I believe Vernon Kerswell is an upstanding gentleman. He has never stopped communicating and has always responded to all of my inquiries. Everyone falls on bad times and gets stung one way or another.... See more
They lied in 2019 when they said they had a production ready drone with a guaranteed delivery of June 2019. Their crowdfunding page had many paragraphs about how this wasn't like regular crowd funding... See more
Terrible experience, probably the worse
You guys check out the comments on Indiegogo.
Delays of more than a year, lies, lack of empathy, irresponsible, do not comply with what they promise, fraud, ignore those who support them once they have the money.
They benefit from the style of crow-funding so that they do not return the money and then they do not fulfil their duties.
An immature CEO, unable to take responsibility or present any credible result or response.
Avoiding the company at all costs.
Guaranteed disenchantment and deception.
This is an update to a major ripoff!
This is an update to a major ripoff!
If you don't want to read this review, just don't buy anything from Vernin Kerswell/Extreme Toys/Extreme flyers. Things have only gotten worse since the last review.
The product is a year overdue from its GUARANTEED delivery date. The campaign was closed which closed the window for getting refunds. After that, every significant spec that were important to backers were downgraded (flight time, weight, size, battery capacity, camera sensor, you name it) without consulting us or giving us the option to get refund.
There is lot more to say, but trust pilot will censor me and make me water my review down so as to be nearly useless.
If you work hard for your money and want to get value, and what you pay for, look to a reputable company elsewhere. The Mavic Mini is way superior and after all of the unadvertised hidden fees that you will be hit with in ordering the Micro Drone 4, the cost will be about the same.
I stand by this review and certify that it is truthful.
Avoid Extreme Fliers.
Extreme fliers is a U.K. based company that is responsible for the over hyped under promised micro drone 4.0. Over the past year the ceo Vernon Kerswell has made failed to follow through on specifications of his microdrone 4.0 and customer service. A June 2019 delivery guarantee has come and gone with poor excuses like having to redevelop and promised completely developed drone.
Vernon on multiple occasions has shown how inept he is as a CEO by not knowing the important points of his drone like current specifications and price points.
He shut down all potential for refunds and then downgraded the specifications. When asked to open up refunds he has denied his clientele their money returned. When asked to open up his books as to the Indiegogo Terms and Services he has refused comment and compliance. If this drone ships, it will not be the drone promised during its campaign and it will be outdated technology.
Extreme Liars
Extreme Fliers basically use lies and manipulation to trick people into handing over their money and then squander it over a long period of time by making excuses and straight up lying about what they're doing.
I usually don't partake in Crowd Funding but in the case of Micro Drone 4.0 this was sold as "Ready for production" and "Guaranteed June 2019 delivery". At this point we'll be lucky to see it in June 2020.
Vernon closed refunds before deciding the drone was NOT production ready and needed a years worth of tweaks. These included making the drone larger, heavier and with 30% less flight time. You don't need to know much about drones to see this is a downgrade in basically ever way.
In the year it took Vernon to make these downgrades (constantly saying he was overlooking production and making excuses) his "competitor" DJI released the Mavic Mini as well as recently announcing another new drone that we will almost definitely see before the launch of this obsolete Micro Drone 4.0.
I wish I'd have read the comments on MD 3.0 before funding as they are identical to how the MD 4.0 comments are now. Full of angry backers and people feeling lied to and mislead. That's what Vernon does. He lies and lies. He considers himself an entrepreneur when he can't produce anything of substance.
He refuses to answer questions that backer raise, instead ranting "trust in the process" and crying that he's being personally attacked.
The company is a farce and Vernon is an incompetent fool bumbling his way through the dark, trying to hold onto every penny he can.
Don't take my word for it. Go and read the comments on the MD 4.0 and MD 3.0 IGG pages and see the thousands of angry comments and Vernon doing nothing about it. See the revealing interviews with Geeksavana and the fantastic breakdowns by Ash and DroningON.
