I recently had a coaching session with Daniel Williams

I recently had a coaching session with Daniel Williams from Fiction Profits Academy, and I came away feeling energized and much more confident about moving forward with my writing.

Daniel took the time to understand where I am in my writing journey and offered practical, actionable ideas that I can start using right away. He didn't just give generic advice—he tailored his suggestions to my goals and helped me see new possibilities for developing my work and moving toward publication.

What impressed me most was his professionalism, encouragement, and genuine interest in helping me succeed. The session was informative, motivating, and well worth the time.

If you're looking for someone who can provide clear direction, creative insight, and encouragement as you develop your writing career, I would definitely recommend working with Daniel Williams and Fiction Profits Academy.

I had my first one-on-one call with Jamie

I had my first one-on-one call with Jamie. I was having some issues with authenticating my domain on MailerLite. She walked me through the process and within a few minutes it was good to go! She answered all my questions and by the end of the call, I had a much better understanding of the process from creating books to building my email list. Excellent customer service!

Great Coach

Coach Daniel is very honest and patient. He gave me the feedback I needed to help me write a blurb to capture the attention of my audience. He was also patient with me as I worked through each draft.

The follow up with the coaches is amazing. All have been patience even with the seemingly basic kind of questions, understanding we are all coming from different backgrounds and doing something so new.

Wasted 2 hours time on their webinar

Sat through the webinar and wasted almost 2 hours of my time. I was very interested, as I’ve started writing and have over 27k words for my first book and the starting of two more. I noticed in the webinar she said “night” and it was 9 am. Then she coughed and took a drink of water and mentioned that the webinar had to actually be live or she wouldn’t drink water. I instantly thought, that’s a weird thing to mention and it made me question if it was actually “live”. After the webinar there was a Q&A session, where she was supposedly answering our questions. I asked no less than 6 questions and did not receive a single response. I said it seemed fake and could she answer one of my questions or say hello to me so I could confirm it was live. No response. The Q&A was all staged questions in an effort to extend the timeframe they kept you on the website. I’m sure they’re hoping the longer they keep you on, the more likely they could get you to pay the $1,995. So they lied about it being a live event/webinar. Why lie?
I’ve been in many sales meetings and I hate the tactic of ‘you have to sign up now because there’s only a certain number/spots available’ or ‘you have to sign up before this “limited time offer” expires’. They try to get you to sign up on impulse with the threat of you missing out on ‘such a great deal’ and they know you probably won’t buy into it if you have time to think or question things. Those are the tactics of scammers. They also over-inflate the value of items, like $3,500 of value for “access to private FPA Community”. All it is, is a Facebook group. Also, a $3,000 value for them to “pick your first book topic” (to use the free credit), which they require for their satisfaction guarantee. Don’t see how that’s worth $3,000.
You pay $1,995 to join, but then also have to buy credits which cost $50 for each 10,000 words. There are all sorts of other fees you’ll need to pay like editing, cover design, ghostwriting (if you choose), ads on Amazon, marketing, email distribution lists, and so on.
Their website also has a spot where it says you’ll get a 50% profit margin. They show a lot of numbers for people who have been so successful, but don’t specify if that is gross or net income (one of the questions I asked).
Moral of the story: if something seems too good to be true, it most likely is.
Don’t waste your time watching their webinar; and if they have to lie and use shady tactics, stay away.

Hi ASether,

Our webinars are hosted live every Tuesday and often have hundreds of attendees. We do our best to answer as many questions as possible during the live Q&A, but unfortunately, we can't get to every question before the session ends. We understand that can be disappointing, but it does not mean the webinar or Q&A is staged. For those who are unable to attend live, a recording is made available afterward. If you have questions you would like answered before deciding whether FPA is the right fit for you, you can always reach out to our team at support@fictionprofitsacademy.com.

We would also like to clarify one point mentioned in your review: when you join FPA, you receive 20,000 manuscript word credits at no additional cost. After those credits are used, additional AI writing credits are available for $50 per 10,000 words, not $500 as stated.

We understand that not everyone will agree with how our program is structured or valued. However, the value of our program extends well beyond a single webinar. It reflects more than 10 years of developing our curriculum, coaching, software, and support systems to help thousands of students along their publishing journey.

Great Marketing Strategy

The marketing guidance I received from Coach Daniel was extremely helpful. I walked away with a clear strategy, practical next steps, more confidence to launch my books, and a much better understanding of how to effectively market my books.

Unimpressed

From where I sit, FPA provide an adequate, if sometimes out-of-date series of videos that will assist a prospective author to create manuscripts. For me at least, that is where it ends. I spent 'a chunk' on their 'Bootcamp' option - its so not worth it! Aside from the few videos, I got nothing. There were one ortwo (no more) exceptions, but on the whole the staff were unhelpful. Never once, did I get a call to just ask how I was doing, or why haven't you published yet, or is there anything we can do to help? I'm not saying they are useless, but absolutely nothing that comes near value for money.

Hi Jon,

We hate it when someone doesn’t love their experience with us, but we encourage you and anyone reading to consider the full picture.

Our records show that you completed Module 1, which focuses on mindset, and approximately half of Module 2 in a six module program. That means you engaged with only a small portion of the publishing training. You also used just one of the 12 personal coaching calls available to you, which is about 8% of the personalized coaching support included with Bootcamp.

As a result, you had not yet reached most of the core publishing curriculum or taken advantage of most of the direct support available before forming this assessment.

We also want to clarify that our training is actively maintained. We’ve released more than 15 course updates this year alone, and thousands of students have successfully used the program.

We share these facts not to dismiss your experience, but to give readers a more complete picture. We’d genuinely welcome the opportunity to help you reengage with the training and make use of your remaining coaching support. Please feel free to reach out to us at support@fictionprofitsacademy.com.

Breaking the Ice

My first 1:1 coaching call with Daniel Williams exceeded all expectations. I came into the call feeling completely overwhelmed by information overload, but Daniel's encouraging demeanor instantly put me at ease. His deep industry knowledge was clear; he shared practical tips rooted in real-world experience rather than a generic script. I left the call with genuine confidence and a clear, exciting roadmap for the future.

1 on 1 call with Lesia

Had a 1 on 1 call with Lesia who was so gracious to talk me through my frustrations around perfectionism in the writing process and my own publishing speed. I love this program so much and was feeling like I was failing a bit, leaving money on the table. She talked me off the ledge and helped me see the positive side of my process and how it will speed up.over time.
