Photos deleted forever 💔 🥹

Review also on Google with necessary screenshots to warn you of our negative and heartbreaking experience.

A photography session with Stéphanie was arranged as part of the Basking Babies experience (separate business to them). This was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate 6 months with our little girl. In spite of paying for the images and having communicated that payment had been sent on 7 August 2025, and confirmed by Stéphanie via e-mail, we received news today on 19th August 2025 that the images had been permanently deleted prior to being sent. As a first time mum, this is most upsetting to hear. A time that was meant to be lovingly celebrated and photos that were meant to be proudly displayed on the walls of our family home have turned into a sad, painful moment that will last a lifetime. Stephanie has offered a refund and there is a possibility that one image has remained that could be sent.

It was because these photography sessions were organised with Basking Babies on 18th July 2025; we saw a preview of the photos and we paid for the 3-photo package that we as a little family saw no need to organise a 6-month celebratory session with another photographer. The session was done; there were a few photos that we liked and we paid for them. The photographer highlights in the Google review reply that the session was cheap - it is not about the money. It is about being let down after having paid for a professional service and not being able to go back in time to celebrate our young babe’s half-birthday with another photographer.

Update : one remaining image was sent which wasn’t even the one of the ones requested. Secondly, Basking Babies (Carla) replied to say that the photographer would not be at any future sessions we had booked on to at Basking Babies so we are unsure where the offer to have a second photo session came from.

Update 2: we spoke to a local photographer who learnt of our upsetting experience and they have offered a professional studio session for my family with short notice to make up for the negative experience ! It won’t be celebrating our little girl’s 6 months but I am hopeful that it will be a much better experience than what we had. There are good people in this world 💕.
