Shut down Facebook marketplace
It just needs shutting down to stop those vulnerable from been scammed as it's just one big scam and Facebook should be sued for not controlling it
Marketplace is unusable.
Marketplace needs controlling/policing. I have had numerous no shows and numerous vague inquiries with no intention. The worst was a scammer said they were sending FedEx and I was to pay FedEx £49 to collect my advertised £20 item. When I queried this, the scammer said I would lose nothing because they would pay me back and it was themselves that had everything to lose. Not sure how that logic works. Many more messages of explanation ensued. I reported it to FedEx and Marketplace. Had a difficult time informing FedEx because the website requires a customer number. Managed to find their email and explained that their good name was being used in a scam but heard nothing back. Also heard nothing back from Facebook Marketplace. My latest item for sale was answered by a supposedly interested party, said they would collect a at 4 o'clock, even sent me a thumbs-up. Well it is now past midnight, so clearly, another no show.
