I wouldn't have bothered with this, but twice from the same company screwing up is begging for a rebut. I get here and see that I'm not alone. The only reason that Fedex is getting any business at all that I can see is because of the situation with the Post office...I ordered from a company i use constantly, and usually get great service from Canada Post, but this time it was Fedex...what a sad joke they are. I waited for two days, they said the parcel would be delivered. I finally left my apaartment to check my mail box. There was a tag on the door saying sorry we missed you. No one knocked, just left the tag...why? Now I have to go to a local business that serves as a depot for their screw-ups. I am partially disabled, so have a harder time than most going out to get things that I already paid to be shipped to my door. This is the second time this has happened. This company is beyond useless.
Poor Communication, Mistakes, and No Accountability
I was expecting a high-value package and wanted to make sure it wouldn’t be left unattended. When I checked the FedEx app, there was no clear information about whether a signature was required. Because the item was expensive, I called customer service to confirm. I was told the package did not require a signature and would be left at my building if I wasn’t home.
To be safe, I requested to have the package held for pick-up. However, the next morning, I received a message saying the package does require a signature and is on its way. Confused, I called FedEx again. The representative was surprised I had been told otherwise and confirmed the previous information was incorrect. She said it was too late to make any changes because the request to hold the package for pick-up had already been processed. A complaint was opened, but she told me nothing else could be done at that time.
Shortly after, I received a message that my package was being held for pick-up. Since this was unclear, I made another call just to better understand what that meant and what to expect. The representative I spoke to during that call genuinely tried to help. He made multiple attempts to reach the FedEx center to confirm whether they even had my package, but he couldn’t get any answers — and it didn’t show up in his system either. Even he couldn’t verify where my package actually was.
It was only during a later call that I finally got an answer: the package was still at the main sorting center, and the label for pick-up had not yet been changed. I was told I needed to wait 24 to 48 hours for that to happen. I asked if, since the label hadn’t been updated and the package was still at the facility, it could be delivered to my home instead — especially since this situation was caused by FedEx’s mistake. I was told no. Even with all the confusion and miscommunication, there was no effort to collaborate or find a practical solution. I was also informed that if I tried to change the delivery again, I would have to wait another 24 to 48 hours.
So far, I’ve made multiple calls, opened a complaint, and spent time chasing down basic information — all because of an error that wasn’t mine. I still don’t have my package or a clear timeline for when I’ll receive it.
This has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience, especially for a high-value delivery. FedEx’s poor internal communication, rigid systems, and lack of accountability have made this one of the worst shipping experiences I’ve dealt with.
Extremely unprofessional service
Package showed as delivered and signed for (and the person showing as signed for was no one at the property!!) 2 hours prior to it actually arriving. This caused a lot of effort and stress on everyone trying to figure out where it was in the building, when it wasn't even at the building yet.
Inquiries to Fedex were all responded to as 'wait for us to investigate'.
Why pay EXTRA for signature, insurance, verified delivery and specific time delivery when you are going to leave your customer in the lurch like that?
In the end the parcel arrived and was only 15 minutes beyond the promised time, but this experience was very poor.
The delivery person reported that it was 'normal' for it to show as delivered and signed for before it arrived and the local delivery was still in progress at that time. That seems ridiculous and also a security risk that the package could be stolen when I specifically set it up to be signed for only by an adult at the delivery property.
No apologies or follow up from Fedex at all. They just closed my case. Fedex may be the only option with this speed of delivery, but that doesn't make it a good option, or the service worth the money.

I don't want to give any stars fedex is by far the worse company for deliveries. They have consistently messed up my deliveries to wrong addresses. Having a awful time having them pick up my last order that is 2 heavy boxes of wire shelving and bring it to my home where it was supposed to be delivered to. I have a shoulder injury so I don't want to wrestle the boxes trying to pick up from the depot they had my home address. 4 days of phone calls today to get nowhere with fedex but more frustrated. They lie they tell you somone will call you they told me twice now my boxes would be delivered I still have no updates no deliveries. Asked to speak to a supervisor was told I couldn't hold cause all their lines were full of other calls waiting to speak with a supervisor now what does that tell you. I'm gonna stop ordering from any company that uses fedex for deliveries and I'm going to start telling these companies why I won't order from them.