I don't really need to give this fool a bad review. He's done an incredible job himself (it's the one thing he's achieved so far).
Unreliable company, outdated drone
Unreliable company. Almost all original specs from the Indiegogo campaign have been abandoned. What remains is an outdated and big drone (not micro) with very short flight time, low-res camera, lots of camera shake and artifacts and hardly any flight intelligence.
- As of today (almost a year late since original production planning) we still have no real-world footage. Just 2 drone clips showing a few seconds video, 1 in a hallway and 1 horrible example in an outdoor video.
- Still no examples of full resolution photo's taken with this drone so far.
- Real word outdoor battery life now only 6-8 minutes max.
- In the video the drone looks like a brick and definitely not micro, it looks like a different model then in the original campaign.
- No app so far.
- No proof of production.
- High price and additional customs fees that were not mentioned in the original campaign.
My advise in short: Do not buy.
Update 13 June 2020:
Still no footage, no drone examples, no self reflection of the campaign owner, no feedback to questions. A total scam campaign that probably ends somewhere at the end of the year in the delivery of a useless toy drone. Outdated and obsolete. "Luckily" the owner is living from the crowdfunding money for 2 years now and probably years to come...
The worst company in the world.
The worst customer service of any company ever. I can´t believe how a guy like VERNON is the CEO of a company who has more than usd1.8Million right now. Amazing.

You will regret dealing with extreme fliers. For vast and overwhelming proof, simply see their last two Indiegogo campaigns, Geeksvana and Droning On (youtube), and BBC news. Yes, their grift is so substantial, it makes their national news.
SCAMpagne..very much!!
I invested in this SCAMpagne on Indiegogo as I really liked the idea about it. Promo video was really cool. But as things progressed ..shipping date (6.2019) is way behind, the drone is so downgraded (camera ,flying time,AI,shipping location,............)
The owner of the champagne in so unresponsive and he's favourite answer is trust in process.
He's so ignorant about refund and constantly misleading us.
I have enough of this lying. This is so unfair to us backers.
0 stars were given if possible
0 stars were given if possible. Crowdfunding. Takes your money THAN changes the specs. Should be production ready July 2019,still not shipped April 2020. UK company but once of a sudden ships from China (72 USD duties/taxes although in the campaign I paid 20 USD for shipping worldwide (given fact they are UK based means no more duties / taxes). Camera downgraded from 12 to 5 MP, flight time from 13 to 8 minutes. Total SCAM.
Incompetent? Fraudelent? Both????
Guaranteed shipping date exceeded by at least a year and still not sign of a product even close to being ready for manufacturing. Owner exaggerated the stage of development, inflated and then lied about specifications and completely refuses to provide information on the drone itself or a projected shipping date.
This company is simply over their heads and are busy trying to hide their incompetence by blaming numerous outside factors. They are also ignoring pleas from customers regarding drone capabilities and refusing to issue any refunds. I've never seen such a poorly run crowd funding campaign or, for that matter, company in general.
Unrealiable company at all
I bought a drone on IGG platform from this company. They are 1 year behind the shipping schedule and they downgraded most of the features they sold it with. Completely unrealiable owner and company.
Professional Scampaigners
In addition to all the reasons others have listed for this downgraded (barely) flying potato I would add Vern Kerswell is the most deceitful business person I have ever dealt with. I am sorry I ever gave this sham company a penny. Stay far away from anything this grifter has anything to do with or you too will be sorry.
Scam alert: MicroDrone 4.0 on IndieGogo
For the MicroDrone 4.0 campaign, they marked the product as "in production" to prevent backers from asking for a refund. It was supposed to deliver in June 2019, it is now April 2020 and they are still tweaking (and downgrading) the drone features.
It is no longer the product as described to lure backers.
Contributed to the campaign on…Indiegogo.com
Contributed to the campaign on Indiegogo. The delays and other factors are understandable, but the facts that the technical specs are altered after all the contributors have been locked in and disallowed to receive a refund due to the changes in the product.
