While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Complete lack of integrity
Complete lack of integrity. Crisis cover for a benign brain tumour. The policy states a brain tumour "requiring removal by craniotomy". The policy is paid out "at diagnosis". Surgeons diagnosed my tumour, and that treatment by craniotomy was necessary. I chose not to have a craniotomy. Fidelity declined my claim stating the craniotomy is "mandatory" and they will only honor the policy after a craniotomy has been completed. Senior claims managers and fidelity staff could not identify where the policy says this. A senior claims manager stated "it doesn't specifically say it". But their claims committee managed to determine this at their own internal meeting.
I lodged a complaint regarding a crisis…
I lodged a complaint regarding a crisis cover claim process where contradictory advise was given by two Claims Officers. I have received several emails from said Fidelity stating 'we'll get in touch with you in 7- working days....we'll respond to your complaint within 10-working days'. I am still waiting to hear from them. This claim concern started in January 2025; it is now May 2025! This is unacceptable customer service. Fidelity are happy to take your money and increase premiums consistently, but in times of crisis, when you need their help, they ghost you!
They take forever to process…
They take forever to process applications and provide no feedback at all. When you call, they have 20 excuses. Consider a company that values client service and provides timely feedback.
They're in it for the money... not for you!
My wife and I carried a life insurance policy with Fidelity for over 3 decades. Their catch phrase is "we're there for you when you need us". From my experience this is a blatant lie. Once I turned 60 I noticed my premiums escalating far beyond normal. Last year when I informed them that the premiums were getting unaffordable and asked were they trying to force me out of my policy? They confirmed this to be correct. I had to drop my cover to a quarter of what it was just to make the premiums affordable. Within months my wife has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Their catchphrase should be "we're there for you until you need us".