I would have selected zero stars if I could. I spoke to two agents and two supervisors simply to cancel a pick up for the next day and I will call back to reschedule the next week. Apparently that was too complicated a request since NONE of the 4 people I talked to were trained properly. The last agent and supervisor swore the pick up was cancelled so I thought everything was good until I got notification that they picked up the packages when the pick up should have been cancelled as they said. By far THE WORST customer service agents. It’s bad enough that there’s a language barrier with most that you get connected with. It’s even more difficult when no one knows what they’re doing and speak in a condescending tone to THE CUSTOMER. Wasted 2 hours of my time dealing with incompetent people. Be very careful if you decide to ship with this terrible service.

I have been waiting for my package for 5 business days, I have called FedEx every single day. I wrote on the instructions that my buzzer is broken and to please call - FedEx customer services says their drivers are not equipped with phones.

Multiple phone calls before 9 am
Owed duties on a package no problem I will pay it the problem comes when I get the first call at 8am (I have a baby that doesn’t sleep through the night so I am still asleep ) then continue to get calls and voicemails every 10-15 mins after that with an automated message . I get the initial call and the reminder call but 4 calls in an hour is absolutely ridiculous especially before 9am .

This company is a joke. All international packages to Canada are shipped to Canada. Then shipped to Tenn. USA then shipped back to Canada. Now with duty attached which FedEx expects me to pay. I have received other packages from same sender with a different shipping service with no duty charges. I tried to tell FedEx rep.about my not ever going to pay for duty charges. He said I could file a complaint to an address that he spelt out, I told him that I wasn’t going to get a pencil and paper to write this down, he could email it to me. He said they weren’t setup to send email. What century are these clowns in? This company sucks big time!!! I say again these idiots will never get the duty they created.
Worthless company
Worthless company. They are above as effective as Canada post. You will look at the tracking and it is making good progress, then it ends up being stuck in a city for 24 hours, then it is picked up and the same wash, rinse, repeat process continues. It will eventually arrive on time for them, but late for you. They will give you a delivery time so you can sit at home and waste your time. Then they send in a woman who is 100 lbs soak and wet to handle a package that is her weight but awkward to handle. It's basically the same inefficient giant corporate system that most delivery companies employ and they probably make money hand over fist on your lack of choice for courriers.

