Used to be great now it's awful
Used to be great, now the service is awful. I really need to move. for a second time a domain I have paid for and have on auto renew, has been paid, and then left to expire by Fasthostingdirect , who have then also sent me an email telling me I have not paid.... No doubt it will now take days for them to reply and who knows how long for this to be fixed.... sad how downhill this company has gone

Web URL renewed on the 23rd of December for it to expire on the 30th! And still after 10 days it's not been reactivated! Every year we have the same problem! Customer service doesn't exist or if it does they must all be on holiday! Two emails now sent with no reply! Think it's now time to abandon ship!

I've been with this company for a long time since 2007. They were good to start with but now they just probably can't cope with the amount of customers on their shared hosting platforms. They reply to emails very late after 48hours usually sometimes after a second prompt.
Would not recommend them.

For £19.99 for 2 years, they are the real deal, (you get problems with other hosts paying £100's more.
They have also just upgraded there reseller network and now offer all ver of php on cpanel at the same time.

The 24/7 support they promise is untrue. I am still waiting for a reply to my emails sent weeks ago about them not passing on my domain payment. I have no complaint about my website because I have not had a problem yet. Pity help you if your site has problems.

I've been using Fast hosting direct for years and it's all been fine but the other day someone told me my website wasn't working so I checked it out and it not working.
They have no way to contact them apart from via email which they don't respond to so now I've paid for the service and it's not even working.

I have hosted with Fast Hosting Direct since around 2006 with a number of different sites. Until recently I have had good service, replies to emails and resolutions have been quick. In the last couple of months I have been sending messages via email and via the support system and I have received no responses whatsoever.
Both sites I host with them are currently down for different reasons, one due to inaction on their part.
I am trying to get my EPP codes to transfer the domains but they have not responded to this request either.

Been with fasthostingdirect a few years now. Took out a new Domain and space a few days ago now. Sent three emails to support no answer to any. I cannot get into the members area to build my site. Looking into getting a refund.
Now a few more days on and I cannot access Control Panel even after resetting password numerous times. No help via contact. Took my money and no refund.
Spoke to paypal yesterday 29/6/17 made a complaint to see if they can get my money back off fasthostingdirect but still no reply from the diabolical company.
A disaster of a company. Used to be good - now dreadful.
They were a great firm a few years ago. Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole now. All my sites have stopped working and five attempts to contact them have been ignored. They have been charging for services they haven't provided and when in the past I did get some replies to queries the person answering was clearly illiterate. I'm in the process of relocating all five websites as a matter of urgency as the email side of the sites has also stopped working.
Absolutely terrible customer service
Absolutely terrible customer service. Actually it is worse than that, there is no customer service. My site has been returning a 503 code for the last 3 days. They do not reply to emails. Steer well clear.

Have been with them for many years and each website I do i recommend them to my customer. However as I use joomla it has become slower and slower to the point it's unbearable so in the last couple of days I have switched to 123-reg hosting. Same joomla install and template runs instantly, I cannot explain the difference but it is there.
Funnily enough today 123 have just had a power outage and my new site is gone for the moment :( more frustration. Interestingly fasthostingdiret's main page is unresponsive too! maybe they host with 123? if that's the case I'm outta the cauldron into the fire. 123 are owned by a co that own heart and a load of others.

If you lose your password, you lose your website.
The forgot password link doesn't work and it's impossible to contact the support, I started to think noone is working there anymore.
My personal suggestion is to stay away from this service.
Good Price, Awful Communication & Unprofessional
As other reviews have already stated, you get what you pay for.
I have been with Fasthostingdirect since 2006 which until recently has been a trouble free experience. It's only been within the past 3 years that they have lapsed.
Support emails are sometimes replied to in broken English and can be quite blunt to the point of being highly unprofessional. You might not even get a reply or notification for weeks, if at all, that they have resolved issues or problems for you. This is unacceptable considering they claim on their website, "24/7 UK Support. Our UK support team have some of the quickest response times in the industry".
My gripe is for the past 3 years I have renewed my annual subscription on time as always, being notified a month ahead as usual, only to discover that each time my domain name has not been updated. I have had to contact them to do this else I risk loosing my domain name!
Considering the price and past years of hassle free service its bearable, but I really wish they would brighten up their customer relations not to mention response times!
You should look else where if your looking for a half decent hosting company despite the temptation of the price. After all these years I have finally decided to move on and I will not be using or recommending them again.
2 years of excellent service and support
The services and support provided by FastHostingDirect are second to none. We have two no limits hosting accounts with them and have found them to be exceptional value for money and extremely reliable. On the few occasions I have needed support, this has been provided within only a few hours and has been very clear and helpful (not a single word of geek-speak used). A big thumbs up to FHD Support.
Cheap but you get what you pay for!
Worst hosting support i have ever had the misfortune to deal with, they are in broken english and you have to guess most of the time what they are on about as it mainly not relevent to your questions. The use of 'unlimited' in there package title is very misleading too, i have had 3 emails from them saying i am over bandwidth, cpu load and/or hosting material that is available elsewhere on the web (video's mainly) I have reconstructed my websites twice to accomadate there demands which were never pointed out at any time prior to them shuting down my site. I will now move from them but have clients which depend on the sites and will struggle to find them a new host quicky and easily but i have to get away from the poor service they offer.
Do not use them please, you will regret it... I did!
