ordered it, so gave them the benefit of the doubt.
Asked when it would be shipped and was told 10/2....actually it was shipped 8/2 and arrived 9/2.
Opened box all very well wrapped and packaged.
Casing of PC is not in the best state but they do tell you it's going to have signs of use...guess I was just hoping it would look brand new! Any anyway it's only sitting under the desk.
I've been setting it up over 3-4 days now and I'm well pleased ... very fast (or at least compared to what I'm used to)...and all seems to be working perfectly fine.
I have emailed them a few times and always got a response within the day - even on a Sunday when I asked if shipping was still looking like the 10th!
I have given 5 stars and of course that is for service to date ... I just need to see now if the PC continues to work as well as it is now and if not that the warranty is honoured.
But for me all has been great so far....thanks Expertec.

Just before the new year I ordered a…

Just before the new year I ordered a gaming pc for my daughter.
Yes it did take longer to arrive but that's to be expected in this pandemic. They are short staffed and parts that come through Europe are also taking longer to arrive. I also ordered all the upgrades that they offer so building it would have taken longer anyway.
Long story short, my daughter is over the moon with it, so I am also.

I ordered before reading the reviews…

I ordered before reading the reviews and must admit was very anxious. However, after emailing, I had a virtually instant reply from Jo and she assured me that the PC would be delivered on time and it was! No issues at all and grandson is delighted with his PC. Can only go by my own personal experience but would not hesitate to recommend.

Look beneath the surface...

Having read other reviews it looks I was on of the lucky ones who got a pc that worked, 3 weeks late but it works. On closer inspection though the parts used are 10-15 years old and no where near good enough to classed as a “gaming” pc.
Expertec looks good on the surface, but I wish I’d dug deeper and taken my business else where.

Dreadful

My experience of Expertec has been similar to that of others who have left 1 star reviews. Expertec offered guaranteed delivery by Xmas but failed. No update, no explanation, no apology. Expertec then proceeded with delivery after Xmas even after a cancellation request. The order was sent to the wrong address in packaging that looked like it had been taken from a skip. Having sent it back, Expertec then failed to provide a refund, both within the time period they stated, and within the time period required. Almost 1 month later, still nothing. If I was to travel back to last November and offer my former self advice it would be to research this company, to take careful note of the 1 star reviews, and then to make sure that the company I finally chose to order from had a proven, consistent and reliable track record. In short I would have saved time, money and stress and not ordered from Expertec.

An overall good experience

We've ordered a gaming PC around 15th December 2020. Unfortunately we missed the Christmas delivery deadline. The product arrived in a perfect condition, looking really cool and in a fantastic working order, as per our specifications. There were some delays, a result of the current C19 pandemic and the heavy snows. Customer service has been excellent, Jo kept us up to date, responding quickly to our emails 24/7. Overall we have a very good experience, my Daughter is really happy and in the current climate we're thankful this product and service were still available.

Simply AVOID.

Simply AVOID.

Money taken immediately, 7 day delivery expected. 4 weeks in, no proactive updates and no PC. All contact had had to be initiated by me, and on every occasion they have picked one of several excuses from their ready made book... I even had two different ones in the same afternoon. Genius.

Case opened with my card company. Case opened with Trading Standards. Solicitor instructed.

I suspect I will need to visit them to reclaim my out of pocket expenses.

Pay the extra, go to a reputable company and avoid the hassle....avoid Expertec at all costs.

I ordered a gaming pc in November which…

I ordered a gaming pc in November which arrived on time, it didn't work properly and was uplifted the next day. 2nd pc came back within the week but unfortunately the casing was smashed again it was picked up the next day, a 3rd pc was delivered within the week but looking at the specs decided this wasn't the right pc for my son so decided I would send it back for a full refund. This was agreed and and uplifted a week ago.I'm now waiting for refund but been told I need to wait 14 days. I will give another star if this is the case. They answered my emails everyday and where helpful. I'm not computer savvy so didn't really know what I was ordering, but hopefully all will be resolved
