Face Yoga Method bad business practices
Has anyone signed up thinking it was a one month course and then found out that they have been paying monthly because they do not receive notifications that they will be charged in a few days? I accept that I should be checking my bank statements so that's on me but if I stop paying my membership I lose any information that I've already paid for. That does not seem fair. I'm waiting out my final month but I'm not in a position to lose so much money.

Notifications were sent. Here's what happened before the first charge:
• The trial offer email clearly stated: "After your 30 free days, it's just $57 a month if you want to continue. And you can cancel anytime, no questions asked."
• The checkout page displayed the trial terms and the $57/month recurring charge before signup was completed.
• As the trial was ending, a direct message was sent to your account — delivered to your email — with the charge date, the amount, and a direct link to cancel or switch to a lower plan.
As for losing access when a subscription ends: this is how all membership-based platforms work, similar to a streaming service. You have access to the content while your subscription is active. This was explained clearly at every step of the signup process — it is not a one-time course.

Great Courses, but Subscription Trap (edited)
Without today’s credit card alert my review would actually be glowing - the program is excellent and effective, the teachers are really good didactically and you learn a lot about your face.
However, product quality doesn’t make up for a lack in business integrity.
In July, I bought their summer camp offer, which was great and affordable. I couldn’t stick with it because my long COVID induced fatigue became far stronger, but I know otherwise I would have enjoyed it very much. I realised it was meant as a sneak peek into the full membership, and I was expecting an upsell email and to be asked to join, which at the moment wouldn’t have made sense for me; but such an email never arrived.
Today my credit card company informed me of a charge of 147$ from face Yoga method. For a membership I never knowingly entered (and absolutely can’t afford after months of illness, and won’t be able to take advantage of any time soon).
I couldn’t even figure out for what length of time that payment is supposed to be, because in the app there was nothing to be found where I could manage or look into my subscription.
An email to the company has been written and sent, of course, and I hope they’re willing to refund me.
But even then, a warning seems necessary: Face Yoga Method remains a company I can’t entrust my credit card details to without fearing they’ll charge me whatever whenever without my consent. Not cool.
Edit October 25:
I got refunded quickly and easily, and I was made aware that in July, I didn’t „buy summercamp“ but subscribed to the membership at an introductory rate.
This wasn’t made awfully clear within the payment process: In fact I was under the confident impression that I was actually buying something (that I would be able to keep). Instead, it’s a membership and once you stop paying for it everything disappears.
It’s quite possible that I overlooked the small print, as one tends to do - but I’m not overly in love with business practices that bank on you overlooking the small print. If I buy another course from them, I’ll make sure to have a LOT of time to read everything with a fine tooth comb and make absolutely certain that I am indeed buying, not subscribing (am I the only one who’s lost all patience with the ubiquitous subscription culture that has developed over the recent decade?).
I’ve adjusted the stars to three: five and over for product quality and customer service, but zero for the lack in transparency and clarity in their marketing and for making the material disappear that you paid for after you stop the membership.

To clarify for you and for others reading: the $147 charge was a scheduled renewal of the Membership Pro plan you joined in July at the introductory rate of $99 for the first 90 days. Renewal terms were clearly stated on the enrollment page, and we also sent a reminder email one month in advance.
As soon as you contacted us, we replied both by email and directly on our platform, and you’ve already seen our reply. Your membership was canceled and a full refund issued immediately, so you can be assured there will be no further charges.
We’re truly sorry this caused stress, and grateful that you’ve enjoyed the quality of the program itself. Transparency and care for our members are very important to us, and we hope this gives peace of mind to anyone reading.

Scam, stay away from them. Don't even make one payment you will have 3 or 4 charges in a matter of minutes without any authorisation. I have reported them to the bank and to the fraud department in the UK! `They ask for proof below and I provided it. 3 payments in one hour.

Highly effective and comprehensive programme
The team at faceyoga method are so helpful and friendly. They answer queries very quickly. Always polite and make you feel like a valuable customer.
The face yoga bootcamp is itself is a wonderful programme. Easy to use with its roots in traditional acupuncture/accupressure methods that really do work. Before the faceyoga method i had used other techniques/programmes but none are as effective or comprehensive.

The people she gives courses to are predators and fraudulent.
I just saw one on fb in DK, trained by Fumiko, who obviously just uses BOTOX, her forhead didn't move in any of her video's to the pount it looked alien.
When asked to upload a video of the forhead moving, as she kept insisting she didn't get any botox, i got blocked.
This is just a bunch of predatory women taking advantage of other women's insecurity.

A big hello to the whole FaceYoga Method family. Just attending this bootcamp I can see that every member is doing its best to reach out at us.
I attended quite some yoga lessons or applications which I picked up on instagram.
But I have to admit that none of it was so interactive or putting afford to get the poses right. Or even explaining what is for what. And question part is great because each face yogi is unique and being able to ask questions concerning the poses enables us to adobt the pose according to our face and skin feature.

They give forever access to bootcamp for the same price as they gave a 12 week access before and would not even consider to gice axcess for longer. They show the same exercises in different programmes but in the end they only want customers to pay more and more for the same stuff.

To me what makes a great company is the whole package; obviously, the first I am going to look at is the quality of what they are offering although, without a good customer service, the experience can be spoiled completely.
