Read your T&Cs! We were refused rental because we were over 60 mins late due to the queue for passport control!! What’s more, they kept all the money with no chance of recovery!!

Avoid Felirent – attempted to charge €42 without reason
We rented a car from Felirent (Milan branch) via DoYouItaly during the New Year’s holiday. The rental went smoothly, or so we thought — until April 7th, when out of nowhere, the company attempted to charge €42 to our credit card without any explanation or prior notice.
No email. No invoice. No communication whatsoever.
Luckily, our bank blocked the transaction. Had it gone through, we’d have been charged for something we still have no clue about.
This is shady, unacceptable behavior. It’s disgraceful that a company would try to sneak in hidden charges months after a completed rental, hoping no one notices. I strongly warn others to stay away from Felirent — there are plenty of more trustworthy options out there.

Great experience with this place. Was a bit difficult to find the shuttle service but we were explained to go to departures and was picked up quite quickly. Staff were friendly and takes about 8min to arrive in shuttle to the car rental office. No complaints at all and will use this company again when we come to Milan

They are showing one thing in the contract and after signature they are adding few extra payment positions at the top of that not informing You. Cheaters and theves.

Extra charges 3 months after returning the cars even though the white sheet states 30 days policy of preauthorization of the debit card. Stay away.
Lazy, sloppy and never responding
Having had already trouble with this company (see review on Tripadvisor) they added another disappointment.
After they received a fine ticket from the municipality of Bergamo on the 28th of January 2025 for me, entering a restricted area in the old town, it took them almost 2 months to inform me about the incident. Now I have to pay three times more rather than forwarding the ticket immediately to safe money with a swift payment. And for that lousy service and sloppy work they deducted „automatically“ another 42 Euro from my credit card. Shame on them and their greediness.

It was a very unpleasant and expensive experience; already on arrival, waiting at gate 6 of Malpensa, I’ve been waiting for the shuttle that came to pick us up us more than 40 minutes in the rain and after calling the office twice, a grumpy driver appeared, driving like a madman.
The delivery was just acceptable, but the car was dirty and had scratches and scrapes everywhere; I had to check it in the rain and take pictures of the car, what I could see in the rain? The check-out was horrible, the treatment was very awful, I was treated like a criminal. A women searching for scratches or damage that I could have caused to the car or were not detected at the time of withdrawal. Finally she found two front wheel covers scratched !!!??? (not visible in the photo) and a scratch on the left rear door, the employee had to repeatedly insisted with the nail to be extended and to make it more visible since nothing could be seen with the naked eye, not even in the photo; so, she had to repeat the photo and had to repeat and scratch more with her fingernail. They pretend to charge me 600€ for 2 wheel covers and an existing scratch! A shame and a scandal, a STOLEN! I will no longer rent from this thief and scoundrel!

And they don t help to solve the problem, they ask you to write to customer service.

Its an absolute circus of an operation. In the 45 minutes it took to get the car, everyone in the queue had an issue of some kind (mine was a young drivers surcharge that was "included", until it wasn't). You will be taken to the middle of nowhere and greeted by rude employees on the desk.
To top it all off, over 9 months later, I received a random bill from them on my credit card. Completely fraudulent.
They are as, if not more expensive than the other providers - don't waste your time or money with these people.

Experience totally different from reservation
I am not sure whose problem is it, Felirent or Carla rental site?! I have reserved the car to be received from the terminal and was shocked to the fact of having to pick up the car through shuttle and that Felirent does not have an in terminal pick up service. There has also been a misunderstanding regarding insurance, where i have bought the premium insurance package, and when i arrived at the rental company i discovered that this is not related to them and that i have discovered that they are not recognizing it and i had to put a deposit, as if i have no insurance cover. This has put us under severe stress all the trip and we had to take photos and videos of the whole car to prove that nothing was damaged, just in case there is a conflict upon check out. This has not happened thank God, and the staff were friendly though, specially the Egyptian staff. A final problem was, despite the fact of reserving the car with winter tires and having a voucher confirming so, the rentals company did not have it on their records and we had to wait for them to reach out to their HQ to confirm our reservation and they have thankfully given us an upgraded car with winter tires.

It was the 10th time I have rented a car with flirent. The cars are clean, and well maintained, the staff is caind and helpful. I will come again.
They charge months after the rental without any explanation
So unfortunate that 7 months after a perfect rental and receiving my deposit money back straight after I returned the car, they made a £36 charge on one of the cards they had. Completely unprofessional. Especially considering that no communication happened prior to the charge.

I rented a car in the summer and made a deposit. After I gave back the car I didn‘t receive my deposit back until I made several calls and demanded it. Now a half year later they charged me 42.70€ out of nowhere. I contacted them per email and didn’t receive and answer and on the phone they said they don’t know anything. UNBELIEVABLE!

I rented at the Bologna department 7 months ago. Now suddenly the Milano department has access to my Mastercard information and has started making withdrawals??? they withdrew the same amount 2 times before i managed to block my card.

Cagliari - No shuttle service as announced. After calling (long waited to connection) told me to go to parking house (left side before the airport, ground floor). After long waiting gave me the keys, nobody wants to go with us and control, it is not easy to find the car. Return - hard to find entry to parking house and also the way to third level. Again, long waiting and then nobody wants to control returned car and confirm if everything is OK. When I was home, deposit was released but minus 25 EUR - reason - car was dirty.... It is not true, because I returned the car cleaner then I picked up it. Felirent didn´t answer. That´s why I made complaint via my bank, 5 months later (my bank or Mastercard) returned 25 EUR. Really not recommend Felirent, I will never use, I hate this behavior.

Felirent's business model is different from traditional car rental companies. They only tell you the true cost of your Felirent when you return the car!!!!! Assuming that your flight is within a few of hours, they will find a tiny scratch on your wheel or something that existed before and then charge you a replacement cost! Terrible and would not recommend it by any means. Terrible Customer Service. Really bad experience. So please AVOID Felirent at any costs! The worst company ever!!! It’s an actual scam.