If there was a zero....twice on a truck and not delivered. Claimed they had the wrong address...BS. The problem is that the drivers don't buy into the company's mission statement. They will only do the minimum. No call. No email. Zero outreach. The post office is better.
Update. Now on the truck 3 times and delivery was cancelled midday. They have no idea or just don't care about the problems this creates for customers. Rating -1
FedEx Won't Come Through For You
I order delivery from various companies due to mobility issues approximately every 2-3 days.
The only courier that will not make the delivery is FedEx. My building does not have a callbox so delivery people need to knock or call upon arrival.
FedEx drivers are not allowed to. They will write, " I didn't have my cell :( "
on the slip sometimes. It doesn't matter if I leave a signed authorization to leave the parcel at the door, which other couriers will accept.
When calling the pickup location the employees are generally quite rude. I can no longer ask anyone to go pick the parcels up for me as the employees are so awful to customers that people won't deal with FedEx on my behalf anymore.
As soon as I see FedEx has my parcel I know that I will never receive it. Weeks to wait for refund also because they are too incompetent to send the package BACK to the seller without the company becoming involved.
Total waste of time and money. It is the only delivery service who will not deliver to me.
FedEx Was A No Show
I received an email from FedEx yesterday that my ”shipment is scheduled for delivery tomorrow” meaning it would arrive today, February 13. I waited at home ALL DAY as a signature was required but nothing was delivered and forget trying to get any answers on the phone because their Bot/AI would not let me speak to a human being. I was also expecting a shipment from Purolator and it arrived on the date promised. The only issue there was that the delivery guy did not ring the bell or knock on the door so the equipment was frozen when I finally noticed it sitting outside and I had to wait for it to thaw before I could connect it but at least they showed up.
Exceptionally bad service
Exceptionally bad service from Fedex! I asked the Fedex Customer Rep to deliver the item (piece of furniture) inside the house as we can't carry the furniture inside and they threw it by the door.
Fed Ex is the worst of the worst
Ordered a new phone from Fido. They got it out of their warehouse immediately. It arrived in Red Deer on the 20th of January. Sent for delivery on the 21st, find a DT telling me to pick it up. It’s on Burnt Park Drive. It is not even in Red Deer, it’s in Red Deer County. I don’t drive. So I call and William says I have to pick it up. I refuse, he hangs up on me. So now it’s game on. So I call Wednesday the 22 and it says my package has been delayed. To arrive on 23rd. By this time I have called customer service 5 times. I request a call 5-10 minutes before delivery in case my buzzer is not working. Again 5 times they assure me A CALL WILL BE PLACED. 23rd arrives, no call, just another DT. Call customer service again, once more I am told they will CALL. DOESN’T HAPPEN. Call again and get recording that it will arrive Friday, no show, half way through the day, I call again and now it delayed. Then comes Monday the 27th, I am still waiting for a call from a customer service SUPERVISOR AGAIN. Then I receive a call from a lady at Burnt Park stating they had tried again yesterday. She didn’t like my attitude. So she threatened me, and said if I don’t ask nicely she will send it back to Fido. I tell her I don’t drive again, information I have given over 5 times. Yesterday I had told customer service I would file a complaint by 16:00 if it doesn’t arrive. So prior to 16:00 sharp, my downstairs neighbour and I wait at door of our building, now past 16:00 we go upstairs. Apparently he tried to deliver it at sometime AFTER 16:00 as the driver put no time on the DT, because knew the deadline was 16:00. So the lady this morning says drivers don’t carry company phones, it is done by computer in their trucks. I almost laughed. As a retired Calgary Transit Operator, when we have a question or problem, we hit a button to transmit and they load the info onto our CAD. However control and dispatch can place a call to us to help assist what we are dealing with. So Fed Ex has to be in contact with the depot, they could transmit to the request and call from the depot after the driver keys in his request. I was born at night but not last night. I had back surgery and will not be able to pick up Anyhow, I just called Fed Ex again and it states my phone is to be delivered before 20:00 laughable. It is supposedly being sent to downtown depot, which is actually in Red Deer City limits lol, they have no idea how to conduct their business. Remember Fed Ex employees WE PAY YOUR WAGES……. So at this point I have called the ombudsman in Alberta, BBB, FIDO, and Global TV, their piece is ready, we are now court to this afternoon to file a civil complaint. Done with Fed Ex, so happy when my cuz came by and said, all of our companies stopped using Fed Ex last year. Customer service lied 5 times……..so now I am filing a claim with you Fed Ex for my $3000 dollar undelivered iPhone. Again I just had procedures on my back from my neurologist. This is absolutely ridiculous, disgusting, appalling customer service to say the least. Have a great day Fed Ex. I will be more than happy to show you my call log. This unpleasant experience STARTED ON JANUARY 21 & IS STILL CONTINUING ON JANUARY 28th. Excellent service NOT

FED EX ARE CROOKS. THEY CALL INTO THE OFFICE FOR PAYMENT OF DUTIES AND TAXES FOR A PACKAGE FROM CHINA. THEY DROP IT OFF AND SAY WE OWE THE SAME DUTIES AND TAXES TWICE. EXACT SAME AMOUNT. I TOLD THE DRIVER WE PAID AND HE SAID HE WAS NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE PACKAGE UNLESS WE PAID AGAIN?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE CROOKS? NOW I HAD TO CALL IN, FILE A COMPLAINT AND WASTE MORE OF MY TIME. 1st fedex envelope went MIA 2nd envelope delivered in driveway
FedEx delivered an envelope in my driveway, right in front of my garage, during windy, snowy conditions. My front or side door was literally just five steps away. To make matters worse, the delivery photo on the FedEx site clearly shows the package's location, confirming it was left in an exposed and inconvenient spot. It was a small, lightweight envelope that could have easily been placed at the doorstep. The driver’s decision not to take a few extra steps to ensure proper delivery feels like pure laziness and lack of care. Disappointed with this experience considering Fedex lost my first delivery, this was the second delivery made by my insurance company. Who leaves an envelope at the end of someones garage where its likely to either blow away or get ran over by vehicles? Do better Fedex.
