I don't post negative reviews lightly but I wanted to share my recent experience with Family Retreat Oasis in order to warn others about this Company and it's director - Evija (Eviia) Poriete and to prevent anyone else from falling victim to this Company too. In October 2024 I booked and paid in full (in 3 equal monthly instalments) for a family retreat that was due to take place in Somerset in August 2025. In July, a few weeks before the retreat was due to take place out of the blue I received an email from Evija saying that the retreat had been cancelled due to personal reasons. Whilst this was very disappointing and challenging to book something else because it was peak holiday season, I could have understood. The issue was this - there was no commitment and no date given for refunding me the money that I had paid. Instead, I was met with excuses about why the money could not be refunded straight away. This has been a horrible experience - I was promised (and had paid for) a heavenly, relaxing retreat, instead I have had weeks of stress and anxiety and a fight on my hands to try and get my money back. If I could have given 0 stars I would have.

It was an incredible week spent with the children in this fantastic atmosphere.
Evija, thank you for infusing this retreat not only with great work but also with heart.
The childcare team who spent time with the children did an amazing job; they were very happy. Here, I found rest for my body and soul and discovered answers to many questions that had been on my mind. I also made new friends. I miss the time we spent with these strong women; we supported each other, shared our impressions of wonderful yoga and other practices, cried and laughed, danced and sang. It felt like we had known each other for a long time🤗🤗
I will definitely recommend Family Retreat Oasis and eagerly await the next retreat. Many thanks to Evija and her team.

The Family Retreat Oasis ski retreat in the French Alps was a five-star experience. Evija and her team are true professionals, everything was organized to the highest standards. The chalet was a real gem in a beautiful location. Every day we had yoga classes and other activities including skiing. The team organized ski passes, ski equipment and transfers.
The food was one of the best I have ever had, with a different menu every day. Great childcare while moms were busy with the activities offered by the retreat.
I really liked it, it was an unforgettable break from everyday life.
I will definitely recommend Family Retreat Oasis and can't wait for the next retreat.

In April of this year, we went to the Oasis family retreat in Spain. It was one of the most fabulous experiences for me and my children. Family retreat Oasis is more than a retreat. My children and I experienced care and healing. I would like to praise and thank Oasis family retreat team and especially Evija for such high-class organization and hospitality. I definitely recommend attending and experiencing this retreat.

If I could give Evija, Yannick and the rest of the staff as well as the family oasis retreat 10 stars I would’ve! It’s our second time coming back to the Retreat and I just can’t get enough. As someone who works full time while trying to live up to the pressure of being a perfect mom it was the best experience I could’ve gifted myself and my 3.5 year old son. I cannot wait for the next year (ski retreat yay!) and would highly recommend anyone looking into the best vacation option for a family to consider it. Sending love ❤️

Amazing retreat in the mountains with Evie & her talented team. 1st class hospitality, very nice food, location and chalet was top notch as the company was great. I felt very relaxed through the week knowing I could enjoy skiing whilst my little one was looked after. Would definitely recommend and would absolutely come again!

As one of the childcarers on the retreat, I had the privilege of experiencing a transformative week at the France ski retreat. Even though my mum is the host, and I witness her working tirelessly at home every day, it was truly amazing to see her in action during the retreat. She gave her absolute best to ensure that every guest, whether mother or child, had a wonderful time, and it showed.

To be honest, I almost didn't attend the retreat due to a stressful few weeks leading up to it. But I am so so grateful that I did because being part of the Oasis team and interacting with the guests, especially the little ones, brought me so much peace of mind. The positive energy from the team is infectious, and even a simple hug can make you feel lighter and happier.

And let's not forget about the food! It was simply amazing and can definitely be called "brain food" as it made me feel healthier and stronger.

You might think that I am a little biased, because Evija, my mum, is the host. But in fact, she'll be the first to tell you that I can be her harshest critic (only out of love of course). But I couldn't be more grateful for this experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a break from their everyday routine.

Before having my beautiful baby boy, I had a regular yoga practice that I found very difficult to sustain once he was born. As a single mom, I was looking for holiday options that would allow me to get back to practicing while my son is well looked after as well as have some time for the two of us to bond. Family Retreat Oasis sounded like a dream come true when I found it on the internet and have proven to be even better in real life! Everyone in the Family Oasis team made me feel welcome and supported from the moment I booked the trip and went beyond what was humanly possible to make sure that both myself and my son have everything we need. Amazing yoga teachers, nutritious food, professional daycare, phenomenal treatments and fabulous accommodation made this trip unforgettable. But what’s more, the team has created a space for me to bond with my baby in a completely new and profound way. I can’t wait to book my next retreat with them!

I had an amazing time at the Family Oasis Retreat. The food was excellent and varied, the yoga wonderfully emotional and the location, incredible! Evija and the team were so lovely and couldn't do enough for us. My room had an amazing view across the valley and the schedule was just right to keep us busy but relaxed. I'd absolutely recommend you to have a week at the retreat, and make sure you visit the local beach too!
