I also agree with Cari - Don’t Buy from Fairygate! They sent me the wrong pieces for my size opening. Over a dozen emails later and now they say they don’t even carry the size prices that are clearly listed on their installation instructions. It’s just another Chinese scam company with poor customer service. I need to stop ordering from the most prominent company displayed on Google search.

No longer needed order and company will not respond so I am return product. There is no customer service.

I placed an order for a 40” tall gate for my 65” wide hallway. What I received was just a door. After much back & forth with the company via email, they said that I got what I ordered & that was that. The description I read was for the correct measurements & the product was not nearly close enough to what I needed. The company WON’T pay for return shipping. On top of that, they charge a restocking fee. I paid almost $200 for this crap & now I won’t even get my whole amount back. Don’t waste your money on this SCAM!!!

I ordered the 72” tall/ 45.6”-61.5” wide narrow bar gate from fairybaby.com on December 28th, and it arrived on January 5th. I was nervous about it, because outside of the website there aren’t a lot of reviews.

I didn’t get any updates after the first initial purchase confirmation email. I decided to email their customer service on the 4th, and they let me know it was arriving the next day and gave me a tracking number. Tracking showed it was shipped through swiship and was sent from the seller to an Amazon facility. That’s the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 - no notifications when it was shipped until I asked. I didn’t get an email when it arrived either. I was able to track it with the number they gave through PayPal.

It arrived the next day as stated. I really like it! It’s pretty sturdy. Very customizable with width. The pressure mount works well! However, with enough leverage the bars can be bent towards each other, but I am not sure what scenario that would happen. I think that’s a pretty common thing with most gates. The bars do not bend like that when pushed forward or backward, at least not without a lot of force. My cat can’t do anything to it lol. I don’t think a dog could break this gate. So if we get a dog in the future I think it will come in handy.

It looks very nice (we got the white one)! The door is a little narrow, but I turn slightly to walk through and it’s fine. It fit our laundry basket when we went through with it in front of us, short side in front.

It has a little slanted step on both sides of the door to help prevent tripping. It also came with wall Nannie’s (not as thick as the actual wall Nannie’s I found on Amazon, but still good). I got the widest gate option, and I love how it can fit a narrow doorway or my super wide hallway where it is now! The extensions are connected by a metal peg that slides into a corresponding hole. They have sturdy sliders that slip on to brace them so it doesn’t bend at connection points. The door lifts to open. I sort of wish it was a click to open like our other gate, because this gate can be heavy. But if you are keeping kids out — it’s perfect lol. It can be sort of loud. If you open it to a certain point it stays open (this is where a sort of clunk noise happens. Not terrible, but not ideal at night). If you don’t reach that point it swings shut on its own, so do watch for animals and/or children before you let it close.

Also, as of january 6th, 2026 the code “MICKEY25” from dealspotr gives you $25 off. I used it on my order.

Although the website says"free returns" I was initially told I was not able to execute a free return for a gate that is unused, in perfect condition, and sent to me in error. After some back and forth, Fairybaby offered to split their corporate return fee with me. It only cost me $7.50 to return the gate have the situation resolved. I do not think they should advertise free returns as they only offer free returns if the gate is defective.

Wrong size gate. FairyBaby responded the missing extension “pieces” were in the second shipment. When the second shipment arrived, it only contained one 3” extension, not the additional 16” extension. Paid for the largest width gate, and expedited shipping. Fairy Baby still has not fulfilled this order with correct gate extensions rendering what I have received as useless for the extra wide doorway.

I needed a gate to prevent my cat from getting into one of my rooms. Their gates are extremely well made. Very easy to put together, sturdy, and super simple. It feels very safe. After about a year, I needed customer service on a small piece that broke, and they immediately sent me a replacement part! I am a huge fan of this company and highly recommend their gates to anyone.
