Federa has shoddy and illegal business practices. Scam

My husband and I tried to purchase a home through Federa.com in Deland Florida. We tried the Service Link first and it said the auction was cancelled, this was on January 4th. So, we went through the Federa auction which started on January 5th on and we bid $200,000.00 and put down $10,000.00. The next morning on January 6th the auction ended a couple hours early. Well come to find out, the owner of that house filed bankruptcy and Federa was not legally able to even auction that house. It was a fake auction and they are still taking offers today on this house, which is illegal. There is a stay and the house can’t be sold at this time. I found this out because I’m going to try and buy the house out of bankruptcy. Federa will still let you make an offer on the house through their app. I also called and they told me I could make an offer and that it might be a long time before I get an answer on my offer. Legally they can’t accept any offers. My husband and I are still waiting for our refund of $10,000.00 and from what I’m reading, it’s hard to get your money back. I also noticed another house you can make an offer on that was sold on 11/15/25, so they can’t legally sell that house either. I will be sending this information to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. I also sent this information to the owner of the house I bid on as well as his lawyer. I may hire a lawyer of my own to sue. Companies like this cannot be allowed to continue scamming people.

If I could give negative stars I would

If I could give negative stars I would. DO NOT EVER give your money to this fake app/site. I've contacted Zillow, BBB, FTC, Attorney Generals, DBPR, the actual police, lawyers, etc. and FINALLY got my refund back over 3 months later (where their terms state "up to 30 days"). I contacted nearly every day without ever getting a hold of anyone at the company. They lied to the BBB twice saying it was sent and then fell silent to them too. It was a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE. I lost hundreds of dollars I would have otherwise accrued in interest. They need to be shut down, period. Artin Afsharjavan is a scam artist. I feel sorry for the people who don't have the time to harass them like I had to. STAY FAR FAR AWAY

Refund Processing

Refund Processing: Company states it may take up to 30 days to receive deposits back after auction failures, but I am still waiting on mid-November 2025 refunds with nothing but generic chat bot responses stating no change, conversations that continue to ensure it will happen within days, and emails stating it's already processed.
In general, the website is very basic and does not work as well as the county auction site so would NOT recommend using them all.
1/24/2026: I requested refunds on 11/18 and 11/26 and they are still pending approval from Federa.
2/28/2026: Still 0 refund received.
Don't believe their false reply.

My experience has been very negative…

My experience has been very negative with Federa. I wouldn’t recommend. I made deposits for Bids in AUGUST. I have requested refunds to no avail. I disputed transactions- got 1 removed. Still have one on my bank card for $3090.00. Chat representative says on Dec 3rd that my refund is now pending. It could be 7-10 business days- up to 30days. I am watching my bank. Meanwhile I am piling up finance charge on my card- 4 months worth. PLEASE- FEDERA-GIVE ME MY REFUND ALREADY!

absolute SCAM

They are not refunding my money. They say the refund has been fully processed but it is a lie. It has not. They don't refund the money. I have FBI and Customer Bureau reports and they will go after Federa. To federa: you seem to read reviews, so for God sake, please refund my money.

Been waiting over 30 days for a refund

Been waiting over 30 days for a refund, over 30 days. A horse and buggy could've delivered this in 1890 quicker. This company is a joke. 1 Star, refund me and I might update the review.

Filled a BBB review, called them, emailed them, messaged them on the app.
Uffffffffffffff, such a bad experience.

That moment you realize they're using everyone else's money to make money. Imagine if you will you deposit $1,000 at 30 day return to you with an interest rate of let's guess 5%, they just made $50 by your money working for them instead of working for you. Also, it only took a bad review to finally get noticed... If the below explanation was all it was, why did they block me from there app? That's just bad business practice all around.

***Received my refund finally, day 42... Lesson learned the hard way. Never ever doing this again with this company***

Federa Scam

I deposited $250 on 11/10/25 and then asked for a refund after not bidding on a real estate auction. Federa has not refunded my money despite saying they will. Per the Better Business Bureau website, this has happened to many people and they have not got their money back.

This is the worst auction company

This is the worst auction company I ever heard of.
You have no way to track multiple items bid at the same time in the same place.
They take the maximum time refunding your money.
I may have to sue to get my $40,000 back.
The minimum bid price is hidden
You do not know who you are bidding against.
You are not allowed to put in a maximum bid amount but have to wait for someone to outbid you before you can raise your bid.
Auctions are not ended on time but can be constantly extended.

I really want to give them 5 stars only because Alex was really good and responding to my questions and allowing me to feel heard... but with all the reviews online that were negative the complaince thing started sounding like complete BS... I accidentally did a top up of $5k, it got into the account 10/02 and I finally got a refund today after contacting them daily... today js 10/28... the complaince thing seems like BS & the finance department also comes off as BS because you never get correspondence from them... only from Emma and Alex...
