Shachihata is a 3rd generation family-owned company, established over 90 years ago as ink chemists and stamp pad manufacturers. The Xstamper® was born in 1964. During R & D tests and numerous experiments, the addition of salt into an experimental rubber compound resulted in the development of cellular rubber for the most durable pre-inked stamps ever made. Later, Shachihata pioneered and developed laser manufacturing for faster and better print quality. Today Xstamper® offers more than just stock and custom made stamps.
