TITEL: 0 Minuten echte Spielzeit: Hacker zerstört mein Netzwerk und Facepunch bestraft das OPFER!
Kauft dieses Spiel nicht. Punkt. Ich habe Rust – abgesehen von ein paar Stunden im Early Access vor Jahren – nie angefasst. Trotzdem bin ich jetzt permanent gebannt. Warum? Weil ich Opfer eines massiven Cyberangriffs wurde, bei dem mein gesamtes Heimnetzwerk lahmgelegt und mein Router physisch zerstört wurde. In dieser Zeit hat der Hacker meinen Account missbraucht, das Spiel installiert und nach nur 11 Minuten einen Bann provoziert.
🛑 Die skrupellose Ignoranz von Facepunch:

Polizeiberichte sind ihnen egal: Ich habe den Angriff polizeilich gemeldet. Trotz offizieller Dokumente und dem Nachweis der Fremdeinwirkung stellt sich Facepunch taub. Sie ignorieren die Wahrheit und decken lieber das Fehlverhalten ihres Systems, statt Opfern von Kriminalität zu helfen.
Die Support-Sackgasse: Man wird wie Müll zwischen Facepunch und Epic Games hin- und hergeschoben. Niemand übernimmt Verantwortung. Es ist ein endloses Kreisspiel aus Textbausteinen, das darauf ausgelegt ist, dass man entnervt aufgibt.
Willkür statt Logik: Facepunch weigert sich, Logfiles oder IP-Abgleiche zu prüfen. Jeder fähige Techniker könnte sehen, dass der Zugriff nicht von mir stammte. Aber Faulheit siegt über Gerechtigkeit.
Rechtloser Raum: Nur weil etwas in den AGB steht, ist es rechtlich noch lange nicht haltbar. Facepunch glaubt, über dem Gesetz zu stehen. Wer hier kauft, begibt sich in eine digitale Diktatur ohne jede Chance auf faire Prüfung.

⚠️ Schlimmer als Nexon (Combat Arms)
Ich habe so ein widerwärtiges Verhalten schon einmal bei Entwicklern wie Nexon (Combat Arms) erlebt – Facepunch schlägt dem Fass den Boden aus. Es ist ihnen völlig egal, ob ihr im Recht seid. Wenn das System euch einmal (unverschuldet) markiert hat, seid ihr für sie erledigt.
Investiert euer Geld in Entwickler, die ihre Community respektieren. Es gibt hunderte bessere Spiele mit echtem Support, die ihre Nutzer nicht wie Kriminelle behandeln, wenn diese gerade selbst Opfer eines Verbrechens geworden sind.

TITLE: 0 minutes of actual playtime: Hacker destroyed my network and Facepunch punishes the VICTIM!
Do not buy this game. Period. Aside from a few hours in Early Access years ago, I have never touched Rust. Yet, I am permanently banned. Why? Because I was the victim of a massive cyberattack that crippled my entire home network and physically destroyed my router. During this time, the hacker compromised my account, installed the game, and triggered a ban after only 11 minutes.
🛑 Facepunch's Scrupulous Ignorance:

Police reports mean nothing to them: I officially reported the attack to the police. Despite official documentation and proof of third-party interference, Facepunch remains deaf. They ignore the truth to cover up their system's flaws instead of helping victims of crime.
The Support Dead-End: You get tossed back and forth like trash between Facepunch and Epic Games. No one takes responsibility. It’s an endless loop of canned responses designed to make you give up in frustration.
Arbitrariness over Logic: Facepunch refuses to check log files or IP matches. Any capable technician could see the access didn't come from me. But laziness wins over justice.
Lawless Space: Just because something is in their TOS doesn't make it legally binding. Facepunch thinks they are above the law. Buying here means entering a digital dictatorship with zero chance of a fair trial.

⚠️ Worse than Nexon (Combat Arms)
I’ve seen this disgusting behavior before from devs like Nexon—Facepunch takes it to a whole new level. They don't care if you're right. Once their system flags you (unjustly), you're done.
Conclusion:
If you buy Rust, you support a system that aids criminals and punishes the innocent. Facepunch is a prime example of incompetent and arrogant studio management. Save your money and your sanity—this studio doesn't deserve a single cent of your hard-earned money.

This game developer is the absolute worst. I've been playing Rust for at least two years without any problems and have never cheated or anything like that. Since the new update (the big 2026 update) came out, my account has been permanently banned without any explanation! Even if Facepunch had provided a reason, it wouldn't be acceptable! I've thrown money at you, and you just ban players like that when your cheat program fails? This is how you'll end up with fewer and fewer PC gamers and more and more console players. You're robbing us of our money, and I hope everyone in your company is losing sleep over it. What you're doing to your community is not right.

Game Ban from a game I haven't touched since 2022 and only played for 48 hours.
Suddenly I get a game ban for apparently trying to make a new steam account and play it. Im using my only steam account with the game on and haven't played it.
Trying to fix it, I now have to install and try to logon to a server.
Besides this Im getting spammed by comments on my game ban on steam and people dont wanna play on my servers as a result and therefore loosing revenue.

I've been playing Rust for quite some time now and have accumulated a considerable number of hours. In my opinion, Facepunch needs to change the rules governing server administrators. Players shouldn't be banned without a justifiable and verifiable reason – especially without proof of cheating.

