Borealis Fat Bikes Reviews 

As a company, I do not trust Borealis fat bikes. They also make products like hubs, wheels ect. These products are not comparable to other brands. And when you need to service them, they will not provide any documentation about how they work. Very poor company.

Awesome fat bike - handles wonderfully and is light and fast. Steve and his crew are great to work with and were very helpful with the few questions I had.
One minor issue: I wish the seat stays would indent a bit. I occasionally bump my calf on them.
Other than that - fantastic fat bike!

Love the bike and you will too!

I’ve been an avid mountainbiker for 30+ years and in the fall of 2018 decided to check into the fat biking world. When I initially called Borealis, I spoke to Steve who I believe is the owner. I had a lot of questions about Borealis bikes and fat biking in general and Steve was more than happy to take the time to answer my questions. I called him multiple times with many more questions and he never once made me feel as though I was bothering him or wasting his time. This went on for a couple of months while I also researched other bikes. I decided on a Crestone carbon frame that I absolutely LOVE!! My riding season in Utah has been extended to year round! Very pleased with my Borealis fat bike and even more so with the customer service.

I ride a Yampa and love it. Far more versatile than expected. I ride it year round here in Breckenridge, on snow packed trails in winter and single track in summer. Hard to choose between my Yeti Big Top and my Yampa for fun ride. Surprisingly nimble and bomber at the same time.

Awesome bikes and great company. Bikes are as described and company operates like a startup with a love for the sport. Highly recommend to anyone considering a fatbike

Great experience working with Borealis directly and love the Flume bike I bought.

My Echo has been flawless, only issue has been the Sram brakes, but I've never had any Sram brake work very well.

I purchased a Borealis Flume from fatbikes.com in March 2018. Excellent bike for the money. Outperformed other fatbikes in the same price range without question. I was especially impressed with with the quality of the Borealis house brand ftd wheels, and all house brand components really. I lived the geometry of the bike. Lightweight yet very durable. I would not hesitate to buy another Borealis bike.

I have purchased 3 bikes from this company, they are easy to work with, fair, and very helpful. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.

The Borealis Crestone Rules
I ride a Crestone bike (carbon fiber frame) that's been my go-to year-round mountain bike for the past two years. I've been mountain biking in Colorado for almost 10 years. I have the bike set up with racing tires (skinny for a fat-bike) and I usually run pretty high air pressure (23 or more psi). The bike is light, fast, fantastically grippy in skree (loose gravel), the bane of all Colorado riders, mud, sand, and snow. Ice is still ice... My setup is fast! However, it also puts a little more rubber on the ground than a regular mountain bike affording me a bit more grip and stability. On tough technical trails I'm glad to have the extra grip; on easier trails I feel as fast as anyone else. Advantage Borealis Crestone!

I purchased a Crestone and a Flumbe as kits that were shipped to my place in SW Georgia. The packaging on both bikes was exceptional. The bikes were preassembled at the factory and then disassembled for shipment. They went together smoothly, although I did have problems with getting the correct tubeless sealant into the tires. It would have been nice if the kit came with the sealant. We have about 500 miles on each, and no issues. Great rides!!!!

I purchased the echoe with bluto forks. It is the best fun I have ever experienced on a bike or indeed snow. The real bonus is that it takes 29inch wheels for summer trail riding, handles so so well. A point and shoot bike, taking anything in its stride. The team at Fatbike we also so supportive when I ordered my summer wheels. A truly year round bike!

Have had my Flume for a few years now and still love it! Compared a lot of other brands and after talking with the owner of the company I choose Borealis. Great Bike!

I've had my Flume for just over 3 years now. It's the longest I've kept a mountain bike. It's perfect for winter riding here in Michigan and I also ride it on occasion during the summer months for a change of pace. I've had no maintenance issues over this time frame and the only thing I've replaced is the chain after the salt spray from the hitch bike rack took it's toll. I highly recommend the Borealis Flume if you are in the market for a fatbike.
