I have booked for a quote to replace my existing Martec Profile plus 4 bathroom 3-in-1 fan heater. they quoted me $1705.00 to replace that unit. The cost of the unit is ~$250.00 to purhcase from the shop. then I declined the quote and had to pay $49.00 for call out charge. Do not ever call these guys, please shop around. I still cannot believe how this could be $1700??
Person on the phone wanted to charge me over $300 just to come out at 5pm which is apparently after hours in daylight savings just to flick a switch. The next electrician listened to the problem and told me over the phone where to look for the switch in my new apartment so that I could flick the switch myself. I knew what the problem was and have fixed it myself many times in a house but did not know that the fuse box was inside the apartment and not in the locked cupboard out in the lobby. Very very overpriced for a minute extra on the phone and the flick of a switch.
Shoutout to Joe the electrician! He did such an amazing job at replacing my (high ceiling) bulbs. He was very patient, friendly and he did the job very well and quickly, too. Would recommend him to anyone needing any electrical service!
Called to have an electrician come around, was told that we are not in their service area, advertising states Camden south and surrounding areas, we live 10 minutes away.
Don't be sucked in by there $19 call out fee. It's a trap to get the electrician there and charge an exorbitant fee. They won't quote or give their hourly rates. They quote on the job only which gives them a blank check. Don't use them
They say Matraville local and they are not!!
They say $19.00 yet they charge $49.00 to come and give you an outrageous quote thinking that pensioners are stupid.
Their electrician quoted me $740.00 for a two hours work to install two already assembled ceiling fans, a job a true local electrician charged me $170.00
I was with out power . Call them in the afternoon and arrange one of they electrician to come over for $49 calling fee. Tomorrow lunch time i been asked additional $ 449 or $ 400 per 50 min to look for problem with no guarantee they find it firs hour or second and so on.
I try to explain them that my tree kids coming from school and there is no hot water, fridge and freezer doesn't work. My wife can't open gait to drive kids to school and beck but everything fell on deaf ears. They wanted to 'investigate'' for $449 per hour ! Also they NOT LOCAL FAMILY BUSINESS! Avoid at all costs! Shame!
I would highly recommend Service today. Booked an electrician to fix a power outage. Service Today was here within 2 hours after I made the phone call to resolve the issue, gave a price upfront, and restored power to my property for the night for the family to be able to have a hot shower and use the lights.