Facepunch has developed a dedicated anti-cheat system specifically for this purpose. If this system detects no rule violation by a player, a server administrator shouldn't be authorized to issue a ban based solely on a subjective assessment.

Otherwise, the purpose of an anti-cheat program provided by the game developer becomes questionable if server administrators can still exercise unrestricted and potentially abusive decision-making power. Furthermore, anyone can theoretically become a server administrator. Therefore, I consider it problematic that individuals can classify players as cheaters and impose corresponding sanctions without objective evidence.

Read the fine print when purchasing a game from Facepunch. The games are temporary contracts and they can remove the game you paid money for and there’s nothing you can do. I bought rust on Xbox console and they removed it. If I had the time I would sue the s*** out of facepunch. F facepunch. Worst company ever.

This company is a joke

I had bought rust and legit played for a total of 5 minutes joining a dedicated server just to see if it would lag on my new PC well it was running fine so I logged out and went to work. To my surprise I get back 8 hours later finding out I was ban and that my account was hacked funny how no other game I've played gets hacked through my password and firewalls so easily...tried to make a appeal a few months later just to be told to get a better password... wtf answer is that get yourselves better firewalls that protect your community seriously never in my life did I see devs ask 80$ for a game that was out for over 10+years and get easily hacked my god theses are the worst f devs I've ever had the displeasure of trying there game stay away from any of there work

Frustrante experiência com a Facepunch. Minha conta foi comprometida por malware, e mesmo após relatar o problema à Steam/Valve, a empresa se recusa a resolver ou fornecer suporte. Todos os tickets são respondidos de forma genérica, e o cliente é ignorado.

Apesar de não ser responsável pela plataforma Steam, a Facepunch deveria colaborar com os clientes quando há contas bloqueadas injustamente ou comprometidas. A falta de comunicação e assistência é inaceitável. Não recomendo esta empresa a quem busca suporte ou responsabilidade mínima.

Frustrating experience with Facepunch. My account was compromised by malware, and even after reporting the problem to Steam/Valve, the company refuses to resolve or provide support. All tickets are answered with generic replies, and the customer is ignored.

Although not directly responsible for the Steam platform, Facepunch should cooperate with customers when accounts are unfairly blocked or compromised. The lack of communication and support is unacceptable. I do not recommend this company to anyone seeking basic responsibility or support.

Get rid of the background video in the menu there’s no reason why my game should crash on loading background video multiple times just go back to phase 1 and make the game work again instead of trying to add so much to break something that’s already broken

bad company and bad costumer services the ban you from the game with no reason and you cant talk with anyone and even by email they not replay you so i never recommend to buy any games from them .

I am deeply disappointed with how Facepunch Studios handled my Rust ban situation. My Steam account was hacked, and while the hacker had control, they used cheats in Rust. I had no involvement in this and was offline when it happened.

When I regained control of my account, I was shocked to find a permanent ban on Rust. I reached out to Facepunch, expecting them to investigate the hacking incident — checking IP history, suspicious login activity, and timestamps to see I wasn’t the one cheating.

Instead, Facepunch dismissed my case entirely and redirected me to Easy Anti-Cheat/Epic Games. They refused to acknowledge that the ban happened while my account was compromised. Their refusal to properly investigate shows a lack of accountability and player support.

I have spent money on Rust and supported the game legitimately, only to be punished for someone else’s actions. Facepunch’s stance is that it’s “not their problem,” which is unacceptable for a developer that controls the game’s ban system and player experience.

Regarding Rust; A video-game that does 'wipes' is not a good video-game. It is not balanced, & relying on wipes is not a bandage that should be used. Only infecting the wound, so to speak. That is what this review is for.

Regarding Garry's Mod; It is time to do an overhaul.
Regarding s&box, it is not good nor is it ready at all.

Don't buy their product. Bunch of thieves!

They don't care about customers, always push you to brick wall. Supports just copy paste their answers like outdated bots. Don't bother with this company games or you will regret it...

You don't want cheaters to steal your account and get it banned, keep your Steam account safe. The game is about being off-line raided, don't complain here. There are PvE servers wich are great, go there, they have great communities. One of the few devs that did not sell out hard.

The worst support I have ever had the misfortune of encountering. They may improve somewhat if they did something at all, liked their jobs even slightly (pref. both) and maybe had a slight idea of what manners are. I can save you the trouble of being vomited at by these fellows (NO NEED TO CONTACT THEM AT ALL FOLKS!) None of them can do anything for you, or even taslk to you, so just do not bother with their useless games or whatever you should call the spewdom they blow out their fannies. Kissés

i receive a ban after breach hacked me accompt with 2 factor security the last time i play is 2018 someone play on me accompt and cheat and now after i recovery me accompt i see the warning and say you baned from rust me game rust is not install to me pc i discover someone play becasue i try play americain truck simulator and is say you alleready connected at other computer and you play rust right now and i say omg after that i rechange mail and change again password i have prove please i know you have politic 0 for cheater i hate cheater and this why me stop play anygame online but right now if you search you see a lot person ban and same situation hacked we have a serious breach security on steam right now and not good for legit player

I got banned... but i didnt run game after update. I saw few accounts which didn't run game for last 2y and they got ban too for f.. what - CHEATING? XDDDDDDD Worst studio ever.
