FastSpring was a great company for handling the sale of digital products until a few years ago when it was bought out. Now the new owners have become greedy & want to charge sellers who use them $150 per year to "verify" they are who they say they are. Pretty crazy! Don't use them - find someone else to sell your digital products.
ADDENDUM: They accepted and processed an order for one of my products in May and still have not paid me (it is now July 9 - long past the time payment should have been made). They have also blocked my account from editing my products at FastSpring or reaching support. If you have looked at other comments on this website, you will see that close to half rate FastSpring as a 1-star company. So don't be fooled even if you have great service from them - you cannot count on it to continue.

I pre-ordered a genealogy program...months ago! In the meantime...my email changed...and the notice that it was now available as well as the avialability to download it wasn't there! When I learned that the program was now ready...and a few messages back and forth with the FastSpring staff, my order was located and they helped to get my new email attached to the order. I was able to down load this order safely today and totally appreciate the kindess and patience of several people (at least: Alexander, Douglas S. and Mia) in answering my messages and helping find this order! Each of these messages were responded to PROMPTLY! For a "tad", I wondered if I had ordered from a bogus company. NOT SO! THANK YOU!
Couldn't access my Steinberg account due to 2FA issues. Contacted Fastspring and they took 3 days to get back with useless advice. I replied, explaining further. They didn't reply to that email. They then sent an email saying that they had tried to email me but couldn't (weird eh?) I replied again. They didn't respond. They then sent me a review questionnaire which I accidentally clicked 5 stars. Fortunately that has allowed me to post publicly here.I wrote to them explaining the 5 star review was an error. They haven't replied to that either.
Edit: Some respect to the person at Fastspring who picked up my complaint and dealt with it, everything worked perfectly after that. Thank you! I've added a star!

My first experience with FastSpring went well, considering that the only option to communicate with them is by e-mail, that normally does not go well with a lot of online e-commerce companies I asked for a refund and attached the invoice the next day I got an e-mail with a new invoice for the refund and a note saying they where happy to help and if there was anything else they could help with, the refund showed up on my statement within the next two days. That showed me that they can be trusted and care about there customers.
A relatively complex problem was solved promptly and professionally.
GetProspect has been extremely impressed with FastSpring’s payment gate. Their support team resolves tickets incredibly fast, making our experience seamless and hassle-free. Highly recommended!
It looks like fastspring is selling crédit card information and then telling you it’s not working.
My bank had to make new accounts and crédit cards a few times after using their platform as third-party payment provider.
They are scammers.

I have been charged three times by FastSpring since 3/22/25 for a single monthly subscription. The first charge was on 3/22/25 at 2:16 pm for $108.74. This was the normal monthly charge. Then I was charged again on 3/22/25 at 3:10 pm another $108.74 for the same subscription. A few days later on 3/30/25 at 5:46 pm I was again charged $108.74 for the same subscription.
I have opened disputes with PayPal, Bright Market dba FastSpring and with Avid. PayPal and Bright Market told me to contact Avid, who told me to contact Bright Market and PayPal. The only response I have gotten was from Fast Spring when I gave them a bad review on Trust Pilot. They asked for more information to verify my identity, which I had already given them - but have done nothing to resolve the issue. Meanwhile, I had not received a refund for the two erroneous charges ($108.74 x 2 = $217.48).
On 4/1/25 PayPal notified me that I would be getting a refund of $108.74 for the second charge (3/22/25 at 3:10 pm). This leaves me still owed a refund of $108.74 for the third charge (3/30/25 at 2:07 pm). There was an open dispute at PayPal for this charge. I contacted Bright Market and Avid about it as well.
On 4/7/25 PayPal notified me that my dispute was denied and I am appealing that decision, sending them a screen shot with the three transactions attached. While there was a refund for one of the two erroneous transactions, I have still been charged twice in total for the single subscription. I expect this decision to be reversed and to be issued a refund for the third charge ($108.74). Meanwhile, NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH FASTSPRING they stink.

This company such a mess. They charge me with double and tripple subscriptions and I don't even get where its coming from.Cant manuell cancel it. DONT EVEN GET RECEIPES AND CONFIRMATIONS. SUPPORT A MESS TOO. NEVER EVER !!! Lost so much time on that

They do not support new businesses. They are not supporting business, which are supported by Stripe and PayPal. Wasted my time when I literally explained them my business in the first email.
