Excellent

I love how Faxsalad doesn't try to be something it's not. In a world of annoying companies doing annoying things, they just do what it says on the tin, and very affordably.

You just upload your documents, enter the number, and pay a fraction of a dollar. It almost makes me wish I had more things in need of faxing!

Didn't work

Tried to receive a fax from the ATO and it didn't work.

I was later told the reason for this is that they take 48 hours to activate the fax for Australians, but I don't have time to read shit.

All new Australian numbers take up to 48 hours to activate. This is clearly stated when purchasing. Unfortunately, your number is still pending activation. Once activated, you will be able to recieve a fax.

Great price for pay-as-you go fax

There are a few totally free fax services available, but typically limited to 3 pages or so. I had four 18 page documents to send, and faxsalad.com showed the lowest fax pay-as-you-go price I was able to find.

I signed up easily, submitted my documents without a hitch, and payment was taken only after transmission started - no funny stuff anywhere, and I received confirmation from the recipient that everything was received. Highly recommended.

I LOVE FaxSalad

I only used this service a handful of times to send IRS related fax forms. Faxes were sent within 1-2 minutes, no delays/issues whatsoever. This service is saving me headaches and hassle especially because I’m from a foreign country and I reckon that sending a fax in my country already is complicated, let alone send it to another country. The app also can send you a Delivered confirm via email.
PROS
-Easy to browse and Fast interface
-Very cheap to use (Pay to Use is actually very convenient if you don’t want to purchase a subscription
-Quite Reliable, does actually send faxes in a timely matter
-Ability to buy fax numbers
CONS
-Top Up Fee minimum amount could be lower than 5$ in case someone just needs to use it once.
Thanks to the FaxSalad team for this lifesaving service, you got my respect!
-Tony

Faxsalad service leaves a lot to be desired

I cannot give less than 1 star but I would if I could. I needed to send an important fax which had to be sent and received by a specific time. I signed up to Faxsalad and paid into an account on their website to cover cost. All good so far. Scanned my documents, uploaded them to Faxsalad and hit send. Almost immediately it says my fax failed to send. I sent them a message about the failure and got a response saying someone would get back to me within 24 hours. The fax needed to be there right away so now I have no option but to drive to Office Depot in town and send the fax from there, something I was trying to avoid by using an online service. Faxsalad got back to me the next day saying that they had network problems and couldn't send the fax and to try later. Needless to say I was frustrated and annoyed, since this was a time sensitive fax and I had to go elsewhere to send it. I sent them the following message.....

My faxes are still sitting and showing failed delivery . Have to say I’m not impressed with Faxsalad. Took my money and got nothing. I need this fax sent so I’ll go to another provider if you guys can’t get it together. Unbelievable. A message telling me you have problems with the system doesn’t solve the problem. If you knew there were issues then why did you take my money?

Obviously a frustrated response but certainly not toxic or rude. I just received their response to this message as follows....

Rhys Hall (FaxSalad
Hey S,
You need to resend the fax. The initial faxes have failed due to the service disruption, and we cannot resend these for you, as your documents are unavailable to us for privacy.
For the record, service outages happen to every provider. It is unavoidable. I understand this has caused an inconvenience and frustration for you, but look, we don't really tolerate irrational and toxic behavior, especially given the volatility of the telecommunications industry. So I have gone ahead and refunded all charges back to your card. I suggest you use another provider.
Kind Regards
Rhys Hall

So they accused me of being irrational and toxic because they were unable to provide the service I paid for. Yes, they refunded my money. It was a minimal amount and wasn't the issue, rather it was their failure of service. Frankly, any service business would be embarrassed for not being able to provide the service they advertise but this guy blames it on an outage, which I find extremely hard to believe, and had I not sternly complained he probably would not have refunded my money. Something he should have done immediately when he could not provide the service. To add insult to injury he then accuses me of toxic and irrational behavior. Had he not done that, I would have let the matter drop. I will never use these guys again and I urge you to be aware of how they operate.
. .
*********See this guys response to my review below****** Telling me I need a reality check. Really? They failed to provide service and responded to complaints by calling their customer toxic. Insulting your customers only shows your arrogance. If you can't get the job done and provide the service on something as simple as sending a fax you shouldn't be in business. Provide the service and stop making excuses for your failures. I don't care if you had problems with systems. You failed to do what you took my money to do. Your response below doesn't do you any favors with future customers. You are the one who might want to rethink the way you talk to your customers.

Hey Stan,

Your first correspondence and the following responses where all unnecessary and entitled. We offered our apologies and explained why your fax was not sent. As mentioned, we had a service outage that impacted a number of customers. It is unfortunate, and we do understand your frustration, but it happens, and when it happens we try to get it resolved as soon as possible with as little impact as possible. We responded politely to your initial response, and you fought back with no interest of working with our team to resolve your issue. In that scenario there is nothing I can do for you. Do try to remember that there are real people on this end, who are just trying to do their job. They are not responsible for outages with third-party carriers. Ensuring my team is taken care of means more to me than bowing down to entitled customers.

If you think the way you interacted with our support team is appropriate and rational, then you needed this reality check. Please consider how you talk to others in the future and best of luck to whichever small business you harass next.

Regards
Rhys
