The Throw Company Reviews 

They used to be fantastic but now I fear they are at huge risk of folding, possibly with our money! I would love the directors of the company to wake up and redeem themselves. I realise Pat is poorly and like others, I've had the long email about that from her but having spent a lot of money on large samples only to have difficulties discussing what I want to buy, I am nowhere. I can't just order what's on the website because I want a faux suede backing (not on the menu for Tissavel Blush). It is such a shame. Sincerely, I hope the company eventually survives and thrives.

Like others, I had a wonderful experience in the past, sent some things back for exchange, months ago.

The only information I have is that Pat, I think the owner, had been in hospital with sepsis. She sent me a text message, perhaps six months ago, apologising and saying that her alterations lady was going to see to my requirements the following week. I've not heard anything since.......

*I have received a call from them - she has been in hospital and only just catching up with orders. Many items sold out. She has offered alternatives.*

Like other customers I have ordered in the past and been very impressed with quality and delivery. My order has not arrived. I have tried calling and emailing.

It pains me to say this but I am also one of the unhappy customers unable to get any response. I have been buying from The Throw Company for years and have always been delighted with the items and had outstanding service from them. Until now. Early last month (April) I received an email offering half price on everything they sell so I made a fairly large order of fabric to stock up as it seemed too good an offer to pass up on. Too good to be true I suppose and indeed it proved to be for when I received my order I found it missing nearly thirty pounds worth of items, in particular two large pieces of fabric. What I did receive seemed to have been packed hurriedly as it was all squashed into a small parcel bag, with none of the usual care and attention in the packaging there used to be with them. The order took over a week to be sent out too which was most unusual with them, all my previous orders were sent extremely quickly, normally within a day or so. I have tried phoning and emailing repeatedly but there is no response whatsoever. I have had to buy alternative fabric and have lost £30 worth of material but having read other reviews at least I did receive some of my items so it looks like I've been luckier than some and I'm grateful for that! I'm not sure what has happened here but I'm saddened that such a previously great company has seemingly gone downhill so suddenly. There is nothing on the website to suggest any issues or problems whatsoever. I bought regularly from them as their fur fabric was second to none and would have continued to do so for the future but I'm very sorry to say I won't be doing so now as I'll be too worried it will be missing things again or if it would even arrive at all with no way to get in touch with them.

I am really sad to be writing this but I am unfortunately very disappointed and wish I had looked elsewhere for my fur. My experience is very similar to the review below, and if it is the case that the company is folding then I am sorry to hear that but with no communication it has been completely detrimental to my project.
I was recommended the company by my university and tutors from the industry to use on my final costume. I ordered some samples and when I went to purchase the fur I wanted they actually didn't sell it as fabric anymore. Instead, I ordered some scarves and I did receive these though with very little updates they just sort of arrived out of the blue one day (quite stressful for those of us operating under strict deadlines).
I kick myself for it now, but after being sent an email about a great sale on their site I decided to return the order so that I could buy them in bigger bulk and for cheaper. Since this return, and the placing of a new order, there has been only radio silence on their end. I thought it would take about a week to arrive as the last took about that time, but all I know about the order is 'standard uk shipping' and no tracking number. Already the communication was limited but now it is non existent (apart from a single automated order receipt). I was able to call no problem before (I arranged the return over the phone) however, now i have no replies to my emails and nobody picks up the phone.
I'm hoping this review will finally help me receive some sort of response. But 4 days from my submission, I am having to try and find a plan B. I am really upset, especially with all the money spent with nothing to show for it. It has been an unnecessary stress and I hate that my final project has been put on the line because of it. Maybe it will show up in some miracle over the weekend, but I will be telling my tutors to stop recommending purchasing from here if this is to be the case.

Purchased a throw on 8 December 2023. Received one email on the same day confirming the order. It’s over a month later on 9 January 2024. Received no communication whatsoever from the company with regards to the order, despite me emailing, chasing a response. Tried calling and it just goes through to voicemail. Left messages, but still no response. I suspect this company is folding and strongly advise you to avoid buying anything from them.

I am absolutely delighted with the Throw Company! The Artic Fox throw is just stunning. Dense soft warm fur, just luxurious and doesnt shed one hair. Superior quality.

The customer service I was given when I was worried the throw wouldn't arrive in time for Xmas was just amazing! Cait and Sam wrote emails explaining every step they took to try and assist me. AND it arrived on the island on time.Considering all the post strikes...they really did pull out all the stops and i believe paid double the postage to get it to me in time, and I can't thank them enough.

I am just thrilled and delighted.

Having paid £5 postage and received gloves that were enormous I could fit two hands in one glove. Not fit for purpose. Returns are paid for by customers and it’s so difficult as to deter returns. Don’t bother taking a chance on purchases with this company

I purchased a double sided throw for the couch and am very pleased with it. The quality is so good. It is heavy, thick and very luxurious. The colours and texture of the throw have really enhanced my leather couch and it's lovely to have something beautiful, warm and tactile to snuggle in of an evening. I ordered on a Friday, normal delivery selected, and it was delivered the next morning and beautifully packaged. Communication regarding delivery time was excellent. Wish all online shopping experiences could be like this. Incidentally, I am not someone who gives reviews often and I have not had a request for one yet, I'm so impressed with this company that I am volunteering one.

I was looking for a double-sided throw without much success until I found these guys. The range is awesome and the throw I ordered is better than I hoped for - a great size and excellent value for money compared with high street retailers. The throw is for me, but I'll have a hard time getting my cats to let it go as they think it's real.

Delivery was swift and communications were excellent. Highly recommended for quality of product and service.
