Your refund policy is unacceptable
Your refund policy is unacceptable. You have deducted £15 from my refund despite the treatment not meeting my criteria. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, customers are entitled to a full refund if a service is not carried out with reasonable care and skill, or does not match what was agreed.
Furthermore, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if a consumer cancels within the cooling-off period, a business can only deduct for services already provided with the consumer’s express consent. Charging an arbitrary £15 “refund fee” is not a lawful deduction.
This practice appears to be a breach of UK consumer law, and I will be considering escalating this matter to Trading Standards if it is not resolved promptly
