Very poor after-care and rude
This company came to fix a problem with my roof that was causing damp in a bedroom. After a year the damp was still there. I asked them to come and look at it again. They went up on the roof, said it was fixed and that it was just the plaster drying out - so I waited and waited, and still the plaster did not dry out and the damp got worse.
After three years, with the damp now very bad, I asked them to come back and look at it in January this year. At this point they said they were too busy to look at it and they would call back. They never called back. I emailed again in the last couple of weeks. They came round, said it wouldn't be their fix that was the problem, refused to go up onto the roof for health and safety reasons, said that they would charge me for scaffolding to look at it again, then left saying that they didn't like my attitude when I expressed surprise and concern that I would have to pay for scaffolding for them even to look at the problem.
Since then, I have had another builder round who has looked at the roof, explained what the problem is, and didn't need scaffolding to go up and look at it.
There are two conclusions - either 1. they fixed the wrong thing the first time round or 2. they didn't fix the problem. Either way - I paid over £600 and nothing was sorted, and they have now said they have no interest in helping me.
I do not recommend this firm.