The changes being that the promised quality of the camera, flight time have been dropped to lower specs. The product was sold as production ready, which it hasn't been even up to this day. The size of the product is increased big time (120g to 170g), so not a microdrone anymore. The flight time in the campaign was 13 minutes, now dropped down to 10 minutes. The battery was promised with a 1200 MaH, now it is 850 MaH. The promised 12MP camera has been changed to 5MP.
I would stay away from this campaign and possibly future ones.
Posted here also as they also have a…
Posted here also as they also have a micro drone page which is their one and only product. Review was more of the nature of the company rather than the product as I don't yet have this, any may never.
1 year over due, down graded specs form original advertisement, 4th time on crowd funding because they have no cash flow and no potential for a real investor. The video quality from their most recent, and completely redesigned drone (which they did at the expense of crowdfunding after they reached their goal) is akin to a web camera from 1995. They designed a new gimbal using brushed motors, not sure why they thought that was needed, but it's appallingly jittery and simply doesn't work. This company seem to have confused GCSE design class for actually being a real company.
Vernon is very emotional and cites his feeling are hurt any time some one critics his company or him for doing a really pretty terrible job.
And the worst of it is they (as in at the start of each campaign) continually release promotional videos which are far more professional and promising than they are as a company or what they could ever deliver. At best they are delusional immature millennials at worst they are out right liars. I prefer to be assume they are the former and give them the benefit of the doubt, but stay well clear.
Extreme Fliers reporting bad reviews that are true
This company have been too busy the last couple of days reporting honest and real reviews on here, made by the backers for their Micro Drone 4.0, here is what they said about my review that got reported 2 days ago:
Micro Drone's reason for reporting
This individual refers to us as "liars". We are not liars, we have abided by the terms specified in the crowdfunding campaign this individual is referring to. Our campaign has not completed and we will be shipping perks to all of our backers. Calling us "liars" is false.
On the campaign promo, which you can watch on the Indiegogo page to confirm, back in February 2019, Vernon Kerswell said this word by word:
With development complete and prototype extensively tested, we are now ready to start production
Fast forward to December 21, 2019 with update #18 on Indiegogo, Vernon Kerswell:
Dear Backers,
We are a month into production and the exciting work of manufacturing Micro Drone 4.0 is well under way.
Is it false to called them “liars” when they advertised having an extensively tested, production ready product in February 2019, when in reality they have just started production in November 2019? Almost 3 months later, it’s the end of February 2020, and the drone still needs to get fixed, so how much longer is this goto be delayed for?...calling them LIARS is correct, what was false is the claim of being production ready when they where not, just to get people’s money fast
On top of that the palm sized micro drone has grown in size, has reduced the flight time and produces a shaky, bad quality video that they try to blame for on youtube’s bitrate, not to mention how unprofessional and poor is their costumer management and the fact that they won’t refund to any of the many backers asking for one including myself.
And now they come on here, reporting a good number of reviews that keep calling them liars using the bad excuse that they haven’t delivered yet, a product that is not comparable to what they advertised for and that has been delayed for almost a year now
Trustpilot needs to take note and see how many reviews have been reported that claim the same things about Extreme Fliers and act accordingly by reinstating the original reviews and taking the ability to report reviews from this dishonest company.
promises
promises. promises. promises. and nothing.
they had promised in February 2019 to be ready for production, in February 2020 they are not yet able to provide a minimally acceptable product, completely different, for the worse, on what was promised in the promotional campaign. absolutely judgment and nrgative completion

What is better about this outdated garbage?
costumer relations are so bad , Vernon is delusional and wont admit he has been failling since 2016
Joke!
Joke. Don’t partake in their crowd funding schemes. They advertise as ready for production but then practically re-create the product from the ground up, cutting the main specs and not giving updates of substance. Utter joke!
Bought two Microdrones
Bought two Microdrones, one cant take off, despite full throttle and fully charged battery. The other one remains un-opened .
Disappointed Christmas presents.
