fares4ever place fraudulent credit card charge after canceling order with them

fares4ever showed up as a vendor with attractive prices at the google flights site. The price was low but not outrageously so, so we followed the link and booked, got a confirmation number. We then got a text message asking to call to confirm - in fact they hadn't booked anything and then quoted a price more than double the attractive one. We asked to cancel transaction, and they said they would, but 20 minutes later a charge to another airline appeared on our credit card - we had to cancel card. Reported fares4ever to FTC. Fraud!

Dear Customer,

We’re sorry to hear about your experience.

Please note that no charges are processed after a cancellation request is confirmed from our end. In some cases, you may see a temporary authorization or a charge from an airline or supplier due to ongoing booking attempts, which usually reverses automatically if not completed.

We strongly deny any fraudulent activity. All transactions are processed through authorized systems.

Kindly share your booking or transaction details so we can investigate and assist you further.

Regards,
Team Fares4ever

👀WARNING: PSA: FARES4EVER WARNING!!!

We used this site to book a round trip ticket to Fort Myers. When we booked the ticket, it was $286, the agent called within a 1/2 an hour and informed us that it was an economy ticket at that cost and all they had left were the main cabin at $486. We thought that seemed a bit normal. A little bit confused , but we went ahead and said, okay. Then suddenly we couldn't get a confirmation for our plane ticket. We had to wait forty eight hours. When we did receive the ticket it was a one way not the not the round trip ticket we purchased aand it still reflected an economy seat and not the main cabin. We reached out to the agent again and proceeded to get berated for not knowing the "process" it takes to receive a ticket with the confirmed airline. They became quite angry, very nasty, and extremely aggressive every time we called to check on the flight and the ticket. Finally, we contacted American Airlines with what they gave us as a one way ticket, not the round trip ticket which we paid for, again the agent stated, "that's not how things are done."
We asked American Airlines if the ticket was real. American Airlines had actually flagged the ticket as fraud. And explained that companies like Fare4ever tend to take people's credit cards. Pay for the ticket purchased with someone else's credit card and while they pocket the current customers funds. She informed us that the credit card number attached to the ticket qas not the one we provided. And that customers are generally caught surprised when they find out that their ticket has been flagged, and they are unable to fly. The company couldn't provide the round trip ticket because this is how thw scam works. They will also use a3rd party website that may not catch the theft or fraud before a customer goes to fly. We alerted our credit card companies whom had already flagged the purchase as as suspicious due to the online nature of Fares4ever. We alerted the Better Business Bureau, as well. It should be made a public service announcement, and all should know that this is not a legit airline service, nor is it recognized by any agency in affiliation with FAA or INTA or any other legitimate agency.

Dear Customer,

We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused.

The initial fare was no longer available at verification, and the updated fare was shared and approved. Due to airline processing, the ticket was issued in parts, which is why only one segment was reflected initially.

We strongly deny any claims of fraudulent activity. All bookings are processed through authorized channels. Feedback regarding our representative’s behavior is being reviewed internally.

Please share your booking reference so we can verify and resolve this matter promptly.
